Walking back home, I began to ponder what the millitary would be like.
'Damn, I haven't even figured out what branch I wanna be in.'
If this were America I would have chosen something like the navy or space force, but this isn't america anymore. Matter of fact there is no US.
I think it was around 40 years ago that all the continents suddenly merged together and became one land mass. A lot of countries are no more. Some were taken over, while others were split kinda like the north and south of the US. The north and south had a rather positive relationship.
Then again they only really had a positive relationship because they had to or the human race would be turned into slaves. Anyways enough of this.
The millitary branches were as follows, marines, air force, army, awakened. The three main branches I'm sure you know. The awakened are individuals that can sense and harness mana. however, they cannot be used in battles against other human countries. They are only deployed in wars against other races such as elves, Dwarves, Demons, ect. Now an awakened has to be able to sense and harness mana. there can be one without the other.
You can sense mana but not be able harness it. you can also harness mana without sensing it. but you need to be able to do both to aquire the system.
The system is a phenomenon that happened shorty after different races came to our world. The system lays out Affinities, skills, classes, and titles. Unlike its game counterparts, it doesn't have Stats. You have to gauge your stats in you own way.
You see I was one of the rare few who could sense mana but not harness it. Actually speaking I have probably the best senses of mana. usually people can only feel it with one of their 5 senses. most common of these mana senses is touch. it goes in this order of most common to rare, touch, taste, hear, smell, and see. The rarer your mana sense is, the better you will be able to harness said mana or so i've heard. Out of these senses I can smell, taste, touch, and see mana, however, I can't hear mana.
Anyways enough of this info dumping. It's about time I explain how I got to where I am. A fucking interrogation room. Why you may ask? Well it's rather simple, consequences.
Finally making it home, I began to draw once more. This time it was a picture of the mana I can see. I could only see white particles but not their Affinities. Actually nobody could see the Affinities of airborne mana.
I watched as the mana replicated itself. it would expand theb have another mana particle grow off of itself. this process would take around four minutes for a single particles of mana to replicate itself once.
Watching this happen, I began to draw it. the way it would expand then suddenly grow another one of itself off of it. it would then condense back to its original size. Drawing a picture of its replication I began to feel sad as I couldn't truely show the beauty of its replication. It was one those things you had to see rather than hear about.
