Where the sun sets,
And never nears,
Where the moon is always close,
And day is never here.
There is a place we call
The land of the dusk and the night,
Or perhaps
The place of dawn beyond our sight.
We see the evening stars,
Shining bright all up high,
But now the moon just stays,
And never leaves the sky.
There is a legend,
Of centuries gone,
When dusk was banished,
When close came dawn.
He waits in solitude,
In his castle across the sea,
His vow echoing far,
To return in spirit, or free.
But today it's different,
Sunrise has come!
Could it be
That returning is dawn?
But the God of Dusk,
He waits and waits,
He has all the time in the world,
To contemplate their fates.
"And yet I win,"
He calls to Dawn,
"As the sun must rise,
Dawn must come."
