When we naturally talk about royalty, several things come to mind. They live surrounded by luxuries that many of us couldn't afford. Perhaps they waste some, maybe they have too many jewels, but we don't know. Between the common people and the grand castle in the center of the city, there are hundreds of guards.

But none have been able to catch me yet.

Ahem, let me introduce myself quickly. I am the queen, well, rather my name is "Queen." I am the royal corgi pet of the kingdom. I live in the palace with the one who wears the crown of the kingdom, a beautiful elderly woman with white curly hair, and the king, a man with a perpetually sour expression.

Most of the time, I used to stay inside the castle with my partner, another corgi like me, who pretended to be busy enough to impress me, but doesn't know that it has the opposite effect.

Since I spent most of the time alone, there wasn't much I could do on my own. I walked around the castle about 5 times before I came up with the idea that brings us here now: Sneaking out of this luxurious "prison."

When I looked out the window to survey the surroundings, the guards were always present. They were very careful with the people who approached, and with the castle completely surrounded by them, it wouldn't be an easy task. Fortunately, I noticed a blind spot in the rear of many of them: a large Labrador had managed to enter through some bushes and reach the castle. He simply wanted to mark his territory by urinating in a corner and then left laughing. But that gave me the opportunity to escape.

That night became my escape day, at least for a few hours, and I would quickly return home. My partner dozed off in our room, giving me a few licks on the ears before I got up to "go to the bathroom."

I quietly descended the royal stairs to the exit and realized that everything was closed: windows, doors, hatches, everything. There must still be a route that I hadn't thought of.

"Are you looking for someone, precious?"

A soft bark in my ear startled me in no time, making me jump to the side in fright. In front of me, a certain figure stood tall, holding its head high, exuding confidence, smiling at me with a relaxed gaze. It was the same Labrador from before.

"How...? You? Oh, wait, what are you doing here?"

But the Labrador merely smiled with a slight suppressed laugh, never taking his eyes off me. A stranger is a stranger, and part of my duty is to prevent them from entering the royal castle, my job as the royal dog.

"Leave immediately, or I'll have to kick you out right now," I growled at him, perhaps in a low tone. He was much taller than me, with a somewhat disheveled and not-so-neat coat, but with a calming look that, in a way, was reassuring.

The Labrador's laughter became complacent, displaying a carefree and relaxed attitude. He didn't seem intimidated by my threats.

"The last time I walked around here was to check one of my routes to the castle. So I believe I know it better than you would think."

"I live here, you idiot. If anyone is supposed to know the castle, it's me," I replied while keeping an eye out for anyone approaching, lowering my voice. "What do you want here? Are you a dog sent by an assassin? Do you carry a bomb with you? What do you plan to do to...?"

The Labrador started approaching me slowly, without any fear. I swallowed nervously as he got closer and noticed the evident difference in size and strength that separated us. I was somewhat afraid, but I didn't want to admit it. I closed my eyes and braced myself for the worst.

"The reason I came here... is because of you," he whispered in my ear, leaving me stunned for a moment, but not giving me a chance to refute anything as he gave me a big lick on the cheek... a warm lick. "I saw you watching me earlier, and I'm usually a very cautious dog. One of the most cautious you'll find, so I don't like leaving witnesses who might come looking for my head later, my queen."

"Queen? H-How do you know my name?" I asked, but the dog held me by the scruff of my neck, making me stay still. "W-What?"

"Do you want to go out with me for a while? I know the way out perfectly," there was no doubt in his voice about what he was saying, it was evident.

I stayed pensive for a moment about what was happening, and it was clear what could happen. I wanted to leave this place, at least for a few hours, and it would require a guide to safely get out and return the same way. Looking at it that way, he could be considered my personal royal guard. A guard... quite attractive, compared to my boring partner.

"Alright, fine. We can... go out for a while, if it means you'll leave the palace," I said, to which he smiled and let me down, starting to walk down the royal corridor as if he had been used to it before. "What do you gain from this?"

The Labrador smiled, showing his white and shiny teeth.

"I want nothing more than the thrill of a nocturnal adventure and the company of a fearless corgi like you. Besides, I can assure you that I won't reveal your secret to anyone. It will be our little secret."

I followed him from behind, telling him that I would be watching his every move, but it wasn't entirely true. The Labrador had a good physique, a smooth but soft coat when I briefly touched it, and a rather seductive voice... So I wanted to observe a little more, trying to get a glimpse of what was beneath that tail.

After a while, we ended up in front of a shelf. Everything seemed fine with it, but while I was expecting some mysterious lever or something similar, the dog simply crouched down and went underneath, inviting me to do the same. I followed him, and we crawled a little further until we reached a hole in front of us, large enough for the dog's head to fit through.

"Listen, little one, the trick here is to put your head in slowly and rotate, then your body will come out on its own. Okay? I'll wait for you on the other side."

With that said, the Labrador went out first. And for a brief moment, I reflected on what I was risking... Images of the corgi sleeping in my room were still present in my mind, but the adrenaline of this whole situation made them blurrier.

"Be careful, I'll wait here until you come out safely," but on the other hand, there was the Labrador. A stranger to me, but seemingly without ill intentions. I could hear him outside the hole, on the other side of the castle. He was clever, confident, and very affectionate. My corgi was also affectionate, to a lesser extent, but what really made me swallow nervously at new thoughts was... the fact that he wasn't like me. He was a Labrador, very different from me, and in terms of physical appearance... he had already won me over.

I ended up coming out of the hole following his instructions, and I let out a sigh as I held my breath to fit better inside. Outside, I opened my eyes as a cold breeze caressed every strand of my fur.

"The weather is very different out here, don't you think? Inside, you're so confined that even the air we mostly breathe is not the same as the one that flows freely," the Labrador commented as he sat by my side, wrapping his tail around mine, making them touch. "If I promise to bring you back safely, will you promise not to tell anyone about my intrusions?"

At this point, the Labrador had made me blush, with his snout getting closer and closer to mine. He knew exactly what he was doing, as did I, but I liked it. I liked this arrangement, this gentleness... this trust.

I swallowed nervously, looking into his eyes, and nodded.

The moon shone brilliantly that night, covering every corner of the city. As if it were the only one watching over us, but without telling anyone.

Not about the caresses he offered me, or the licks, or the beautiful gaze that made me blush even more. And certainly not... the kiss we ended up sharing, with a mutual closeness and no worries in mind, in a place filled with silence, where the somewhat timid kisses became bolder due to my inexperience and the desire for more than he offered.

I briefly separated from his lips, looking into his eyes. His gentle gaze mirrored a lost look in mine, and I was sure that I had the same expression in his eyes. That look that both of us knew well, filled with the desire to take it a step further...

"We can do it if you feel comfortable...," he whispered to me, keeping me close with his tail and his kisses, which lovingly returned to my neck, and I eagerly let myself be loved by the beautiful dog.

"I... well... it's not that I don't want to... I don't have much experience. Not much. Maybe just a little, that's why..."

I didn't want to tell him the truth in the midst of the warm atmosphere between the two of us. I was a virgin, as the corgi in the castle hadn't wanted to take the next step yet.

"There's still a lot to do, don't worry. Think about it. For now, it's best to get out of here before someone finds us," the Labrador commented, and I felt somewhat nervous.

He looked at me a little longer and gave me another kiss on the snout when I wasn't prepared for it, causing me to perk up my ears and puff up my tail, timidly reciprocating his lips... daring to slightly part my lips to give him a more passionate kiss, but he pulled back before I could do it.

He left me wanting more, but we were at risk of being seen by someone else. So I immediately followed him, running behind him without any doubt.

I knew there was a possibility that I might be just a game to him, but I wouldn't be any different... I decided not to think about it. Escaping from this place was now my goal at this moment. And luckily, without any issues, except for two guards marching in the distance, we encountered no problems during our escape.

We ran through the empty streets of the city, where everything was dark and people stayed inside their houses. Feeling like the whole kingdom was ours, or at least that's how it felt to me. A refreshing sensation, accompanied by the large dog whom I couldn't take my eyes off.

Running without fearing to bump into anything, without having to avoid golden vases or employees, I could finally stretch my legs as much as I wanted. And I think he noticed because we went to the first place he wanted to show me and that I had heard so much about: the park.
