Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: Going Abroad

Although he was in business, Fang Yuan didn't have the intention to manage it himself, so he planned to hire employees to help out. The salary he offered should be considered quite high, and he thought it would attract good talent.

Next, Fang Yuan decided to give his store a name. Suddenly, a car passed by the door, and the driver drove seven or eight meters before reversing back, staring at the "saber-toothed tiger" on the shelf.

"Roar..."

The mini saber-toothed tiger sensed the presence of a living being and immediately let out a low growl. If Fang Yuan hadn't been nearby, it would have definitely gone berserk.

"What the hell is this?"

The driver looked confused and asked Fang Yuan, "Bro, are you opening a store here?"

"Yes, a pet shop," Fang Yuan nodded.

The door of the car opened, and a young man with black hair quickly got out and ran into the store. "Whoa, is this a saber-toothed tiger? It can't be a toy, right?"

The driver also hurried out of the car. "A mini saber-toothed tiger? There's such a small tiger? I didn't know that."

"Is there still a saber-toothed tiger in this day and age?"

The two of them stood in front of the shelf, staring at the mini saber-toothed tiger in disbelief.

"It's real, imported from abroad," Fang Yuan smiled.

Suddenly, the young man in black said, "I'll buy it, 100,000, right? This thing would be perfect for picking up girls."

"Lin Feng, what do you mean? I saw it first," the driver said anxiously.

"So what if you saw it first? I'm buying it first..."

"No, boss, I'll offer 200,000. I want it," the driver said.

"I'll offer 300,000. Although the mini saber-toothed tiger is a bit small, it still looks quite majestic."

"Lin Feng, what exactly are you trying to do?" The driver was furious. "Boss, I'll offer 1.1 million!"

Fang Yuan was stunned. This mini saber-toothed tiger was worth so much?

In the end, the mini saber-toothed tiger was bought by the driver for 1.1 million, almost blinding Fang Yuan's titanium-alloy dog eyes. Even at that price, the guy Lin Feng still wanted to raise the bid. Fang Yuan wondered if his pricing was too low.

But no matter what, he had money now.

The one billion from selling the gold was still locked up, but Fang Yuan had switched to a new card and deposited the 1.1 million into the new account.

"I didn't think money could be so easy to make," Fang Yuan thought to himself. However, his goal wasn't making money; it was to pass the time.

The steel ball world had already entered the magic era. With magic and power, humans were bound to experience some chaos for a while. But that wasn't something Fang Yuan wanted to see. To solve this problem, the best way was to bring in foreign enemies.

And the best foreign enemies, without a doubt, were magical beasts!

Next, Fang Yuan planned to study how to create magical beasts and release them into the steel ball world, crafting a real magic world.

However, creating magical beasts wasn't as simple as creating humanoid species. It required adding supernatural elements to make the beasts naturally capable of using magic.

Fang Yuan planned to start with genetics. To do that, he needed to research biological genetics. Fortunately, his intelligence far exceeded that of normal humans, so learning shouldn't take too long.

As he was about to go buy books on genetics, Fang Yuan suddenly sensed someone approaching.

He extended his mental energy and immediately grew serious.

The people approaching were Tan Zhong and Qian Wushuang. It seemed they already knew he was back and were tailing him. Though they hadn't made any other moves, Fang Yuan didn't like being watched.

"Forget it, I'll go abroad. The world is so big, where can't I go?"

The main reason was that if he left for abroad, Fang Yuan wouldn't have to be so cautious. He could do whatever he wanted without worrying about fellow countrymen.

He didn't care about the shop he had just set up. Fang Yuan went back home, grabbed his phone and charger, and activated a teleportation array in his house. After a brief moment of hesitation, he also put away the photo album that Wang Yuanyuan gave him, then used a large teleportation spell and headed west.

When he appeared again, Fang Yuan realized that he had ended up in outer space.

Although he had controlled the distance, he had overlooked the fact that the Earth was round, and the forward trajectory caused him to appear in space.

Shaking his head, Fang Yuan looked at the Earth below, determined the direction, and performed the teleportation again.

Minutes later, the space ripples appeared again, and Fang Yuan disappeared into thin air.

This time, he controlled the distance well, and when he appeared, he was already in the airspace above the United States.

Then, using light distortion magic, he concealed his figure and teleported into the city below.

Washington, the capital of the United States.

Speaking of which, this was Fang Yuan's first time going abroad. His English wasn't bad, at least enough for normal communication. Fortunately, the mini saber-toothed tiger he sold for 1.1 million yuan had been exchanged for over 100,000 USD, enough to rent a shop. Once he earned enough, he would consider buying a house.

Although Fang Yuan wasn't lacking in money, if everything was taken from the steel ball world, it would be too boring. For now, it was just a form of entertainment—earning money, living life.

...

"Green, are you really leaving? When will you be back?"

Fang Yuan looked at a blonde, blue-eyed young man and said, "I can only rent a place for now; I don't have enough money. If you can wait a little longer, I can buy it."

"Oh, Fang, don't worry about the money. I'll be back after I finish my business. If I run out of money, I'll come back to ask you. Don't mess up my place," Green said hurriedly, grabbing his suitcase and getting into his car to leave.

Green was someone Fang Yuan had met the night he arrived in Washington. He had accidentally saved Green from a group of people chasing him, and Green seemed to be in a hurry to leave. He had learned that Fang Yuan was looking to buy a house, so he offered to rent his place to Fang Yuan.

It was a three-bedroom apartment. The front faced a residential street, and the back was a pedestrian street. The front had a big door, and the back had a store, all very convenient.

Fang Yuan hadn't expected to get such a bargain. The rent for just the store would be $100,000, but Green had rented the entire apartment to him for just $100,000.

"This guy... he must have done something shady and is running away," Fang Yuan thought, smiling. But he wasn't concerned. Since he was abroad, he wasn't afraid of anyone coming after him. If they annoyed him, he could just deal with them.

The apartment was already furnished, so Fang Yuan didn't need to do any renovations or buy furniture. Green had taken only the essentials, and it seemed like he was fleeing.

After moving in, Fang Yuan threw everything he didn't need into the steel ball world and left only the sofa, table, chairs, and necessary appliances. He didn't even bother going out to buy anything.

In the living room, there was a large flat-screen TV on the wall. Next to the TV, there was a door leading out to the shop space. The shop faced a lively pedestrian street.

"Blood Pond... what are you doing?"

Suddenly, there was a voice outside cursing.

Fang Yuan looked up and saw a woman on the street angrily pointing at two men.

"Miss, you're dressed so provocatively, but you don't want anyone to look? Then why wear it like that?" one of the men raised an eyebrow.

"What's it to you... don't block my way..." The woman angrily pushed past the two men and walked off.

Fang Yuan stroked his chin, feeling a bit uncomfortable with the foreign way of handling things.

He shook his head with a smile, then took out a sign with a recruitment notice. The monthly salary was set at $2,000, which should be considered high.

Just as he was about to turn and do something else, the foreign woman from earlier saw the recruitment notice and hurriedly ran over to ask, "Are you hiring? How about me?"

Fang Yuan looked up and took a good look at her. She was around 25 years old, quite beautiful, at least 1.8 meters tall, wearing a low-cut dress, and her chest was so large it nearly tore the dress apart.

"No," Fang Yuan shook his head.

"Why?" the woman asked, puzzled.

Fang Yuan thought for a moment, then said, "You're too beautiful. It might attract unwanted attention."

The woman: "..."
