Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: The Oviparous Human Tribe?

The consciousness focused on the eggs within the incubation nest on the Divine Mountain of the Steel Pearl World. Time flowed 1000 times faster inside the Steel Pearl World than outside, so he could clearly sense the changes. As time passed and the incubating nest generated the force needed for hatching, the eggs slowly began to transform.

The internal structure of the eggs was gradually changing, beginning to nurture life.

At the same time, Fang Yuan realized that the eggs, while being incubated, were also absorbing the essence of the sun and moon, though at a slow pace.

Clearly, the speed at which these eggs hatched was not as quick as chicken eggs—they couldn't hatch in a short time.

The reason for this was that Fang Yuan had created these eggs, not by the mother laying them, but by manufacturing them from scratch. The first step was to nurture life, then slowly incubate them.

This would take a long time.

Fortunately, Fang Yuan was in the outside world, and with the time difference of a thousand times, he had plenty of time to observe at his own pace.

After one day in the outside world, three years passed in the Steel Pearl World. Many eggs within the nest showed signs of life and vitality, as life energy gradually emerged.

Meanwhile, the substances inside the eggs, originally like serum, began to change structurally, gradually turning into flesh, bones, and even veins and organs.

Two days later, six years passed in the Steel Pearl World. Fang Yuan was astonished to discover that the life inside the eggs had formed into human baby shapes.

"Could this life be taking a human form?"

Fang Yuan was both surprised and pleased. He speculated that the reason for this might be that he had used his own genetic material, and it was influenced by his own essence.

What made him even more joyful was that there were both male and female lives, and not all were the same sex, even though they came from the same batch of eggs. It seemed there were unknown variations during the incubation process.

"This means I don't need to continue creating them. They can reproduce on their own!"

"The embryos have already taken form. They should be ready to emerge soon!"

Fang Yuan was eagerly anticipating the outcome.

However, the following events took him by surprise.

The embryos continued developing, slowly transforming from embryos into fully-formed beings. Their limbs became proportionate, and hair began to grow.

Although their individual size remained small, their bodies were developing inside the eggs.

The male and female embryos continued to develop normally and, though it was unclear whether they would be useful, they were nearly indistinguishable from adult humans.

Finally, after ten years of incubation, the first life form was born. It was a male who broke the hard egg shell and pierced through the membrane, crawling out of the nest.

Fang Yuan observed the event with a strange expression on his face as the new life emerged.

It was a small being, only the size of a palm, but resembling a human child of about ten to thirteen years old. It could open its eyes as soon as it was born, and aside from its small size, it looked very much like a human.

The little one crawled out of the nest and stood at the edge, gazing around with innocent eyes filled with curiosity.

"Slap!"

Fang Yuan slapped his forehead. "I should've made the eggs bigger when I created them. Now it's a tiny human tribe!"

But since it had already happened, he had no choice but to continue.

As the first human-like life form emerged, other beings in the incubation nest began to break their shells one after another.

In no time, several male and female life forms, each the size of a palm, crawled out of the nest and stood above it, their eyes wide with curiosity and intelligence.

Clearly, these life forms were intelligent beings, which eased Fang Yuan's concerns.

However, he suspected that the first life forms he had created might turn out to be failures.

The little beings didn't seem afraid of Fang Yuan. They began to crawl out of the insect queen's nest and slowly started walking. They didn't cry or make noise, their eyes full of curiosity about the world.

Some of them even playfully crawled up Fang Yuan's legs, but as soon as his divine aura from the world spread, it immediately frightened them into silence, their faces pale.

What was interesting was that, although terrified, they didn't cry, unlike human babies.

Fang Yuan noticed that all the eggs had hatched, though two of them seemed to have problems during the incubation, resulting in some defects. However, this didn't seem to have a significant impact.

"Well, it's my first time creating life. I'll just observe them for now!"

Fang Yuan decided to truly create a new human tribe, so he didn't teach them how to speak or wear clothes. Instead, he provided them with fresh water from the world and occasionally gave them roasted meat to observe their growth.

To his surprise, Fang Yuan originally thought these little beings would remain small forever, but as time passed, he noticed they were growing rapidly.

At the age of one, they were already half a meter tall and growing fast.

At two years old, they were about 1.5 meters tall, able to run and jump like human beings of fifteen or sixteen years old.

But after that, they stopped growing in height. Instead, their appearances matured and their strength increased.

By the time they were ten years old, they were still only 1.5 meters tall, with the males being handsome and the females beautiful.

Perhaps influenced by Fang Yuan, although he hadn't taught them anything, they had already learned to cover their bodies with plants and make simple clothes.

What was even more surprising was their intelligence. When Fang Yuan occasionally muttered something, they managed to pick it up and understand the meaning.

Although Fang Yuan hadn't deliberately taught them language, they only knew simple sounds. Most of their communication was through body language, making it easy for them to understand one another.

By the time they were ten years old, Fang Yuan realized that the little human tribe was starting to develop sexual instincts, showing signs of pairing.

In order to observe them, Fang Yuan decided to let them live in the Divine Mountain, where they could use the local resources.

He remained an observer, rarely interacting with them, and his divine presence made them revere him greatly.

"That should be enough. These human-like beings have surprisingly good survival abilities. It's time to release them!"

Fang Yuan noticed that some of the females had swollen bellies, indicating they were pregnant and capable of reproducing. He decided to use spatial movement to send them to the edge of the world, separating them from the human tribes of Earth.

What he originally thought were failed life forms turned out to bring him unexpected joy.

However, even though he released them, Fang Yuan took precautions to ensure their early reproduction. He surrounded the valley with mountains, only allowing small animals to enter.

The valley, with its abundant trees, would provide them with enough food.

After releasing them, Fang Yuan continued to observe, ensuring they could adapt to their new environment.

Over the next thirty years, Fang Yuan also kept an eye on the human tribes.

Currently, the human tribes were divided into two major factions. One faction, led by the Bai family, had greatly promoted the progress of civilization.

The other faction was led by Qing You, a matriarchal society where she controlled the God's Staff, ruling over the lives and deaths of thousands of people.

Perhaps because she consumed the insect queen's inner elixir, Qing You had gained some of the insect queen's abilities. She was highly skilled in childbirth, and the children she bore could be controlled by her mental power, ensuring their absolute loyalty to her. This allowed her to control her faction even more effectively.

In the past thirty years, Qing You had given birth to over fifty children, which made Fang Yuan wonder if she had been possessed by the insect queen.
