"What are you checking?" Chen Xiyun turned around and saw Fang Yuan scrolling through text messages on his phone.
"Found it, you take a look yourself." Fang Yuan handed the phone to Chen Xiyun.
With some confusion, Chen Xiyun took the phone and saw that it was a bank message. Then she was shocked by the long string of zeros.
"One, two, three, four, five..." Chen Xiyun's eyes widened in disbelief. "One hundred million and seven yuan? Is this your savings?"
Chen Xiyun felt like she was dreaming. She had previously mentioned that Wang Lili's husband had assets worth over a hundred million, something Fang Yuan could not compare to. But now, she found out that even Fang Yuan's savings had surpassed that amount.
Assets worth over a hundred million and savings over a hundred million are completely different concepts, because assets might include a lot of real estate that is hard to liquidate. But cash is different—it can be spent at any time.
This was also after Fang Yuan had bought so many things, emptying out the bird and flower market; otherwise, there would be more.
"I made a deal with Nilo Jewelry a while ago and earned all of this. But such deals will probably be rare in the future," Fang Yuan said with a smile.
"What kind of deal did you make? Grave robbing? Or smuggling national treasures?" Chen Xiyun asked, her eyes wide in surprise.
Fang Yuan stared at her in astonishment. "You're thinking too much. I just sold all the gold buried in my family's cellar."
"Your family has that much gold in the cellar? Why doesn't mine have any gold?" Chen Xiyun said, clearly displeased. "Wait, it seems my house doesn't have a cellar. I'll definitely dig one next time. Maybe there's some gold hidden there."
Fang Yuan laughed. Chen Xiyun had quite a sense of humor. He replied, "This gold was left by my ancestors. It didn't grow there by itself."
"Of course I was just kidding. Do you think I'm really that foolish?" Chen Xiyun smiled. "No wonder you don't work. You have so much money, enough to last a lifetime."
"Hmm. So, have you ever had a girlfriend?" Chen Xiyun asked.
"I had one in college. I'm not a virgin anymore," Fang Yuan replied with a smile.
Chen Xiyun immediately looked at Fang Yuan with suspicion. "So, how many girlfriends have you had before Lili?"
Fang Yuan stared at her, shocked. "Did Lili tell you this too?"
"Of course. We're real sisters, we can talk about anything," Chen Xiyun said, proudly.
Fang Yuan was stunned. "With that kind of relationship, you still dare to date me? By the way, don't you feel she just tossed you aside?"
Chen Xiyun glanced at Fang Yuan. "Lili told me you're a man who values emotions. When she suddenly got married, you locked yourself in your house for two months. A man who values emotions like that, why would I let you go?"
"Also, it's not that she tossed you aside. She told me she didn't know you loved her. If she had known, she wouldn't have married someone else. She hoped I could help you get back on your feet. But now, it seems like you don't need help at all. You have so much money, you can spend a lifetime enjoying it."
Fang Yuan inwardly chuckled bitterly. Could he explain that it was all a misunderstanding?
At that moment, three young girls were walking hand in hand from the other side of Qingcha Mountain, heading down the stairs. One of them, upon seeing Fang Yuan and Chen Xiyun, stopped in her tracks. "Fang Yuan? Xiyun, you're here too?"
The girl was Wang Yuanyuan, and the other two girls, about the same age, looked youthful and beautiful—they must have been her classmates.
"Yuanyuan, you're here too? It's getting dark. Hurry and take your classmates home," Chen Xiyun smiled.
Fang Yuan also nodded and smiled at Wang Yuanyuan.
Wang Yuanyuan was about to say something, but then noticed a bright pink flower sticking out of Fang Yuan's pocket. Her face immediately changed.
"Yuanyuan, let's go down the mountain. It's getting dark and unsafe," Chen Xiyun suggested.
"Yeah, we'll come back another day," Wang Yuanyuan said to her two classmates.
"You two go ahead. I'll stay with Xiyun," Wang Yuanyuan suddenly said.
"Alright then. Let's hang out another time," her two classmates chirped and, without a second thought, skipped down the mountain.
"Yuanyuan, why aren't you leaving? It's getting dark. Don't make your sister worry," Chen Xiyun asked in confusion.
"I'm fine, I have a car. And Fang Yuan will protect me. Last time, he saved me when some bad guys tried to hurt me," Wang Yuanyuan said with a smile.
Fang Yuan immediately felt uneasy. What's going on with this little girl?
But Chen Xiyun's face changed slightly when she heard that. "Who hurt you? Tell Xiyun, I'll stand up for you."
"It's all fine now. Fang Yuan is amazing, he beat up those three bad guys and sent them to the hospital," Wang Yuanyuan said.
Fang Yuan's face darkened. Was this little girl praising him or slandering him?
Chen Xiyun was stunned, as though just realizing something. "Fang Yuan, you know Yuanyuan?"
"Yes," Fang Yuan nodded.
"I'm very familiar with Fang Yuan. I often visit his house," Wang Yuanyuan smiled.
Huh? This little girl manages to mention herself in almost every sentence. Fang Yuan looked at her with a strange expression.
"Right, given your sister's relationship with Fang Yuan, it makes sense that you know each other. I overlooked that," Chen Xiyun said, seemingly realizing something. Then, turning to Fang Yuan, she said, "It's getting late, we should go down the mountain."
Wang Yuanyuan immediately felt a bit annoyed. Xiyun, you're not focusing on the right thing!
"Alright, let's go," Fang Yuan nodded with a smile.
By now, the sunset had completely set, and the winter night fell quickly. The lights on Qingcha Mountain flickered in green, illuminating the beautifully shaped tea trees.
The three of them chatted while heading down the mountain.
As they left Qingcha Mountain, Fang Yuan suddenly said, "By the way, doesn't a blind date usually involve dinner or a movie?"
"You're on a blind date?" Wang Yuanyuan asked in shock.
Chen Xiyun smiled and patted Wang Yuanyuan's head. Then, turning to Fang Yuan, she said, "Forget about it tonight. I still have to work at the shop. If you're free, we can have lunch together tomorrow."
"Alright then, see you. Wait…" Fang Yuan nodded with a smile, then seemed to remember something and quickly checked his pocket. But the flower was gone. Looking down, he saw Wang Yuanyuan holding it. Wasn't that the flower he had?
When did she take it?
"Do you still have any?" Chen Xiyun asked with a smile.
"Uh, no. See you tomorrow," Fang Yuan replied, giving Wang Yuanyuan a subtle glare.
Wang Yuanyuan immediately made a funny face at him.
"See you tomorrow," Chen Xiyun smiled, took Wang Yuanyuan's hand, and left. Their car was parked elsewhere.
Fang Yuan chuckled. This blind date was probably a success.
On the way back home, Fang Yuan had a smile on his face. Although it was his first time meeting Chen Xiyun, he felt very comfortable with her. He liked that feeling.
He was about to turn twenty, and it was time to seriously consider marriage. He still had a couple of years to get to know the person.
That meant, realistically, his ideal age for marriage would be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight.
Back home, just as Fang Yuan was about to open the door, he sensed something odd inside the house. His senses were now sharper than most people's.
Fang Yuan quickly spread his awareness and discovered that eight people were hiding in the living room, each holding a weapon, with one even carrying a gun.
That familiar black suit made Fang Yuan recognize them immediately.
His heart filled with anger. "They've gone too far this time." Then, with a thought, he opened his World Communication ability and pulled all eight people into the room.
"Well… I just decided to stay low-key last night, and now this…" Fang Yuan shook his head and laughed.
