"Feel free to take a breather if you need it," Death suggested, his fingers gently combing through the strands of my bob-cut-styled hair.
I shook my head, noticeably calmer than before. "The next memory probably won't be as bad as the previous one. Let's continue."

Hesitantly, Death snapped his fingers. The In-Between changed its setting to my university's campus. However, the university was livelier than usual.
In this memory, the campus was celebrating the university's foundation day. Instead of having boring classes, the university has prepared a Carnival-like celebration on the school grounds.
