As they continued walking towards their destination, Sunshine and I continued chattering like there was no tomorrow.
Even though we just met and only knew each other in such a short timeframe, we were already getting along quite well.
"Oh," Sunshine exclaimed, her eyes wide and delighted. "You also did gardening as a kid?"
"I loved gardening!" Even though I wasn't the type to overshare, I did so with Sunshine. "I used to bond with my dad through seed and soil."
"'Used to?'" Sunshine repeated, cocking her head.
For a moment, I was silent and unsure if I should share this information about myself from the get-go with someone she just met. But seeing that Sunshine was harmless and that this information about my past didn't bother me as much as it used to, I decided it was time to share it with someone.
