Louis and his family arrived at their destination, and he parked his car near a house.

After the car came to a halt, a black dog suddenly jumped in front of their car, eyeing the family who was shocked by the sudden arrival of a dog.

Growl~

The dog started to growl at them without taking its eyes off them.

Gulp~

Seeing the dog growling at them, Louis, Rachel, and Ellie gulped, feeling the ominous aura emitted from the black dog that suddenly appeared before their car, scaring them a little.

After standing still for a few seconds and growling at them, the dog suddenly started to run into the forest at full speed.

Noticing the black dog had disappeared into the forest, there was an awkward silence in the car.

Cough... cough...

"Don't mind it. It's just a street dog."

Louis coughed to defuse the tension and got out of the car, followed by Rachel who was carrying Gage.

Ellie, who noticed the house before them, looked at it in awe.

The house was a large, old, and charming New England-style home.

It sat on a spacious piece of land with a big front yard and a forested area behind it.

The house was much bigger and more spacious than their previous house.

Chuckle~

"Do you like our new house, Ellie?"

Noticing Ellie's reaction, Louis chuckled and asked her opinion on their new house, which they were going to live in from now on.

"This whole place is ours?"

Ellie exclaimed in shock and excitement upon hearing Louis say they were going to live in such a big house.

Louis nodded his head with a grin on his face and opened the door.

Creak...

He put down the things he was carrying on the floor.

Rachel, still carrying Gage, went inside the house to look around while Ellie was in the front yard looking around.

Louis came out while chatting with the curious Ellie.

Suddenly, a huge truck passed through the mud road at high speed, startling Louis and Ellie who were standing in the front yard.

Rachel, who was inside the house, came out in a hurry after the truck passed, looking concerned.

They settled into the house.

The next day...

Louis went to join his new workplace while Rachel, Ellie, and Gage stayed at the house.

Rachel was disposing of the waste after cleaning their new house in the garbage can.

Dump... dump...

Suddenly, they heard a drumming sound from the forest beside their house.

Curiously, both of them went into the forest to look for the source of the drumming.

When they entered the forest, they saw a group of kids carrying a cat somewhere while wearing creepy masks with animal faces.

"Mom, what are they doing?"

Ellie asked, looking at the group of kids her age carrying a cat while wearing weird masks.

"It's a sad parade, Ellie."

Even though Rachel didn't know the details, she understood from the look of it that those kids were going to bury someone's pet.

One girl wearing a cat mask among the group of kids suddenly stopped, turned, looked at Ellie for a second, and then left.

"Let's go, Ellie. I have a lot of work to do."

Rachel called Ellie, who was looking at the path where the kids left and tried to leave.

Ellie, who was about to follow, noticed another house near the woods, and at the windows of the house, she noticed someone watching her leave.

After they returned home, Rachel went to do housework while Ellie was watching her favourite show, SpongeBob.

But her mind was still on the group of kids they met in the forest.

She was curious about where they went.

Noticing her mother was busy in the kitchen, she left the house, entered the forest, and started following the trails left behind by the kids.

After following for a few minutes, she arrived at a weird cemetery and noticed a wooden board stating "Pet Cemetery."

Even though looking at the cemetery before her felt creepy, she looked around and suddenly noticed the path she was following was blocked by many wooden trunks and rocks.

"Don't climb it, girl."

She tried to climb the wooden trunks to bypass the blockage but was stopped by an old, deep voice from behind her.

Startled by the voice, Ellie fell from the spot she climbed.

Ouch~

Seeing Ellie was hurt, the old man checked Ellie's injury.

After seeing there was no serious injury, the old man helped Ellie stand up and introduced himself as Jud Crandall.

While Jud was telling Ellie about the Pet Cemetery and how the nearby town folks come here to bury their pets,

Rachel arrived at the Pet Cemetery angrily and started scolding Ellie for coming deep inside the forest alone without informing her.

There, Ellie introduced the old man who helped her to her mother.

After that, both of them left the Pet Cemetery while Rachel was still scolding Ellie for not informing her.

Days passed...

During this time, Louis' family and Jud became acquaintances.

One day, Louis invited Jud to his house for dinner and asked about how long his property extended.

Jud explained that Louis's property included the Pet Cemetery and also extended very deep into the forest.

When Jud mentioned the Pet Cemetery, suddenly Louis's face changed, and he remembered the illusion he had in the hospital when he tried to save one of the patients.

Even though all his efforts went in vain, when he was washing his blood-stained hands in the washroom, he saw the dead person who had died a moment ago standing behind him with a bloodied face in the mirror.

"Don't try to open the thing which is closed."

When Louis turned back in shock, the dead person screamed in a coarse voice and vanished.

When Louis noticed it was just an illusion, he sighed, not knowing that this was the starting point that would cause a big disaster for his family.

After dinner with Jud, they sent him off and went to the house to fall asleep.

At midnight...

Louis woke up to the sudden noise of a truck passing through the road at high speed.

Sigh~

With a sigh, he closed his eyes and tried to sleep but opened his eyes to the voice of someone calling him to come outside.

Louis left the room and walked towards the back door where the voice was calling him, confused about who would come at midnight.

"Please follow me, Louis."

When he opened the door, he saw the same man who had died earlier at the hospital looking at him from behind a tree and calling him to follow in a creepy, low voice.
