After learning that Jojo was in police custody, Kang and Jenny hurriedly left the house to go to the police station and clear the charges against Jojo.
"Kang, hurry up! We need to get to the police station fast. Did Jojo tell you anything else?" Jenny sat in the front seat of the car beside Kang.
"No, the call ended after he informed us that he was held in the police station." Kang shook his head.
"Do you think he was caught when he tried to hunt a sinner?" Jenny asked with a worried face.
"____"
"Impossible. Do you think they can catch him if his identity is exposed?" Kang immediately disapproved of Jenny's suggestion.
Police Station...
Jojo was sitting on a bench, observing the officers moving around, handling documents, and going about their duties peacefully.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Charlie exited the chief's office, heading towards Jojo.
"What is your purpose for being in that alley?" Charlie asked Jojo in a serious tone, his gaze fixed on Jojo, looking for any signs of deception.
"I heard someone calling for help, so that's why I entered the alley." Jojo maintained eye contact with Charlie, answering calmly.
Seeing that Jojo didn't flinch under pressure, Charlie raised an eyebrow.
"Then what's your reason for being there after school, which is on the opposite side of your home?" Charlie inquired, his next question being recorded in the case file.
Sigh...
Hearing this, Jojo let out a sigh.
"It's my hobby to take a ride around on my motorcycle whenever I need some fresh air," Jojo explained with a hesitant smile.
"Is that so?" Charlie tapped the pen on the pad containing the case file while briefly taking his eyes off Jojo.
"Did you inform your family that you are in the police station?" Charlie asked Jojo, handing him his phone to make the call.
"Well, I already informed them. Thanks for your kindness."
Jojo declined Charlie's offer with an innocent smile, aiming to leave a good impression in Charlie's mind and avoid future troubles.
Seeing that Jojo had already informed his family, Charlie nodded and was about to leave. However, he accidentally bumped into a staff member, causing some documents to fall.
"I'm sorry, I didn't notice you. Let me help you." Charlie started to pick up the pages.
As Jojo went to assist the officer in collecting the scattered documents, he noticed a picture attached to one of them. It bore strange symbols.
Jojo examined the picture closely to confirm his suspicions.
'It's the same markings I found in the cave where I saved those girls from that evil cult or something.' Jojo was deep in thought, scrutinizing the markings, trying to recall every detail he saw on that day.
When Charlie turned back, he found Jojo intently studying the picture in his hand.
"What happened?" Charlie asked Jojo, observing him closely.
"____"
"Nothing. What is this pattern? It looks very different and creepy." Jojo asked Charlie, showing him the picture.
Charlie looked at the picture with narrowed eyes and shook his head.
"It's a picture that was sent from the department to all the stations for investigating a matter involving a serial murderer who killed many orphaned children aged 5 to 10." The officer, who had dropped the file, informed Charlie.
"Where was this picture taken?" Jojo asked the officer, who was about to head to the chief's office.
"Oh, it's..."
"It's not your concern, okay? Go and sit on the bench like a good kid." Charlie interrupted him, pointing towards the bench Jojo had been sitting on before.
"____"
Jojo didn't ask any further questions and complied, returning to the bench and waiting for Kang to arrive at the station to pick him up.
Charlie and the officer went into Charlie's office to discuss something crucial.
After 30 Minutes...
Kang and Jenny entered the station in a hurry. When they saw Jojo sitting near the bench, they walked towards him.
"Jojo, what happened?" Jenny asked Jojo with concern.
"Well, you see, they misunderstood. They thought I was one of the thugs..." Jojo began to explain, offering a modified version of the story he told Charlie.
Both Jenny and Kang understood what Jojo was trying to do and didn't say anything.
Charlie, noticing this, emerged from his office and began to talk to Kang and Jenny about the situation. After a brief discussion, Jojo was free to return home.
Kang and Jenny took the car while Jojo rode his motorcycle and left the station.
Jojo's House...
Jojo entered the house with a tired face and collapsed on the couch.
"Now, can you tell us what happened?" Kang asked, sitting across from Jojo.
Seeing Kang and Jenny eagerly awaiting an explanation, Jojo started to recount how he heard a cry for help, how he met Charlie at the alley, and how he was mistaken for the fake boss of the thugs to escape.
"Hahaha... Hahaha..."
"Haha..."
Both Kang and Jenny burst into laughter at Jojo's comical account of the events.
"____"
"I can't help but laugh when I picture what happened." Kang, seizing the opportunity, laughed heartily.
"Sara, I need a copy of the serial murder document that was sent to the police station today." Jojo didn't pay any attention to Kang and instead instructed Sara to access the police station's files.
"Sir, today a total of five documents were sent to the police station, one of which was the case file for a serial murderer who killed 32 orphaned kids aged between 5 and 10."
Sara proceeded to explain the content of the document to Jojo.
"What happened, Jojo?" Jenny asked upon hearing about the serial murderer.
"Oh... I found the same patterns I saw in the cave where I saved those girls from the evil cult on this case file at the police station." Upon hearing Jojo's words, Jenny's eyes widened.
"Holy cow! You mean this serial murderer is in Forks?" Kang asked, making a mental note to double-check if all the windows and doors were securely locked.
"No, Sir Kang. This happened in New York." Sara's response greatly relieved Jenny.
"Sara, keep tabs on this case," Jojo instructed Sara to monitor for any new information that might come up.
"Okay, Sir."
