Chapter 122 - Chapter 117: B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Bananas!...

Police Station...

While Jojo and the others were deciding their next destination, the situation at the police station was far from good.

After taking David to the hospital, Dana immediately rushed to the station to check on the status of reinforcements, which had still not arrived since she left for the hospital.

"What's the situation? Did anyone get injured?"

She approached the ambulance, its rear doors nearly torn apart by the Creeper's brute force and directed her question to a nearby officer.

He was responsible for analyzing the damaged ambulance for clues.

"According to the driver and his accomplice, who were in another ambulance behind this one, they claim to have seen a monster. It destroyed the door and then flew into the sky."

Hearing Dana's inquiry, the officer gave a quick salute before explaining the current state of affairs and the eyewitness testimony.

"____"

'Motherf*er…'

Dana's face darkened as she cursed internally, her expression grim.

"And from the forensic analysis of the muscle tissue found inside the ambulance along with the dead body... The expert couldn't come up with any logical explanation. He's guessing that somehow one of the bodies exploded."

Noticing Dana's expression, the officer continued, detailing the findings of the forensic expert assigned to the case.

With a nod, Dana walked to a secluded spot, pulled out her phone, and dialled the number Jojo had given her to stay connected in case of emergencies.

Day 22...

(A/N: I made a few changes to start the plot of Jeepers Creepers 2 on the 22nd day instead of the 23rd.)

Deep in thought, Jojo decided to take Gaylen and her granddaughter Addison along with them.

They followed the group's car in the old truck that Gaylen owned.

Ring... Ring...

As the car travelled toward Louisiana, their destination where the Creeper's current body resided in an old mansion, Jojo's phone suddenly started ringing.

"Connect the call, Sara."

In a calm tone, Jojo instructed Sara to connect the incoming call while he focused on driving.

Once the call connected, Dana began explaining the situation on her end.

She detailed how the Creeper had emerged from one of the ambulances carrying the dead bodies of its victims from the nearly burned-down old church.

"We've found a clue about the Creeper's real body. We're currently heading to Louisiana, where it's located. After resolving this, I'll inform you. Until then, follow the instructions I gave you."

Jojo responded calmly after hearing Dana confirm his theory about the Creeper's puppetry.

He reminded her to stick to the instructions he had given before she took David from the motel.

Inside the Forest...

Deep in the woods, where the Creeper's old truck lay parked, the Creeper itself was motionless, its head and eyes pierced through by sharp grails.

Caw~ Caw~

Shiver~ Shiver~

Noticing the motionless body of the Creeper, a few ravens descended from the sky, their wings flapping as they landed on its lifeless form.

The ravens began pecking at the Creeper, trying their best to tear off small pieces of flesh to sate their hunger.

Feeling the persistent pecking, the Creeper's hand started to shiver and twitch, signalling its slow return to consciousness.

Thud~

With a sudden movement, the Creeper's hand slipped through one of the gaps between the grails and pulled a metal lever on the side.

As the lever clicked, the grail that had pierced its head retracted upward, freeing the Creeper's entangled skull.

Flap~ Flap~

Opening its large, bat-like wings from its back, the Creeper took to the sky with visible difficulty.

Its body was severely damaged, impaled by its trap—crafted meticulously by its own hands—made of weapons so sharp they could slice through its tough skin and bones as if they were butter.

The Creeper's face was heavily disfigured.

One eye was missing, half of its jaw was gone, and the left side of its face was a gaping hole where its ear had been entirely torn off.

Now, the Creeper urgently needed to find suitable prey with a healthy body to regenerate its missing parts.

Grr~

As it struggled through the air, it made a mental note: it would deal with the boys who had dared to pee on its favourite truck.

It would make sure they paid dearly for what they had done.

School Bus...

A standard yellow bus was carrying a group of high school athletes, cheerleaders, and coaches, all returning from a championship basketball game.

Their victory over one of the toughest opponents in the tournament had the atmosphere inside the bus buzzing with excitement.

"B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Bananas!

B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Bananas!"

The students were singing, dancing, and cheering as the bus rolled down the road toward the school.

Bang~

Screech~

A loud bang suddenly disrupted the celebration.

The bus swerved dangerously, but the experienced school bus driver, Betty Borman, skillfully controlled it and brought it to a screeching halt.

The students and staff, caught off guard by the unexpected explosion, sat in stunned silence. The once-cheerful atmosphere had turned tense as everyone tried to catch their breath from the adrenaline rush.

"What happened, Betty?"

Coach Charlie Hanna, accompanied by his assistant coach, Dwayne Barnes, stood up and approached the driver's seat to inquire about the situation.

Sigh~

"It seems like our bus tyre just busted,"

Betty replied with a defeated sigh as she opened the door.

She stepped out to assess the damage, followed closely by the two coaches, who felt responsible for ensuring the student's safety.

"Oh god... what is this?"

"Ah~"

Betty froze in shock as she saw the bus tyre had been pierced by an unfamiliar weapon—a shuriken.

Its jagged edges gleamed ominously in the sunlight.

As she tried to pull it out, its razor-sharp blades cut her hand, causing her to cry out in pain.

Noticing her injury, Charlie stepped forward.

With some effort, he managed to extract the shuriken.

Holding it up for examination, both coaches stared at it in disbelief.

It wasn't just the grotesque design of the weapon that unsettled them—it was the sight of a human tooth embedded in the back of the shuriken.

"Shit..."

Caught off guard, Charlie dropped the weapon to the ground and cursed under his breath.

Betty, shaken but determined, headed back to the front of the bus to use the walkie-talkie to contact the school or anyone nearby for assistance.

Unfortunately, the bus's location had no cellphone signal, leaving them stranded for the time being.

Realizing it could take hours for a mechanic to arrive and repair the busted tyre, the students began to exit the bus.

Some wandered around the area, stretching their legs, while others climbed onto the roof of the bus to bask in the sun.

Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched.

After 5 Hours...

Even though Jojo thought Louisiana was close, taking a turn off the highway led to nearly five more hours of travel.

Finally, they reached the outskirts of the state, surrounded by dense forest.

"Why is this place so deep in the woods?"

Klaus glanced at the sky, now shrouded in darkness, and shouted in frustration.

"Jojo, look!"

Leah, who had taken over the driving, pointed ahead at a school bus.

It was in bad shape, clearly damaged from an accident.

The strong scent of blood hung heavy in the air, making her grimace.

Jojo narrowed his eyes as he studied the scene.

His expression shifted from confusion to realization.

Even though he had altered the plot, it seemed the Creeper had still attacked the school bus.

Without wasting time, Jojo instructed Leah to pull over.

The car came to a halt, and the group stepped out.

Jojo quickly turned to Gaylen, Addison, Trish, and Darry.

"Stay in the car with Klaus, Elijah, and James. James, you stand guard and alert us if the Creeper tries anything."

The newborn vampire nodded, his heightened senses already on alert as he scanned the surrounding area.

As the group moved closer to the bus, the terrified students inside began screaming for help, their voices filled with panic.

"Calm down, kids! You're safe now!"

Rosalie's voice rang out, firm and reassuring, cutting through the chaos.

Her commanding tone had an immediate effect; the students began to quiet down, though fear still lingered in their wide eyes.

Jojo assessed the scene.

The fear in the students' faces, the state of the bus, and the blood dripping from the roof told a grim story.

Ignoring the warnings of the panicked kids, who shouted about a monster, Jojo climbed onto the bus's roof to investigate further.

What he found made his stomach churn—a half-eaten human head lay grotesquely on the roof alongside a headless, mutilated body.

Roar~

A loud, guttural roar suddenly broke through the stillness.

Jojo's head snapped up toward the sky, where he saw the Creeper silhouetted against the moon.

Its one intact wing spread wide as it dove rapidly from the sky.

Despite the missing arm and its heavily damaged body, the Creeper's hatred burned bright, visible even from afar.

Swish~ Swish~

The Creeper hurled shurikens and daggers with deadly precision, their sharp edges gleaming in the moonlight as they sped toward Jojo.

Its roar echoed again, filled with rage and a clear intent to kill.

Jojo's muscles tensed as he prepared for the confrontation, his sharp eyes tracking the Creeper's every move.
