Chapter 1 - Intro

If one were to speak of the most famous bachelors in the West Coast, the name on everyone's lips would be the Cadman brothers.

The Cadman family was a prominent name in the West Coast, known for their unrivaled success in business and their vast wealth. Everywhere they went, they were the center of attention. The brothers, Frederick, Andre, and Hugo are the current generation of the Cadman family. They were known as the hottest bachelors in town, and their names were synonymous with wealth, power, and prestige. With their chiseled features, sparkling eyes, and commanding presence, they were the epitome of the phrase "living the good life".

However, the Cadman brothers were more than just good looks and wealth. Frederick, the eldest of the brothers, was the one in charge of the family business. He was known as the mastermind behind the family's success and the driving force behind their continued growth. His reputation as a savvy businessman was unmatched, and his instincts for success were unerring. He was always on the lookout for new opportunities, always seeking ways to expand the family's holdings and increase their wealth.

His younger brothers, Andre and Hugo, were equally talented and successful in their own right, but they deferred to Frederick when it came to making decisions about the family business. They trusted his judgment and respected his expertise, knowing that he had their best interests at heart.

Frederick was a man who exuded confidence and charm, with his sharp, chiseled features and strong, muscular physique. Standing tall at 6 feet 5 inches, his face, etched with strong features, exuded an air of resolve. His eyes, a captivating shade of golden, hint at depths of untold stories. Initially mistaken for gray, his hair reveals itself to be a shimmering silver, lending an air of timeless sophistication. His demeanor spoke of strength and quiet confidence.

Andre, the middle brother, the most divergent in appearance, possesses a more reserved stature, standing a few inches shorter than his siblings. His eyes, while sharing the same shade of gold, hold a softer gaze, shimmering with a gentleness that contrasts the intensity of his older brothers. His hair, a lighter shade of brown with a silver sheen, falls in tousled locks. He exudes a quieter confidence.

The youngest brother, Hugo bore a striking resemblance to the eldest. Standing at a slightly shorter yet still imposing height, he shared the same golden eyes that held a similar depth of mystery. However, his hair differs—a darker shade of silver almost black in soldier style, framing his face with a touch of untamed allure. His countenance echoes strength but hints at a more impulsive nature, a contrast to the measured presence of his elder brother.

His success, wealth, and good looks had made him the target of many a romantic pursuit, but he was a man of few words. This, combined with his mysterious air, only added to his allure and made him all the more desirable to the women who longed to capture his heart. His golden eyes glimmered like diamonds in the sunlight. When he looked at someone, they felt as if they were the only person in the room.

Women were drawn to his good looks, but it was his strength of character and unshakable confidence that kept them coming back for more. Despite his many admirers, however, Frederick remained elusive and unattainable, always maintaining a certain distance from those who sought to get close to him.

He was a man who guarded his secrets carefully, and for good reason. He knew that if the truth about him and his family were to be revealed, it would mean the end of everything. So he kept his distance, a loner, preferring to keep to himself and avoid the spotlight…if it was even possible.

As Frederick drove down the long, private driveway, shaded by overgrown oak trees, towards the Cadman estate, he saw an imposing structure. The estate was shrouded in mystery and located deep in the forest, unknown to the outside world. He glanced at the moon through the car window, which was nearing its highest point. He was pretty sure that his brothers had already arrived; they were notoriously private individuals, rarely seen together in public. But tonight was different. Despite their busy lives and separate schedules, they had all come to this place.

The estate was once a symbol of their family's power and fame, but now it was just a vacation home. Despite its infrequent use, the staff took good care of it, ensuring it was always ready for the owners, and it held secrets that the three brothers shared.

The Cadman family has a rich history stretching back for generations. Originating from Europe, they moved to America many years ago, laying the foundation for the Cadman dynasty as it is known today. Their impact can still be felt in various places, and they have become a prominent force in the business world, with their most successful venture being real estate. A testament to this success is the Cadman Estate, a magnificent property that sits on sprawling acres of land surrounded by lakes, mountains, and connected to a protected forest.

As per the last owner's will, the brothers' father, the Cadman Estate was now owned by his three sons. He wanted the estate to be split equally among his sons. Although no one lives here permanently, it serves as a gathering place for family members, like tonight.

Two of the current owners were hanging out in the second-floor library, each enjoying a glass of Scotch whisky while they waited for their eldest brother.

"Owoooo."

"Those horny pups just can't keep quiet." Hugo Cadman looked out the window.

"Do you have the right to complain? Weren't you the same a few decades ago?" Andre Cadman looked at his younger brother with a grim smile.

"…" Hugo Cadman, the third and youngest of the brothers, made a straight face to cover his embarrassing past; he couldn't make any excuses, as it was true!

He used to be one of those horny pups

"I'm so glad you didn't know how to transform yet back then. If you were running around doing that in this form, we would all be in trouble," Andre said mocking his brother even more.

"Yeah right, say whatever. Go back to the lab."

"…" Andre just shook his head, keeping his 'don't care smile'.

Whenever Hugo felt like losing, he often teased his brother about his career as a forensic pathologist, which he considered to be the most boring job in the world. On the other hand, Andre had always been a bit of a nerd and disliked socializing. As a result, he chose to become a doctor for the quietest patients of all - the deceased. It was a job that suited him well.

Both Andre and he left the family business to Frederick; no one loves making money more than that guy. Despite this, it was known that the eldest's true passion was not money itself, but the satisfaction that came with the act of winning in business transactions.

As for him, he had a passion for excitement, danger, and he loved solving complex puzzles, which is why his job as an FBI agent had always brought him enjoyment. The thrill of investigating major crimes and the sense of purpose that came with the job made it a highly rewarding experience. Each day presented new opportunities and challenges, preventing him from getting bored of this perfect life.

"It seems like you both are having a good time bringing back those memories." Here he comes - the firstborn of the Cadman family. Frederick Cadman walked into the room, fashionably late as always.

"It's about time you showed up," Hugo said as he walked to his eldest brother to give him a hug which somehow turned into a chest bump to show off their alpha power, while Andre raised his whisky glass.

There were not many occasions when all three brothers reunited. Ever since their parents decided to retire from this world and return to their origin in the forest after the three of them had grown up, each of them had followed his own journey. Andre and Hugo crossed paths from time to time because of their jobs, but the oldest son Frederick, well-known as a real estate tycoon in the West Coast area from Washington State down to California, rarely came around.

Even so, nothing could break the bonds of the brothers; they communicated often. But for all of them to be in the same room at the Cadman estate like today, it must be as important as the first full moon at the very beginning of the mating season. The three of them looked at each other before heading to the English garden at the back of the property, which connected to the reserved forest.

Why was the full moon so special? For normal people, everyone might say it's beautiful and romantic, but for the brothers, the full moon has always held a special power over them. As it rises in the sky, it brings forth an inexplicable urge and power, to release the primal instincts that lie dormant within. The feeling is almost irresistible, a call to embrace their true nature. The anticipation builds with each passing moment.

Hugo was the first to arrive, unbuttoning his shirt and revealing his well-defined muscles. The power and strength he exuded were palpable, even through the thin fabric of his shirt. Andre and Frederick soon followed, dressed only in their pants, each with a god-like physique. Despite Andre's paler complexion from spending time in the lab, all three brothers were blessed with stunning, golden eyes full of intrigue and character. Their neatly groomed hair added a touch of wildness, framing their faces with perfection. The combination of their sharp jawlines and striking eyes conveyed strength, intelligence, and charisma, making them the epitome of manliness.

When the moon was at its highest, its lunar glow illuminated their skin, and that was when the brothers started taking off their last piece of garment and the transformation began. Fur sprouted from their skin and fangs elongated from their jaws. They changed their gait from two legs to four, revealing wonderful creatures - wolves. However, standing over two meters tall, they were nothing like ordinary wolves; they were more like mythical creatures straight out of a folktale. Who would have guessed that those stories weren't just myths, but a history of the creature that once dominated a continent?

Lycans, or living creatures that can transform into wolves, are what they call themselves. In the storybooks, humans often mistakenly believe that they are werewolves; however, they differ in many ways. lycans have the ability to transform into wolves at any time and any place, whereas werewolves can only transform into wolves during the full moon. Additionally, lycans possess supernatural abilities, making them more powerful.

Lycans are highly driven by their sexual desires, particularly during mating season when the moon shines brightly. At this time, their primal instincts take over, and they must fulfill their urge. Usually, during a normal full moon, they can find a human partner to satisfy their needs without any problems. However, with the moon shining so bright this time, their power is uncontrollable, and it becomes too dangerous for them to be with human women.

However, the lone wolf nerd of the family, Andre, found it an inconvenience and burden to take time off work to come here in these months.

The brothers are a prime example of modern-day lycans. With lycans having a long history of once dominating the land, they had their own ruling system with ranks and hierarchies. Thus, many legends and traditions were developed.

Given the considerable size of the lycan community at the time, it was necessary to divide it into smaller packs, leading to the founding of two prominent packs. One settled in the northern mountains and adopted the family name 'Cadman', while the other moved south to establish itself in the Six Rivers Forest. Each pack began to develop its own belief system and unique set of rules. Despite these differences, the backbone of lycan society remained an alpha-led hierarchy, aimed at securing and expanding the pack's territory. Within this structure, the strongest and most skilled members held positions of power, while others assumed more subordinate roles.

However, as time passed and humans expanded their territories into the forests, the once-dominant creatures became less prevalent, and their legends faded. To adapt, these beings began adopting human lifestyles and behaviors. This included learning to live in cities, wearing modern clothing, and engaging in activities such as going to work or school. Additionally, they may even start to form relationships with humans since they don't look any different from normal humans. Many have become powerful in business, academia, literature, acting, and even as world leaders.

Robert, the head butler at the Cadman estate, arrived after the transformation was completed. It was his responsibility to ensure everything was in order during these critical moments for any member of the Cadman family. As he always did on full moon nights, Robert instructed a servant to prepare new set of clothing, and then patiently waited for his masters to return, likely not until the break of dawn. His role as head butler demanded that he take care of all necessary preparations and tidy up after the transformations, leaving nothing to chance.
