Donna took Han Shuo to the largest divine weapons shop in the area. The shop was divided into five levels. The lowest level sold tools and equipment for demigods and basegods. The second level was filled with divine weapons for Lowgods. The third level had divine weapons for Midgods. The fourth tier was for customers who wished to order custom-made divine weapons. Finally, the fifth level was reserved for the shopkeepers to rest.
Divine weapons for high gods were only sold in the few largest shops in Elysium. There were no shops of this size that sold divine weapons of such a high class on this street.
Han Shuo followed Donna into the shop and went straight to the third level. After looking at some magnificent armour, staffs, and all kinds of divine weapons, Han Shuo had to admit that compared to all the great masters of the Profound Continent, the Elysians were much, much more skilled in forging tools and weapons.
Not only did the tools have remarkable functions, but they were also extraordinarily designed. The armour would be etched with mysterious patterns and diagrams for boundaries and seals. The divine weapons were usually embedded with special gems that were both functional and beautiful.
Even if one ignored their abilities and powers and only compared their aesthetics, the weapons and devices on display here were several classes superior to those made by the elves of the Profound Continent.
All the shopkeepers in the shop recognised Donna. They bowed and greeted her in an unctuous manner as soon as Donna entered their sight.
"Stop looking. We are going straight to the fourth level. You can look at these later when we are done on the fourth level," Donna hurried when she saw how Han Shuo was invested in every item he saw, making extensive mental notes of everything on display.
"I really must say that these items are very fine and delicate. They are even more beautiful than those made by the most skilled elves on my continent!" Han Shuo exclaimed in admiration after taking his eyes off a magnificent sapphire crown.
"The race of elves you mentioned is also present on Elysium. However, when it comes to art and smelting, they are nowhere near the proficiency of the Divine Smelters. The elves would normally work as assistants to the divine smelters. The elves on your continent probably inherited some of the smelting knowledge from the ancient elves of Elysium. Therefore, it is to be expected that what they produce cannot be compared to that of the Divine Smelters," Donna explained with a smile.
The Divine Smelters were one of the myriad races that inhabited Elysium. The people of this race were fixated on the arts and obsessed with achieving aesthetic perfection. Traditionally, whenever a weapon or tool was smelted on Elysium, it was sent to this race for decoration and refinement, transforming the tool from a crude piece of metal into a work of art so delicate that anyone would fall in love with it at first sight.
As they talked, they came to the fourth level. There they saw an old man sitting with his eyes closed, resting. He was wearing a robe covered with a pattern of squares, rather eccentric in style. When he opened his eyes and saw Donna coming towards him, his eyes lit up and he said smiling, "Miss Donna! Of the House of Lavers! We are honoured by your presence. Are you here to order some special divine weapons to be custom made?"
Donna shook her head and said with her lovely smile, "Grandpa Domo, you've got it wrong this time. I've come here today not to buy, but to sell you some extra divine weapons.
The old man called Domo cultivated in the element of death and had only Basegod strength. He had spent most of his time and effort smelting divine weapons. He was a professional who specialised in this field. "Haha, you must be joking, Donna. Your Lavers family is wealthy and prosperous. There's no way you need to sell the surplus divine weapons to get some change," Domo seemed very happy when he heard Donna calling him 'Grandpa' and he stopped calling Donna 'Miss'.
"Of course it's not me, it's my friend. He has recently come to this material plane and has some divine weapons that he will probably never use. Instead of letting them sit and mould, he might as well exchange them for crystal coins that he could use!" Donna explained, smiling sweetly. She sat down in an empty chair that seemed to be made of wood in front of Domo and then gestured at Han Shuo.
"Is this our friend who has something to sell?" Domo looked at Han Shuo with some surprise before nodding and saying reassuringly, "Don't worry - for Donna's sake, I won't rip you off. You can feel free to bring all the goods you want to sell. I will value them and give you a fair price. We will make a deal if you agree to the price."
"Alright!" Han Shuo pulled out his space ring and emptied it of every single item, including swords, armour and various devices. He laid them all out in front of Domo.
Domo looked at the twenty or so items on his table with calm eyes. He waited until Han Shuo had taken each item out before fiddling with them one by one. Domo's eyes twinkled slightly as he saw the three divine weapons that Eriksson and Emperor had previously used.
""These belonged to Emperor and Eriksson, didn't they?" Donna's discovered the anomaly when she noticed that Domo was inspecting the three objects carefully. She looked at Han Shuo in astonishment as she asked, "How did they end up in your possession?"
"The two died in that strange place. I lost my way and stumbled upon their bodies, so I took their belongings," Han Shuo seemed very relaxed as he made up an excuse without thinking.
"You lucky bastard!" Donna laughed. When Han Shuo looked back at her, she rolled her eyes and remarked, "Why is it that you always get into the most fortunate situations?"
But when Donna remembered the situation before, the more she thought about it, the more confused she became. She was sure that Han Shuo had said that he had been trapped and had only managed to escape with great difficulty. How did he manage to collect the divine weapons of Emperor and Eriksson?
"Oh, I have my ways. Hahaha..." Han Shuo shrugged his shoulders and said nonchalantly.
"Hm, those few pieces of divine weapons from the midgod are quite valuable, but the rest, not so much," Domo finally finished evaluating the divine weapons after some time. He raised his head to look at Han Shuo and Donna and offered, "All this for three hundred black crystal coins. Fair enough?"
Although the words had been spoken to Han Shuo, Domo had only given him a quick glance before turning to Donna and remaining fixed on her. Obviously, for Domo, Donna of the Lavers Family was the character he really cared about. As for Han Shuo, well, he was just an insignificant nobody.
"Bryan, what do you think?" Donna looked at Han Shuo with wide eyes.
"Sure." In Donna's presence, Han Shuo believed that Domo would not think of offering him a dishonest price. Furthermore, based on the limited knowledge that Han Shuo currently had, he knew that three hundred black crystal coins was a good price. Therefore, he accepted the offer without hesitation.
But Domo was even more straightforward than Han Shuo. Without even looking at the divine weapons on his table, he called for an assistant to take out three hundred black crystal coins and handed them to Han Shuo. The transaction was complete.
On Elysium, one purple crystal coin was worth one hundred blue crystal coins and one black crystal coin was worth one hundred purple crystal coins. When Han Shuo first came to Elysium, he had spent only fifty blue crystal coins to complete his divine tablet. Renting a training ground would only cost a few purple crystal coins, and entering the City of Shadows would only cost one purple crystal coin.
Considering that, three hundred black crystal coins wasn't actually a small fortune. As long as Han Shuo didn't spend extravagantly and made sure to buy high-level divine weapons and scrolls, those three hundred black crystal coins could last him a long time.
"Not bad, you are a little tycoon now! One of my Laver family's fortresses outside the City of Shadows collects about five hundred Black Crystal Coins a month. Of those who are completely new to Elysium, only a few Midgod and Highgod experts could collect three hundred Black Crystal Coins so soon after arriving on this material plane. As a Lowgod, you should be proud of this achievement! Donna complimented him sincerely. She had previously considered using crystal coins to lure Han Shuo into the Laver family, but who knew that Han Shuo would be so resourceful that he would make a small fortune soon after arriving on Elysium. This would make it much more difficult to lure him with crystal coins.
"Compared to a big tycoon like you, this small amount of coins I have is more than a trifle," Han Shuo replied modestly.
"Grandpa Domo, we will stop bothering you. We will go and do some shopping downstairs. Perhaps these crystal coins will come back to you later!" Donna got up from her seat.
"Haha, go ahead. I won't go with you, as I still have to sort out these goods. All right, I will give you both a twenty percent discount on all purchases. Happy shopping!"
Han Shuo and Donna travelled down three levels. Then, Han Shuo picked out dozens of Origin Crystals that he had wanted to buy as soon as he entered the shop and saw them. They were exactly the same type of crystals that Han Shuo had previously received from the Six-Horned Tribe King of the Soul Race in Tarrag Canyon. These were wonderful treasures that would allow Demigods to form an elemental soul and become Basegods. Origin Crystals, which were incredibly rare treasures on the Profound Continent, were sold in this shop for only five purple crystal coins. The price was so low that Han Shuo couldn't believe it.
"Origin Crystals can be found in many energy mines on Elysium, they're not particularly valuable. Besides, it's only useful for a demigod trying to form an elemental soul. You have long since overcome that obstacle. Why do you buy so many of them?" Donna asked Han Shuo confusedly.
"Of course I don't need them. But I still have many friends on the Profound Continent who could use them. For them, these Origin Essences are invaluable treasures that will allow them to make giant leaps! Sigh, because Elysium is rich in elemental energy, it has all kinds of wonderful and miraculous goods that the Profound Continent doesn't have. No wonder you call the Profound Continent a low-level material plane!" Han Shuo lamented.
"Do you have any sweethearts on your continent? Look at your wistful look now, Hehe!" Donna laughed.
Donna's words had suddenly reminded Han Shuo of Emily, Fanny and the others. His heart really longed for them and he wondered how they were doing right now. He forgot to answer Donna.
As soon as she saw Han Shuo's reaction, Donna knew that she had guessed correctly. But unexpectedly, for no apparent reason, seeing Han Shuo's sad and wistful expression caused an uncomfortable feeling to rise in Donna's heart. Donna was shocked to discover this subconscious feeling.
What's wrong with me? I shouldn't be having these feelings. I should have forgotten what happened during my hallucination long ago. Why did it come back to me so suddenly?
