Chapter 636 - CHAPTER 638: After Killing You, I Will Be The New Planar Guardian!

"Wait here, don't go anywhere!" Han Shuo shouted at the ladies with a serious expression on his face.

"Bryan, what is going on?" Emily demanded. She could tell that Han Shuo wasn't joking. The unprecedented nervousness on Han Shuo's face told her that something big was about to happen.

"There's no time to explain. Just stay inside and don't go anywhere!" Han Shuo repeated before charging in the direction of the dragon aura his senses had picked up.

As this avatar flew out, the death avatar and the main body also shot out of the cemetery and turned into two trails of light shadows that streaked across the sky.

"What's happening? What's happening?" Phoebe asked excitedly.

"He must be in big trouble. Given his strength now, this enemy he has to deal with so severely is certainly not one we can touch. We should just stay inside, as he said, lest we be a burden to him!" Emily, who had seen and experienced all kinds of situations, said calmly to the other two ladies.

"Emily, his enemy came to his door shortly after we arrived. Is it because of... us?" Fanny wore a guilty look as she said hesitantly.

"Possibly. Forget it. Now is not the time to blame ourselves. But if there's anyone to blame, it's me. I shouldn't have brought you all here to look for him!" Emily said with a sigh. Her delicate face was filled with regret. She contradicted herself by suggesting it was her fault after saying it wasn't the time for blame.

"It's not your fault. It's all because of me that this is happening!" Phoebe claimed responsibility.

"All right, all right. Let's stop talking about it. We just need to stay inside and wait. I know Bryan will come out of this safely. He will be fine!" Emily forced a smile on her face and pulled the two ladies towards the centre of the cemetery.

As soon as Han Shuo stepped outside the barrier, he saw the giant Primordius Dragon charging across with terrifying momentum, shredding the towering trees in its path as if they were twigs.

The ancient Primordius Dragon unleashed its Domain of Earth Divinity. An enormous amount of the Earth element gathered around his massive dragon body, forming a thick layer of Earth armour, making his already massive body appear even more colossal.

Han Shuo expanded his consciousness and examined the path of the Primordial Dragon in great detail. He saw that the Primordial Dragon was about to crash into the barrier surrounding the Cemetery of Death. With a thought, his two avatars suddenly appeared to his left and right. The Avatar of Destruction transformed back into the Demonslayer's Edge. Leaving a trail of bloody radiance in its wake, the Demonslayer's Edge shot straight at the Primordius Dragon as it charged across.

Meanwhile, the Avatar of Death used the divine energy in his body to gather the elemental energy of death. He formed an enormous bone shield in front of the barrier of the cemetery of death. The white bone shield was like a large field of clouds, emitting a dazzling white light as it reflected the sunlight.

The Demonslayer's Edge shot at the Primordius Dragon with lightning speed. It was aimed at the lantern-sized eyes of the Primordius Dragon.

However, before the Demonslayer's Edge could get close to the dragon's eyes, the Primordius Dragon spat out its dragon breath. The dragon breath was concentrated with the elemental energy of earth found in its domain of divinity, and coalesced into a ten-metre long earth dragon that pounded down on the Demonslayer Edge. This neutralised the Demonslayer Edge's attack aimed at its dragon eye.

Immediately afterwards, the monstrous body of the Primordius Dragon smashed violently into the massive white bone shield that Han Shuo's Avatar of Death had erected. A deafening explosion erupted, reverberating through the heavens and earth.

The oversized white bone shield, formed using the element of death and divine energy, could not withstand the blow and suddenly shattered, sending bone fragments flying everywhere. Han Shuo let out a muffled groan. His Death Avatar looked pale.

This blow managed to completely shatter the oversized white bone shield of Han Shuo's death avatar. Its body was only stopped for a moment before it continued to smash into the barrier surrounding the cemetery of death.

At that moment, Han Shuo's nearly two metre tall main body suddenly grew into a giant over thirty metres tall. Before the Primordial Dragon could reach the barrier, Han Shuo's hands grabbed the Primordius Dragon's huge body and lifted it into the air. The demonic yuan spurred rapidly, fuelling Han Shuo's mighty physical body with energy. He hurled the great dragon away with all his might.

A loud rumble shook the earth as his body hit the ground two hundred metres away. Rocks shattered, the earth shook, and sand was sent flying through the clouds. A number of ancient trees of all sizes were either snapped or uprooted.

Han Shuo first used his Avatar of Destruction to force the Primordius Dragon to spew its dragon breath as it charged towards him, then used the White Bone Shield with his Avatar of Death to block its swift and violent strike. Taking advantage of the moment when the Primordius Dragon was stopped, he let the energy in his main body detonate, transforming Han Shuo's main body into a giant before throwing the dragon far into the distance. This series of actions took place within fractions of a second. All three of Han Shuo's bodies struck with perfect synchronisation and precision. Thanks to their excellent planning, they were able to block the Primordius Dragon's devastating strike and prevent it from destroying the boundary around the Cemetery of Death.

After only a few seconds of battle, much of Han Shuo's energy had been drained; it was as if he had been fighting a long war.

The Primordius Dragon was indeed worthy of being the planar guardian of the Profound Continent for several thousand years. Han Shuo had to use all the power of his three bodies to withstand a single fierce blow from him. He was indeed the last match for Han Shuo on the continent!

After throwing the big dragon away, Han Shuo's gigantic main body gasped heavily before his breathing returned to normal. He took a huge leap and landed in the region where he had thrown the Primordius Dragon.

By now, the Primordius Dragon had regained its footing. Standing upright, it lifted its head and looked around, its eyes red with rage.

After this blow, Han Shuo understood that the Primordial Dragon was covered in a layer of earth armour that gave it immense defensive power. Also, at this point, Han Shuo still couldn't be completely sure that the Primordial Dragon had come alone. He had to be careful with his attacks.

"It's you! Are you the one who bathed my Dragon Valley in blood?" the Primordius Dragon roared angrily as he saw Han Shuo approaching cautiously. He seemed extremely angry.

"That's right. All the greater dragons in Dragon Valley died at my hands!" Han Shuo nodded and nonchalantly admitted.

"You wretched sinner! The Church of Light is right - you are the cause of the chaos on the Profound Continent! I shouldn't have just imprisoned you in the Abyss Realm back then. I should have killed you without mercy!" The Primordius Dragon was even more enraged to hear Han Shuo so calmly admit his crimes. He raised his head and roared in anger.

"You have brought this upon yourself. I was so kind to help you resist the invasion of the abyssal creatures. But in the end, not only were you so ungrateful for my help, you cut me off from the interplanar portal while I was in the space-time discontinuum and trapped me in the Abyss realm for five long years. I was almost stuck in the Abyss realm forever because of you. You're the only reason I painted your precious Dragon Valley bright red. Those descendants of yours all died because of you!" Han Shuo reminded.

"No need to argue. You killed my people, so you must pay with your life!" the Primordius Dragon seemed unwilling to argue further. He kept twisting his neck and it looked like he was about to start moving again.

"Did you come alone?" Han Shuo asked before the Primordius Dragon attacked.

While talking to the Primordial Dragon, Han Shuo also took the liberty of scanning the area with his consciousness and did not detect any other expert life forms. However, Han Shuo did not dare to rely entirely on his findings because if the hidden assailant was in a realm beyond his own, his soul might be able to hide from consciousness detection. Therefore, Han Shuo could not be completely sure that there was no more powerful expert around.

After trading blows with him, Han Shuo could be certain that the Primordius Dragon had not yet reached the late-stage of the Lowgod realm. Although Han Shuo wasn't absolutely certain that he could defeat the Primordius Dragon, he believed that if there were three souls fighting against one, there wouldn't be much difference in their strengths. However, if there was more than one attacker, Han Shuo would undoubtedly have no way of prevailing. In that case, all he could do was return to the cemetery and run as far as he could with his three ladies.

"What if I'm alone? I'm more than enough to kill you!" the Primordius Dragon was slightly stunned in his anger when he heard Han Shuo's question. But soon after, as if feeling insulted, he roared, "Petty human, don't you think that my race of greater dragons would be just as despicable as yours!"

"Oh. It seems that the experts from the other material planes have not yet descended," Han Shuo muttered to himself, ignoring the roar of the Primordius Dragon.

"Back then, I showed you mercy and spared your life. I will not repeat the same mistake now! After killing you, I will destroy the cemetery of death. Then those evil gods will have trouble coming here. The Profound Continent will regain its tranquility. You are the greatest element of instability on this continent. You must die!" It seemed that the Primordius Dragon knew about Han Shuo's role in the Church of Calamity. The two masters of the only two interplanar transportation matrices belonged to different factions and were destined to be arch enemies.

"The last time you hurt me, you didn't kill me. That will be the biggest mistake of your life, because it's too late to kill me now!" Han Shuo sneered. From the moment Han Shuo learned that the Primordius Dragon was alone, his heart was at ease. Han Shuo had tasted the Primordius Dragon's strength and knew that it was indeed very powerful. But Han Shuo also had confidence in himself and did not consider himself to be weaker than the Primordius Dragon.

Han Shuo's words caused the Primordius Dragon to burst out laughing. The Primordius Dragon's gigantic figure rose into the sky as it cackled, blocking out the sun's rays. Its shadow obscured Han Shuo's below.

Suddenly, the ground beneath Han Shuo's feet began to tremble, and the magnitude of the tremors quickly increased. The flat ground undulated up and down like ocean waves in a storm. A terrifying energy rumbled through the earth towards Han Shuo. It was as if the thick surface of the earth wanted to bury Han Shuo under its mass.

Han Shuo knew that once he was buried under the earth, the Primordial Dragon would surely have ways to bombard him with the earth's energy. So as soon as he felt the earth tremble, he soared into the air. He was high in the sky before the ocean wave-like ground could cover and crush him.

"After I kill you, I will be the new Planar Guardian of the Profound Continent!" Han Shuo said after soaring into the sky, as he glared at the Primordius Dragon. His body hovering in front of the dragon gradually became more and more blurred, until he completely disappeared, with not even a trace of his aura detectable.

Strangely enough, the Primordius Dragon suddenly stopped roaring and became bizarrely silent. It could sense that Han Shuo was nearby, for there was still an intense threat that had been focused on it all along.
