Bechymos, who had waited agonisingly for this moment for who knew how many years, had blinding lights shining from his pair of green eyes. His mouth opened wide as his body trembled subconsciously. For a moment, he was so emotional that he couldn't say a word, only gasping heavily as he stared ahead.
The memories left behind by the original owner of the Skeletal Staff contained the instructions for starting and operating an interplanar transport matrix. The interplanar transport matrix he had found was basically the same model as the one in Han Shuo's cemetery, with no differences whatsoever. Moreover, the divine midgod soul that Han Shuo had assimilated was the former owner of this abyssal interplanar transportation matrix.
With all this, Han Shuo had all the necessary credentials. With a good understanding of an interplanar transportation matrix, Han Shuo would naturally be able to activate one with ease.
It took a long, long time for Bechymos to recover from this tremendous shock. As he looked at the glittering interplanar transport matrix in front of him, he murmured, "It's activated... It's really activated..."
Han Shuo's heart was also filled with ecstasy. Han Shuo clearly understood that the changes to this dilapidated interplanar transport matrix before him meant that he actually had a chance to go home. The Profound Continent had everything he knew and was familiar with. It was home to those he loved and those he hated to the bone.
Now, gaining access to this Abyssal Interplanar Transport Matrix was tantamount to establishing a path between the Profound Continent and the Abyss Realm. Not only could Han Shuo return to the Profound Continent, but later on, he could even return to the Abyss Realm through the Cemetery of Death in the Dark Forest. What a wonderful thing!
Bechymos, who couldn't be more emotional, looked at the interplanetary transport matrix glowing with light and said with unbridled joy, "I've got enough energy ore. Once the energy ores are in place and things are tidied up, the interplanetary transportation matrix will be operational. We should do this quickly."
Han Shuo nodded and replied with a grin, "It looks like we will both have our wishes granted!"
"Thank you very much. I will remember this favour of yours," Bechymos said in a really good mood. There was a hint of elegance in his voice again.
"You're welcome!" Although Han Shuo found the softness in Bechymos' voice strange, and had no idea if this person was actually a male or female, having spent so much time in the Abyss Realm, Han Shuo had encountered much stranger characters. He couldn't be sure of Bechymos' true sex, or perhaps genders.
"Not good! My Lord, look up!" Bord suddenly shouted at the top of his voice.
Both Han Shuo and Bechymos were startled. When they looked up, they saw that a bright light had suddenly appeared in the foggy sky above their heads. They immediately knew that the situation was about to go south. Han Shuo asked hastily, "Is the Stardust Current returning?"
Bechymos was frantic. He anxiously replied, "Yes, it will return very quickly in a very short time. But I've waited too long and I can't wait any longer. What should I do?"
"How long will it take to return?" Han Shuo asked immediately with a calm mind.
"Very soon, faster than you can imagine, and certainly before you can replenish all the energy ores!" Bechymos' heart was in utter chaos and he spoke in an extremely worried manner.
"Then what are you waiting for, leave this place immediately!" Han Shuo shouted. He ordered Bord, Zinia and the rest of his demons, "Forget everything else, evacuate immediately!"
"I, I cannot accept this!" Bechymos said in an angry, emotional manner.
As Han Shuo's avatars of death and destruction retreated towards Bechymos, Han Shuo's main body entered the cemetery of death. The avatars cultivating in the energy of death and destruction each grabbed one of Bechymos' arms and dragged him flying out, saying, "We must leave this place immediately. Anyway, you have waited so long. Why can't you wait a little longer?"
Bechymos' green armour-covered arms felt soft and tender to the two Han Shuos. It was as if the green armour wasn't there at all. This gave Han Shuo a strange feeling.
Bechymos' mind was in chaos. He shook off Han Shuo's hands and asked impatiently, "Is there any way to get the Matrix operational before the Stardust Current returns?"
"You said it yourself, it's impossible. Let's go, we can't stay here any longer," Han Shuo replied quickly. When most of the demons had begun to evacuate, Han Shuo shouted to Bord and Zinia, "What are you standing around for? Do you want to die here? Leave quickly by the way we came!"
"Your humble servants dare not leave before Your Lordship!" Bord and Zinia replied simultaneously.
"There are no tiresome rules for my followers to follow. The most important thing is self-preservation!" Han Shuo scolded before shouting, "Go!"
After hearing Han Shuo's words and seeing the determination in Han Shuo's eyes, the couple no longer insisted on staying. They bowed to Han Shuo before flying off behind the other demons.
"Come with me, we are leaving the Void for now. But we will be able to return soon. I promise you that!" the two avatars of Han Shuo dragged Bechymos outside again.
Bechymos had finally come to his senses. He understood that staying in the Void would mean certain death. For this very reason, he regarded Han Shuo's guarantee as nothing more than words of comfort and did not take it seriously.
However, as Han Shuo's two avatars dragged him outside, he saw that the other Han Shuo remained in the interplanar transportation matrix with a calm face. Bechymos was rather stunned. He pointed at Han Shuo's main body, which was getting further and further away from them, and said in an alarmed voice, "That, that you, why hasn't he left yet?"
"Don't worry about him, even though this version of me is currently in a weakened state, even though this stardust current can kill so many gods, it has no effect on this me!"
"Impossible!" Bechymos shouted. He glared at Han Shuo and shouted, "Not a single god has ever escaped the corrosion of the Stardust Current, not one! If this body of yours remains, he will surely die!"
"I know what I'm doing, don't worry!" Han Shuo did not give a long explanation. He stopped dragging Bechymos by the arms as he began to fly outwards as well.
Gradually, the stardust Current appeared from a distance. Han Shuo's two avatars, Bechymos, and Han Shuo's newfound disciples all hastily left through the original path they had come from.
The only living thing that remained in the Void was Han Shuo's main body in the Cemetery of Death at the centre of the foggy valley. This Han Shuo, who had cultivated in the demonic arts, had an infinitely wonderful consciousness that was completely invulnerable to the effects of the Stardust Current.
After everyone else had disappeared, Han Shuo calmly and quietly pulled out a large number of magic crystal ores from his space ring. The energy ores Bechymos had mentioned were indeed magic crystal ores. They could provide the energy that the interplanetary transportation matrix needed to operate. The magic crystal ores he took out were of the highest quality and contained a considerable amount of energy.
All around the transportation matrix, there were large and small notches that were meant to be filled with magic crystal ores. Han Shuo's consciousness was unafraid of the Stardust Current corrosion. Unhurriedly and very carefully, Han Shuo placed the ores into these notches. After that, he slowly adjusted the interplanar transportation matrix with the memories in his consciousness.
Just as Bechymos had said, the speed at which the stardust current returned was extremely fast. Not long after Bechymos and the others had left, the fast and violent stardust filled this valley of the void.
Naturally, this soul-destroying energy began to attack Han Shuo's consciousness. However, Han Shuo's wonderful consciousness was constantly regenerating what had been destroyed. He wasn't harmed in the slightest!
It was after a while of Han Shuo's careful and concentrated efforts that a piece of the magical console on the interplanar transportation matrix suddenly began to flash with glorious light. Han Shuo was very pleased as he knew that the magical console was specifically used to enter the coordinates of the target material plane. When it lit up, it meant that there was enough energy in those notches to conduct interplanar transmissions.
In other words, this interplanar transportation matrix was now truly, fully operational!
Each interplanar transportation matrix had its own coordinates. Han Shuo had long ago learned from the common knowledge that teleporting to another material plane required the coordinates of the destination.
Back on the Profound Continent, when Han Shuo had learned from the Church of Calamity that the giant transportation matrix could perform interplanar teleportation, he had put some effort into studying that transportation matrix and thus knew the coordinates of the Cemetery of Death on the Profound Continent. When he saw with his own eyes that the magical console of this interplanar transportation matrix was glowing, Han Shuo's heart felt extremely exalted. He was ready to use his mental power to enter the coordinates of his Cemetery of Death back on the Profound Continent.
When Han Shuo thought about the fact that he would soon be able to return to the Profound Continent through the interplanar transportation matrix, he was overwhelmed with emotion. Even his two hands, holding a few pieces of Magic Crystal Ore, trembled.
At that moment, however, the entire valley underwent a transformation.
For some unknown reason, the energies of the countless ancient seals and magical matrices scattered throughout the valley, which was once the Battlefield of the Gods, began to shoot out in disorder. Rays of light were formed and fiercely shot towards the only living being in the valley - Han Shuo!
