The demons previously under Leviathan and Manticole had interacted with Han Shuo along the way, so they had a pretty good impression of him. After witnessing what had happened to that narrow-minded demon, they quickly grasped the current situation.
"We're ready, too!" the demons declared without making Han Shuo wait too long.
Han Shuo remained silent as he busied himself with preparing the altar, not even batting an eyelid at the demons who had previously been under Golander and Cecrops. After obtaining the Divine Soul of this Midgod, using such an altar was no challenge for him.
This so-called altar was actually just a kind of unique magical matrix. By leaving a bit of his Divine Energy and Divine Brand, the altar could be energised to release the Baptismal Radiance. Once a believer opened their mind and accepted the radiance as it touched their soul, a contract would be formed and their power of faith would be offered to the god.
Han Shuo leisurely set up the altar. All of the demons under Cecrops and Golander had hesitant glances, even though the situation was very clear to them. No matter how the four demon kings lost their lives, Han Shuo's power could not be questioned. Given the current situation, they had only two choices - obey or die!
The Abyss Realm worshipped the strong. Only characters who were truly at the pinnacle of power, who were virtually unbeatable, could keep these demons under control - and Han Shuo was obviously such a character! After the Baptismal Radiance of the four Demon Kings was drained from their souls, their reliance on the four Demon Kings was also greatly diminished. Even though they were still sceptical about Han Shuo's claim that he had killed all four Demon Kings by himself, they could sense the Lowgod energy of destruction and death from Han Shuo's avatars. They realised one simple fact - Han Shuo was indeed stronger than any of the four Demon Kings!
Faced with the threat of death, and abiding by the Abyssal Law that the powerful should be respected, they didn't have much time to hesitate. A rather cowardly Demon took the lead and declared, "I, I'm willing!"
No one would denounce this demon for being a coward. On the contrary, some of the demons previously ruled by Cecrops and Golander, who had been on the fence, gave an obvious sigh of relief to see someone else taking the lead. One by one, they declared their positions with humble and respectful expressions.
At that moment, Han Shuo had finally finished setting up the altar. His Death God avatar raised his head and looked around before smiling and saying, "A wise man submits to circumstances. Not bad, you guys are pretty tactful. You know, it really is a thousand times better to follow me than those four bastards who are now dead. What could those selfish and narrow-minded fellows offer you? Nolan was murdered by Leviathan simply because she had been given a piece of the Divine Weapon of Light, all to prevent her from becoming a god in her own right. Serving under these four, you were nothing more than puppets and pawns!"
He paused for a moment, then stared at the demons and said word for word, "To tell you the truth, you are quite pathetic!"
At Han Shuo's words, the faces of the demons turned dark. Considering the entire Abyss, these people possessed great power and influence; they were lords of cities. To be able to cultivate to the Demon realm, these people were certainly not fools. They were more aware of the truths Han Shuo had spoken of than anyone else. This was the third time they had ventured into the Void. Some past and recent events had made them realise that the four demon kings had simply never treated them like humans.
But the Abyss realm was like that. The four Demon Kings up above had absolute authority. Since they had surrendered their beliefs, they did not complain even when they understood this fact. But now that the Baptismal Radiance was extinguished and the four Demon Kings were dead, for the first time, these demons could finally carefully consider what Han Shuo had spat out.
Seeing the pensive eyes of the demons, Han Shuo said coldly, "I'm not a good guy either. I'm just as selfish and cruel to my enemies! However, I will not be as cruel to my own people as they were. Let me make a pledge to you all - I will not be so petty as to plot against my own people. And if any of you have the ability to become a true god, I will not stop you in any way!"
"Rea, really?" asked a demon who looked at Han Shuo in disbelief, his voice shaking.
"You will all see!" Han Shuo said in a deep voice.
"We believe Mr Han Shuo. From our interactions with Mister Han Shuo these days, we know that Mister Han Shuo really does care about his own people!" said Bord and Zinia.
Saving you two was definitely not in vain, Han Shuo thought. Although the people of the Abyss Realm were fierce and accustomed to conflict, from another point of view, they were very easy to tame. Moreover, once tamed, there was usually no problem with loyalty.
"I will now begin to activate the energy inside the altar. You all get ready!" Soon after, Han Shuo's Death God Avatar energised the altar in front of him. The next moment, brilliant yet gentle rays emanated from the altar, shining down on those demons like sprinkles of water.
Those demons whose minds were to submit to Han Shuo gradually opened their souls and welcomed the baptismal radiance into their minds...
A wonderful feeling suddenly emerged from Han Shuo's heart. It was as if a dozen or so disembodied threads had somehow connected him to the demons before him. Some faintly perceptible energies flowed very slowly and gently from the demons to Han Shuo's Death God Avatar Energy. These energies were extremely weak, so weak that Han Shuo couldn't even detect them without trying to feel them. Compared to the divine energy in Han Shuo's body, these energy strands were insignificant and negligible.
However, Han Shuo understood that the dozens of strands of Faith Force energy were actually adding a tiny bit to his divine energy, allowing his Domain of Divinity to become slightly more powerful.
These were only a dozen or so demons. Previously, the population under the rule of the four Demon Kings had numbered in the millions. If every one of them offered their faith, it would make a difference, and it would certainly provide a considerable amount of energy. Han Shuo's direct disciples who bowed before him could use the Baptismal Radiance left in their minds to preach Han Shuo's good news and convert more people to his faith.
Han Shuo stored the altar in his space ring after withdrawing his divine energy and dismantling it. All the demons in front of him accepted the deal and became Han Shuo's disciples.
With the presence of this handful of demons, all the faith of the citizens living in the territories of the four demon kings wouldn't be able to escape Han Shuo's grasp. Besides, Han Shuo had another idea in mind. He had an extreme grudge against a certain race on the Profound Continent. Originally, he had not wanted those abyssal creatures to set foot on the Profound Continent. But if those abyssal creatures were all under his control, well, that would be a different story.
The Saintess of the Church of Light and the six-horned tribal king of the Soul Race back on the Profound Continent, who had previously sent him scuttling off in defeat, were now not even worthy opponents in Han Shuo's eyes. Perhaps because the Saintess of the Church of Light and the Six-Horned Tribal King of the Soul Race had independently cultivated to the level of Basegod, they were somewhat stronger than these demons under Han Shuo's control. Moreover, the Saintess even seemed to be able to use the Domain of Divinity
However, when Han Shuo, now a Lowgod, remembered the battle at the Sacred Mountain of the Church of Light, he realised that the 'Domain of Divinity' that the Saintess had used was actually created through the skilful manipulation of aura and elemental energy. Although it had some of the effects of the Domain of Divinity, it wasn't a true Domain of Divinity.
The Saintess of the Church of Light and the tribal king of the Soul Race only possessed the power of a Basegod. At present, they were truly no match for Han Shuo.
When I return, I don't care if it's the Saintess, Snow celestial, or that Primordial Dragon, I'm going to finish them all! Han Shuo's face turned dark as he thought of the hatred for those despicable characters carved into his bones and engraved in his heart.
"My Lord, what shall we do now?" asked Bord and Zinia suddenly.
Han Shuo noticed the change in the way they addressed him and understood the place he now held in their hearts. The time they had in the Void before the Stardust Stream returned was limited. It was only natural that Bord and Zinia would think of Han Shuo after becoming Han Shuo's disciples, hoping that Han Shuo could settle the matter here as soon as possible.
Han Shuo furrowed his brow and was about to say something when he suddenly felt an aura of destruction approaching. Without thinking, Han Shuo understood that the last Abyssal Demon King, Bechymos, was heading his way.
Sure enough, shortly after, Bechymos, the last great demon king of the Abyss realm, wearing a green malevolent mask, suddenly landed in front of Han Shuo's eyes.
This Bechymos was covered in a strange-looking green armour and a terrifying aura of destruction from head to toe. His face was completely hidden behind this sinister green mask.
"What is going on? You all promised me not to fight in this place so as not to trigger too many boundaries. Why didn't you listen?" Bechymos said coldly in his hoarse voice as he looked out at the crowd with his green eyes. When he had finished speaking, Bechymos seemed to be rather confused. He asked, "Where are the four demon kings?"
"Dead!" Han Shuo said calmly. After a short pause, he continued, "They are all dead! I killed them all!"
