Chapter 546 - CHAPTER 547: Triumphant

Inside the War Demons' Grand Hall, a middle-aged couple, a man and a woman, wore solemn expressions as they listened to Crosius' account of the battle.

"As your lordships can see, Venomfang Fortress is utterly doomed this time. As we speak, a group of our fighters, led by Qunoa, are on their way to Venomfang Castle. If everything goes according to plan, Venomfang Castle will be taken by our forces in no time!"

The middle-aged couple wore a reserved and serious expression as they listened. When Crosius finally finished, the man asked in a deep voice, "The one called Han Shuo, did you say he killed three Shadow Warriors, including Zajya, all by himself?"

Crosius nodded. He did not seem to have calmed down yet. He took a deep breath and confirmed, "You heard me right. He killed General Zajya, the Scarlet fiend Warrior and the Ironstone Warrior, all by himself. What's even more frightening is that the so-called magical matrix he constructed in front of our city walls wiped out nearly ten thousand experts from Venomfang Castle in an instant!"

"This is truly frightening!" the charming woman gasped, shock written on her face.

The man also wore a face of disbelief. He asked Crosius eagerly, "This guy, what's his background? When did the Abyss become so terrifying?"

"Lord Bord, Lord Zinia, to tell the truth, Han Shuo claims that he came from the destroyed interplanar portal within the territory of Venomfang Castle!" Crosius said unflinchingly.

"What?" the duo simultaneously exclaimed in surprise. They looked at each other, "He came from another plane?"

Crosius nodded in confirmation. Forcing a smile, he explained, "I believe his words to be true. During the great battle, the second brother of Yeki of Venomfang Castle, Yeti, confirmed this information in his own words!"

Bord and Zinia stared blankly for a moment. But soon their gazes turned to glitter as they stared at Crosius. Bord said, "Crosius, you have made a great achievement!"

Crosius already knew that. He smiled with delight, "From the first time he came to the War Demon Valley, I could tell there was something special about him. That's why I've been meticulously ingratiating myself with him all along. Thanks to him, the army of Venomfang Castle was completely destroyed, saving our War Demon Valley and turning the crisis around. He now requests a meeting with Lord Manticole. I believe that as long as His Lordship complies with some of his harmless demands, our side will definitely have the upper hand in the five-way war!"

"That's right. Therefore, the Lord will definitely reward you well this time," Bord said with a satisfied look on his face. He continued, "I heard that you even gave him your daughter Jasper? Very well done. The guidance the Lord has given you has not been in vain!"

Lord Bord overpraises me," Crosius tried to play down his joy. He was happy about the wise decision he had made a few days before.

"Very well. Crosius, how would you like to show us this so-called magical matrix? We are very interested in this matrix that can extinguish tens of thousands of lives in an instant!" Zinia suggested to Crosius with a smile.

When Han Shuo and Jasper returned to the battlefield together, they found that the battle was over. All along the way, they found strangely shaped, massive and low-intelligence abyssal creatures peacefully munching on the carcasses that covered every inch of the land.

Looking ahead, Han Shuo discovered that everyone in War Demon Valley was wearing the happiest of faces. They had been inspired by the bloody battle. When they saw Han Shuo appear with Jasper, they began to chant Han Shuo's name. They cheered with a reverence that came from the bottom of their hearts, and for a moment, his name echoed throughout the entire valley.

The forces that remained in War Demon Valley were not the main fire powers. They were merely a few low-level War Demon guards, responsible for guarding the safety of the valley and cleaning up the battlefield. However, the cheering coming from all directions at the same time was still an extremely impressive scene, and it gave Han Shuo a shock.

"Han Shuo, look, they are worshipping you!" Jasper said, pointing to the war demon guards scattered all over the place.

Han Shuo scanned the crowd and could immediately tell from their eyes that Jasper was indeed right. These fighters who respected the mighty would only worship true experts. Although this Great Demon King Manticole was their true spiritual leader, it was a shame that not many had seen him with their own eyes. But Han Shuo, a new outsider to War Demon Valley, was turning the entire battlefield upside down right in front of their eyes using only his own power!

Han Shuo nodded his head repeatedly as he pulled Jasper beside him and flew straight towards the outer circle of War Demon Valley. When Han Shuo saw that Jasper seemed to be enjoying this feeling very much, finding it funny, he asked, "What are you enjoying?"

"Every woman in the Abyss would be happy to have her man worshipped and adored! Hehehe, when I see them looking at you with awe, as if they saw a demon god, I feel that my choice was right. In the Abyss, beautiful women would rather be a demon's plaything than be worshipped like a goddess by a low-level Abyssal Trooper!" Jasper explained.

"Oh?" Han Shuo found Jasper's explanation refreshing and extremely interesting. Remembering the cruelty of the Abyssal Realm, he had to admit that such a practice was correct. At least they could continue to live in safety by becoming a demon's plaything. But as the goddess of an Abyssal Trooper, they could be killed at any moment for no reason at all. Only death was the most terrifying thing in the Abyss Realm. When he thought about it, he found Jasper's statement to be quite logical.

Han Shuo did not remain motionless as he pondered the meaning of Jasper's words. In the blink of an eye, they had arrived at the city wall of War Demon Valley. Han Shuo looked off into the distance at the bloody shadows fluttering in the stone forest and gazed at the three demon level experts hovering above the stone forest. The corners of his lips turned to reveal a playful smile. Then, with a single thought, the Demonslayer Edge suddenly flashed out of his body.

A bolt of black lightning struck the stone forest like a whip. Suddenly, the tens of thousands of bloody shadows wandering through the stone forest seemed to have picked up a distinctive scent as they began to gravitate towards the Demonslayer Edge floating in the centre. The Demonslayer's Edge, a weapon forged and refined with demonic arts, was designed from the start to attract and absorb millions of souls. Even though it had been transformed into an avatar of Destruction Lowgod, that characteristic remained the same.

The bloody shadows streamed into the Demonslayer's Edge by the tens of thousands. It was like a demon devouring evil beings. Every single bloody shadow in the stone forest that longed to devour all living things was sucked into the weapon. The scene of the bloody shadows entering the Demonslayer's Edge was extremely sinister, and it caused great fear in the three demons above, who were examining the stone forest with gaping holes in their small hearts.

In no time, these evil, bloody shadows were sucked into this extraordinary Murderous weapon. Suddenly, a thick, bloody mist began to emanate from within the Demonslayer's Edge. As it spread to the point where the three above couldn't see anything in the space below, the Demonslayer's Edge had transformed into Han Shuo's avatar. Under the cover of the bloody mist, it began to swoop around the stone forest at lightning speed.

This great formation that Han Shuo had put so much effort into had now successfully served its purpose. Although a certain stele that was extremely wide couldn't be easily withdrawn, those smaller formations that Han Shuo had used had actually been altered in some way beforehand. Wherever the Demonslayer Edge avatar passed, all sorts of scattered objects, especially those large and colourful banners, would vanish into thin air.

It didn't take long for the Stone Forest, which had originally been decorated with all sorts of strange and exotic objects, to become nothing more than a forest of stones. The materials used for the magical matrices, especially those useful for other demonic applications, were all taken away by the Demonslayer Edge avatar. Gradually, the bloody mist began to dilute. From what the three demons above could see, the Demonslayer's Edge had remained firmly planted in the same spot the whole time. Later, when the blood mist had completely dissipated, the Demonslayer's Edge flew out of the stone forest as if it had a mind of its own. It flew back to Han Shuo who was standing on the city wall with a smile on his face.

"What a wonderful weapon!" Zinia exclaimed. Brilliant beams shot out of her eyes, which were fixed firmly on the Demonslayer Edge.

Seeing that all kinds of strange energies in the stone forest below him had vanished shortly after Han Shuo's weapon had fallen into it, Crosius forced a smile and said quietly, "Well, it seems that this so-called magical matrix has been stripped of any magical power!"

Bord nodded and said, "Yes, that Han Shuo must have done something to it. It looks like we won't be able to learn anything from the stone forest."

"It doesn't matter. As long as the person is here, everything else is secondary!" Zinia was quite intelligent. She looked at Han Shuo standing in the distance and continued, "What we should really do now is try every means possible to catch him. As long as he is with us, we will have everything!"

"You're right!" Bord immediately agreed and motioned to Crosius, "Let's go, it's time to have a good chat with him!"

Crosius nodded and without another word the trio began to fly towards Han Shuo. Before they got close enough to see Jasper from a distance, Crosius knew from Jasper's infinitely shy appearance that his treasured daughter had transformed from a girl into a woman!

"Those bloody shadows could harm our enemies, but they could also harm our friends, so I kept them away. Lord Crosius, would you take offence at that?" Han Shuo explained clearly.

"No! Of course not!" Crosius replied immediately with a smile. Crosius had to curry favour with Han Shuo now, so how could he dare to offend Han Shuo?
