As the man continued to approach, an instinctive feeling of disgust rose from the bottom of Han Shuo's heart. The air around him filled with a repulsive stench. Upon careful sniffing, Han Shuo was shocked to discover that the stench was emanating from this sickly man.
This man was mounted on a mammoth demon-faced spider, and looked quite different from Hemanna and Sylph. He seemed to have no skeleton and gave off a faint aura. His waist was slimmer than a woman's. His green face was covered in spots. Hard on the eyes, indeed.
He wore a black iron medallion embossed with a demon. He held two bloody monster skulls in his mouth, vivid, lifelike, giving goosebumps and a bad vibe to any observer.
Thanks to Hemanna and Sylph, Han Shuo now had some understanding of the division of power in the Abyss Realm. There were all kinds of abyssal creatures with different levels of power. The low-level ones would forever be treated as cannon fodder and saddle horses, and would never be qualified to enjoy any of the privileges that the high-level creatures received.
Aside from the low-level creatures, the average high-level creatures were divided into Abyssal Troops, Destroyers, Rakshas and Demons, with each class further divided into three levels. Advanced abyssal creatures that had the right to live in a city, or were hired soldiers for a powerhouse, were level one Abyssal Troopers or higher.
Each expert advanced gradually through constant slaughter. The more enemies they killed, the higher they climbed. Hemanna and Sylph were both level one Destroyers, while Nambrough was a level three Destroyer.
Higher up the ladder, experts who could have their own territories within a city or region were known as Rakshas. They were allowed to have their own guards. For example, this man in front of Han Shuo had a Rakshas drawn on the medallion on his chest. The two bloody skulls in the Raksha's mouth indicated that he was a level two Raksha!
Above the Rakshas were the Demons. They were the real influential figures for these powerhouses. For example, Crosius of War Demon Valley and General Yeki of Venomfang Castle were level one demons. Each demon cultivated elemental energy to fill every cell in their bodies, even their brains.
Above the demons were the most powerful in the entire Abyss Realm - the Five Great Demon Kings. They were like mountains that could not be climbed. Billions of Abyssal creatures had to bow and prostrate themselves before them. They were the true masters of the Abyss Realm!
Since Hemanna and Sylph were only Level One Destroyers, they were far, far behind these Level Two Raksha, no matter what their strengths or positions. In the realm of the Abyss, where the strong preyed on the weak, the one with the biggest fists was king. If it hadn't been for the fact that Hemanna and Sylph were war demon sergeants under Crosius, the ugly man might have snatched them away long ago.
However, Crosius, the master of the War Demon Valley, held true experts in high esteem and gave the Rakshas special treatment. There were only six Rakshas in the War Demon Valley. In any great battle, these six would be the main fire powers of the War Demon Valley. In the Abyss Realm, experts were far more important than mere women. Therefore, Crosius had long since tacitly agreed with certain words of this Raksha.
"Han Shuo, he is Brakyah," Sylph reminded Han Shuo.
By then, Han Shuo had learned the names and positions of several experts in the War Demon Valley. He knew of this Brakyah's past accomplishments and that he was one of the six Rakshas in War Demon Valley. On the way back, Nambrough had told Han Shuo alone that Brakyah had been lusting after Hemanna and Sylph, and that he should be careful when he met Brakyah in War Demon Valley.
Nambrough told Han Shuo that this Brakyah had extraordinary strength, and that he had better take the initiative to give up Hemanna and Sylph if he didn't have confidence in dealing with Brakyah, lest he be killed. But Nambrough also mentioned that if he had the confidence to take on Brakyah, he might as well duel with him. As long as he didn't die in the fight, he would immediately gain a place in War Demon Valley.
The Abyss Realm is a place where only strength counts. Regardless of age and experience, as long as you had the strength, you could easily and quickly gain wealth, women, or whatever you wanted by fighting.
"You two women, come with me. As for that guy, finish him off," Brakyah said coldly after looking at the three of them for a while with a furrowed brow. As soon as he had finished, he turned and left, not even looking at Han Shuo.
Carried by a dozen metre wide demon-faced spider, Brakyah turned and left very gracefully. Just as he was leaving, a well-built expert with six arms suddenly shot out from behind him. This person was slightly stronger than Hemanna and Sylph. He was a level two Destroyer.
As a Raksha, Brakyah could raise his own subordinates and personal servants independent of the War Demon Valley. As he left, Han Shuo saw a dozen or more oddly shaped high-level abyssal creatures following behind him. They happened to be Destroyer-class experts, probably Brakyah's own bodyguards.
To achieve instant success in this world, Han Shuo had to climb over the skulls of other experts. For Han Shuo, it was a wonderful gift that Brakyah had so willingly wandered into his midst.
"Hemanna, Sylph, stay right there. You two are not going anywhere," Han Shuo groaned as he saw Hemanna and Sylph cowering in front of Brakyah and considering leaving with him.
The next moment, without waiting for the six-armed destroyer to arrive, Han Shuo took the initiative and attacked. Mystical Glacial Spellfire erupted from his two hands as he shot out and turned into a bolt of lightning, leaving behind two long trails of purple flames like the brilliant tail of a shooting star.
Before the Destroyer could strike, Han Shuo had finished him off, not even giving him a chance to strike back. In the split second that Han Shuo flew past him, two trails of enchanting fire entered his body.
Soon after, a pitiful scream erupted from the Destroyer's mouth. Han Shuo did not even turn around to look back, but went straight for the second level Raksha, who gave Han Shuo a cold shoulder.
"What the?" Brakyah couldn't help but let out a soft cry of surprise when he heard the pathetic cry of his subordinate. He turned to look behind him and saw the charred body of his underling as well as Han Shuo, who had the characteristics of an evil monster.
Brakyah tapped the spider gently on the back and it obediently stopped and turned around. Turning his cold gaze on the few personal bodyguards, Brakyah licked his tongue and instructed with a merciless smile, "Go on, don't just stand there like garbage cans!
Upon hearing these words, the six Destroyers, who had experienced countless slaughters in the Abyss Realm, immediately took action. Each of them possessed the strength of a sacred expert from the Profound Continent. Together, the six of them unleashed their respective brilliant skills of spewing acidic poisons, slashing with sharp blades, and attacking with claws and bare fangs.
"Hehehe, by the way, I can ascend by stepping on your bodies. How delightful!" Han Shuo laughed. For some reason, every time Han Shuo let go of his shackles and did as he pleased, he got a most refreshing feeling when he unleashed his demonic ability.
When the six Destroyer rank experts came at Han Shuo all at once, that wonderful feeling became even more intense. His Demonic Blades suddenly erupted, sending out the Bloody Radiance of Ten Thousand Cuts in a spiky ball of bloody light. An intense stench of blood spread out. The sinister killing intent was unleashed without restraint.
It was the gateway to the War Demon Valley. The crowds coming and going were all high-level Abyssal experts, so they were not too nervous to see people fighting. Instead, they were excited, and some even came closer to watch the fight. It seemed that death was nothing to be afraid of in this realm.
The bloody aura of Radiance of Ten Thousand Cuts was stirring and roiling as it unleashed a killing intent that seemed to be made of pure evil. Sensing the terrifying power of the Bloody Radiance of Ten Thousand Cuts, the six minions hastily turned away from Han Shuo's direction and scattered.
Like a flower blossoming, the Bloody Radiance of Ten Thousand Cuts suddenly exploded, sending out hundreds and thousands of hedgehog-like, spiky, bloody spears. The spikes seemed to be sentient as they shot towards the six Destroyer-rank experts from Brakyah. The six strange-looking Destroyers found it difficult to defend themselves. The four experts further away from the Bloody Radiance were barely able to resist the attack.
However, the other two closer to the Bloody Radiance were instantly pierced by Bloody Radiancetens of Thousands of cuts, paving the way for a rain of blood.
Han Shuo laughed mischievously and approached the other four Destroyers like a ghost. He was so fast that only a blurred trail could be seen. One of the four Destroyers did not seem to have come to his senses yet and opened his mouth wide as if he was about to spit poison.
Han Shuo threw a blow that entered the Destroyer's open mouth like a mighty spear and pierced its neck. His terrified eyes were wide open before he finally lost all signs of life.
Han Shuo revealed a callous smile that would send shivers down anyone's spine. With a flick of his arm, the Destroyer's skull hanging from his arm exploded. His juicy brain mixed with fresh blood and sprayed everywhere.
"Delightful, how delightful!" Han Shuo let out a belly laugh. He felt that when he relaxed his mind, his demonic arts were more willing to rise to a wonderful realm. Not only did the Demonic Yuan flow extremely smoothly, but it also provided a seemingly endless supply of energy. Even his demonic infant seemed to tremble with happiness.
If I follow my heart's desires and do as I please, and conduct myself with the ideal mental state of the carnal realm, then I can definitely make a breakthrough in this abyss," Han Shuo suddenly felt so confident.
"Brakyah, stop sending your minions to their deaths. Come and fight me yourself!" Han Shuo no longer cared about the remaining Destroyers. With an evil smile, he charged straight at Brakyah.
Han Shuo immediately won the approval of all the observers after displaying such brazenness and ferocity. They nodded and praised and sang, admiring Han Shuo's power. As for the girls like Hemanna and Sylph, their eyes gleamed with infatuation at the demon god-like Han Shuo, somewhat smitten by him.
The Demonic Blades in Han Shuo's hands reflected a blinding light. The Demonic Blades made of fingernails might have seemed rather bizarre to the people on the Profound Continent. In this realm of the Abyss, however, they seemed completely normal.
The level two raksha, Brakyah, on top of the demon-faced spider, had the water element in every cell of his body. He had obviously formed a elemental body of water . When he saw Han Shuo charging at him while howling with laughter, Brakyah's expression of contempt immediately vanished and was replaced by a grave expression.
.
After Han Shuo had killed three of his subordinates in a row with terrifying methods, Brakyah had an idea of the terrifying amount of power Han Shuo must possess. Puzzled by the sudden appearance of such an expert in War Demon Valley, he began to condense the water element in his body. Suddenly, Han Shuo found Brakyah rising into the sky like a water snake.
Because every cell in Brakyah's humanoid body was filled with the water element, his body was exceptionally soft and flexible. He wriggled and twisted like a python in front of Han Shuo. The demonic blades, emitting brilliant spellfire, sizzled and landed directly on Brakyah's body. To Han Shuo's amazement, although Brakyah's body had been sliced open by the Demonic Blades, not a single limb had been severed.
Brakyah used the time to get closer to Han Shuo. He even had time to tease Han Shuo.
In a disdainful voice, he said, "Where did this lowly race come from? To think that he actually tried this stupid method on me. How incredibly foolish!"
The Demonic Blades' attack on Brakyah was like swords slashing and stabbing water. With the Water Element filling every cell in his body, Brakyah had gained the extreme flexibility of water. To be unafraid of such a physical attack was completely unexpected by Han Shuo.
"All right then, I will give you something painful!" Han Shuo chuckled, ignoring Brakyah's advances.
He already had a countermeasure in mind.
