Chapter 470 - CHAPTER 471: Receiving A Scourge

"Then do you know why the Cemetery of Death and the skeleton staff have completely disappeared?" With Gilge's explanations, Han Shuo easily understood the rest of the stories. Now, the only thing Han Shuo couldn't understand was how the Skeletal Staff could have been lost from the hands of the Church of Calamity.

"I have no idea either. Ever since the encirclement and extermination campaign against the ancient necromancers began, the Cemetery of Death disappeared with them. Even later, when the Church of Calamity was founded, the cemetery of Death never reappeared. But now that you have obtained the Skeletal Staff and the ability to enter and leave freely, the Cemetery of Death has reappeared after thousands of years! The patriarch of the dark dragons, Gilges, shook his head. He didn't seem to understand what was going on behind the scenes.

Han Shuo continued to inquire about a certain matter regarding the Church of Calamity and the Cemetery of Death. But this time, Gilges didn't seem to be able to answer these questions either. That was all he knew.

"Oh right, do you all still want to stay here?" When Han Shuo could get no more useful information from Gilges, he planned to leave.

"We still have a few things to discuss. Besides, we want to bury the bodies of our children!" when this topic was brought up, Gilges looked very sad again.

"Master, I need to bury my father as well. From this day on, as long as I, Gilbert, am alive, I vow to wipe the shrine of Ice from the face of the continent!" Gilbert said with a determined look. He seemed to have made the Shrine of Ice his nemesis.

Han Shuo knitted his brows. He, on the other hand, was eager to leave as soon as possible. After all, there was still much to be done in the world above ground. However, he couldn't be sure if the Ice Shine would return. If by chance they did return and he wasn't there, then the dark dragons would never be able to escape tragedy.

After thinking for a moment, Han Shuo said, "Do whatever you need to do here. After that, everyone leave this place."

Han Shuo summoned the earth elite zombie and a group of zombie warriors. After giving an order to the Earth Elite Zombie, Han Shuo said to Gilbert, "Let them help you. First, bury your father's body. I will wait here with you for a few days. Then, when it's over and done with, you will carry the cage and we will all leave!"

"Thank you, Master!" Gilbert replied.

So Han Shuo temporarily stayed in this great canyon. Under the instruction of Gilbert's grandfather, Gilbert buried the bodies according to the rites of the Dark Dragon race. The dark dragons in the cage then discussed the paths they would take in the future.

Han Shuo also stayed there, but kept some distance from Gilbert and the others, eagerly researching the secrets of the three Necromancy Boundaries he had obtained the last time. After Han Shuo successfully released the Boundary of Weakness, he easily picked up the knack of using the Boundary of Fear. In the short span of two days, he was able to cast the Boundary of Fear proficiently.

The Boundary of Weakness and the Boundary of Fear were practically the same, so Han Shuo had to spend a little of time to master the latter. However, as far as the Boundary of Aging was concerned, he was at a loss. For the next three days, Han Shuo constantly studied the method of releasing the Boundary of Aging. Although he tried many times, he was never able to form the Boundary of Aging.

After five days, with the help of the Earth Elite Zombie, all the dead dark dragons had been properly buried. In those five days, Gilbert finally brought order to his chaotic mind. His grandfather Gilges also decided to leave temporarily, to open the cage and keep them safe in case the Shrine of Ice returned.

Perhaps it was because the Dark Dragons weighed as much as humans when they transformed into human form, or perhaps it was the unique structure of the cage, but Dark Dragon Gilbert alone could carry this huge cage on his shoulders, disproportionate to his own size. Following Han Shuo, they went back to the first layer through the same way they had come.

Before they reached the first layer, Han Shuo suddenly felt some aura fluctuations from several faint presences coming from the entrance above them. This made Han Shuo nervous. However, these presences couldn't possibly pose a threat to Han Shuo, so he wasn't too worried.

As Han Shuo and Dark Dragon Gilbert walked out of the tunnel, he finally realised who was actually guarding the mouth of the cave.

The five mature, sophisticated-looking female dark elves who had once had an orgy with Han Shuo had brought a group of dark elves to wait at the exit. Standing gracefully among them, Shialan smiled as soon as she saw Han Shuo. In a most insolent tone, she exclaimed, "Hey! It really was you! What a rare occasion to have you here. Why haven't you visited our tribe? Is it because you despise us dark elves?" Since Han Shuo had killed Adele, the five had become her successors as the new leaders of the dark elves. At first, Han Shuo had maintained contact with the underground world. But later, after Trunks gained control of the Valley of Sunshine, Trunks' men gradually began to trade certain things with the dark elves.

The underground world is rich in certain crystals and unusual ores. There were even some unusual treasures that couldn't be found above ground. As a trading point between several lands, the Valley of Sunshine was sure to have an abundance of goods for pleasure and enjoyment. Besides, the dark elves were a race that constantly sought the pleasures of life. As a result, Trunks had earned more gold coins in these few years of trading with the underground world than he had ever earned as a mercenary.

"How did you know I was here?" Han Shuo asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he looked at the dark elf.

"Hahaha, ever since you entered the underground world, you have been rushing all along the way. As a result, many batmen and goblins have spotted you two. These filthy things are now trading food with us for information about strangers passing through. As soon as you entered the tunnel to the second layer, I was informed of your whereabouts! Shialan explained. She giggled adorably and said, "Even though you've rarely come down to the underground these years, without your help, we wouldn't have been able to get so many rare items from Trunks. Now that you have come to the Underground World, we, as the hosts, must show you our hospitality!"

"So that explains it!" Han Shuo laughed. Then he said politely, "I really appreciate it, but this time I'm quite busy and don't have much time. The next time I visit the underground world, I will definitely pay you all a visit!"

Gilbert, dragging such a huge cage in his human form, looked monstrous and strange, as if he were carrying a mountain on his shoulders. His face showed disgust at the first sight of the dark elves.

If it hadn't been for the recent death of his father, the Dark Elves would probably still have been his prey, given the lecherous nature of the Dark Dragon race. But Gilbert hadn't been in a good mood. And now that Shialan and her party were delaying the release of the dark dragons, he obviously couldn't put on a friendly face.

"It's him, the dark dragon!" Behind Shialan, a dark elf who had seen Gilbert earlier whispered hastily to Shialan.

Shialan glanced at Gilbert once more before casting her glittering eyes over the few caged dark dragons with a thoughtful expression.

After a short while, a beautiful, pure young dark elf coughed lightly next to Shialan. Shialan was startled. She couldn't help but turn around to look at this beautiful young dark elf with rather complicated emotions in her eyes. But then she returned to normal in an instant.

"Alright then. But since it's such a rare opportunity for you to come down to the underground world, we can't let you go empty-handed!" When Shialan took a quick look at the young dark elf, she seemed to have received some kind of instruction. Smiling, she pointed at the young lady and said to Han Shuo, "This is the most beautiful girl in our breed at the moment. Hehehe, she is still untouched! As our best friend, I give her to you as a gift. How you want to treat her, as a servant or a slave, it's up to you, but you must accept this gift. Otherwise, you will look down upon the race of dark elves!"

Beyond Han Shuo's expectations, after Shialan took one look at the beautiful, pure young dark elf lady, she insisted on giving her to Han Shuo.

While Han Shuo was startled, he couldn't help but carefully assess this beautiful dark elf. With a quick glance, he realised that this dark elf was indeed extremely beautiful. Standing in the middle of Shialan and the other four beautiful women, the pure, youthful aura she radiated was even more enticing.

Unlike ordinary dark elves, there seemed to be some kind of very pure aura emanating from her body. A sign that she was truly untainted by the lascivious culture of the dark elves. As she shyly looked at Han Shuo, she gave people a lovely, pitiful feeling for her.

Han Shuo looked deeply at this young dark elf, and in his heart, he felt a very familiar feeling, as if he had known this young lady for a long time. It was a wonderful feeling. Han Shuo thought for a moment. He was certain that he had never met this young lady during the many times he had entered and exited the underground world. He was completely confused.

Could there be such a thing as familiarity at first sight? Han Shuo thought to himself. He couldn't help but continue to judge this lady even more strangely.

"You must accept. If you don't, you'll be looking down on us dark elves!" There was no telling what Shialan's problem was that she absolutely insisted on giving this young lady to Han Shuo. It was as if, if Han Shuo didn't receive this girl, he would be treated as an enemy of her race from now on.

"Okay. You, come with me!" If the worst came to the worst, there would only be one more servant in the city lord's mansion in Brettel City. Besides, it was not worth making trouble for Trunks over such a matter, and so he simply agreed.

With that, Shialan and the others no longer stood in Han Shuo's way, but chatted happily and wittily with him, seeing him through to the exit.
