Chapter 459 - CHAPTER 460: Incomparable Murderous Soul

Upon arriving in Brettel City, Han Shuo introduced Elizabeth to Jack and others, gave some instructions, and immediately went to his secret chamber and activated his transportation matrix.

As he entered the Cemetery of Death, Han Shuo was overcome with exhilaration. The terrifying pressure that had been following him - like a shadow following a body - had vanished without a trace.

"It's gone!" Han Shuo exclaimed in surprise.

Ever since he left Tarrag Canyon, Han Shuo had felt a bone-deep pressure from the six-horned tribal king of the Soul Race. But when he entered the Cemetery of Death, he could no longer feel that heavy pressure on his chest.

He walked out of the hall, looked down at the snow-white bones beneath his feet, and then raised his head to look up at the dark, murky sky. Suddenly, Han Shuo realised what was happening.

It seemed that the boundary surrounding the entire Cemetery of Death was isolating him from the trace of the Six-Horned Tribe King's soul. As long as he was in the Cemetery of Death, Han Shuo believed that the Six-Horned Tribe King would never be able to locate him.

Before arriving at the Cemetery of Death, Han Shuo had made many escape plans. He had even prepared to use the Skeleton Staff to send his soul to the netherworld for protection once he entered the Cemetery. But now it seemed that none of that would be necessary. The boundary of the mysterious Cemetery of Death unexpectedly solved Han Shuo's worries.

"Cemetery of Death, oh Cemetery of Death, how many more secrets are you hiding?" Han Shuo couldn't help but lament.

Being able to block the six-horned tribe king's sensing power to his soul was enough to explain how miraculous the boundary that shielded the Cemetery of Death was.

Poor Stratholme. You may have already left Stranglethorn Valley for a life of seclusion and cultivation. But even if you're still in Stranglethorn Valley, the Cemetery of Death is not a place you can enter. Han Shuo thought to himself.

Without the threat of the Six Horned Tribe King breathing down his neck, Han Shuo's mood relaxed somewhat. Afterwards, he sat cross-legged on the spot where he had previously refined his mystical demons, and removed the three orbs he had managed to loot from his space ring.

Three orbs. One of the Origin Crystals, containing the intense Element of Death, one containing the Element of Darkness, and the last one emitting an energy of destruction that could make one's skin crawl - the Crystal of Destruction, which only a madman would want to fuse with, according to Stratholme.

On the way from the Sacred Mountain of the Church of Light, Han Shuo had asked Stratholme for the exact technique to use the Crystal of Origin. And now, everything was in place. Han Shuo focused his gaze on the Origin Crystal, which emitted the pure element of death.

Holding the Pure Death Element Origin Crystal in his hand, Han Shuo steadily entered the Origin Crystal with his mental power and felt the incomparably vast and pure Death Elemental Energy stored within. Next, Han Shuo tried to act according to the methods Stratholme had described. He opened his consciousness to allow the Origin Crystal to merge with his consciousness.

Suddenly, something happened that Han Shuo had never expected. His mental power could clearly sense the tremendous pure element of death. But when he tried the method Stratholme had given him, trying to fuse his consciousness with this Element of Death, his consciousness immediately locked down, absolutely forbidding any iota of the Element of Death from entering.

His consciousness had completely rejected the energy of the Origin Crystal, leaving him unable to form the 'Soul of Element' that Stratholme and Tiana had mentioned.

Han Shuo's demonic infant had the fantastic ability to absorb and transform a variety of evil energies. However, Han Shuo's consciousness was still very selfish and would not allow any energy incompatible with the demonic arts to be assimilated into it. Han Shuo could clearly feel the rejection from his consciousness.

Perhaps the Origin Crystal of Destruction will yield better results!

After putting away the Origin Crystal of Death, Han Shuo took out the orb emitting intense destructive energy and tried to fuse the destructive energy into his consciousness again using the same methods.

Once again, the consciousness refused!

Just like before, not a trace of that enormous destructive energy could enter his consciousness, and of course he was unable to merge with it.

Han Shuo frowned. Holding the Origin Crystal of Death in one hand and the Crystal of Destruction in the other, he thought, "I've put a lot of effort into plundering these two spheres, and still I can't absorb any of it. It seems that all this effort was in vain.

There were three important components in Han Shuo's body. One was the demon infant in his lower abdomen. The Demon Infant was the source and root of Demonic Yuan, which was the basis for the use of Demonic Arts. The other two components were in his brain. His consciousness, formed after the fusion of his three ethereal souls, was the basis for everything. Its importance was obvious.

The last one, like the demonic infant for a cultivator of the demonic arts, was the source and storage of energy. What was stored in this part of the brain was mental power. For Han Shuo, a necromancy grand magus, it was the key to unleashing necromancy magic.

Of the three, the most important was of course the consciousness, also known to the average human as the soul. The Consciousness contained all of Han Shuo's experiences and memories, including all of his realisations, all of his knowledge of the demonic arts, and all of his understanding of necromancy magic.

The consciousness was the only proof that Han Shuo was alive!

With his demonic arts having reached such a stage, Han Shuo would never allow any mishap to occur to his consciousness, the foundation of his demonic arts.

However, based on Stratholme's explanation, Han Shuo knew that in order to become a god in the realm of magic, one's soul had to form an Elemental Soul. Only then could his soul be perfectly compatible with the Element and possess the deepest realisation of that line of magic.

Still, the Soul of Element was obviously also an evolution of one's own soul, and the evolution of one's soul meant change. It was a pity that his soul had previously been transformed into a consciousness that was best suited for the practice of demonic arts. If Han Shuo did not evolve his consciousness back to its original state, the Origin Crystals would be of no use to him. No matter how you looked at it, the demonic arts were always more valuable to Han Shuo than necromancy. Therefore, Han Shuo would never give up his achievements in the demonic arts. Moreover, he did not believe that he could not become a god without forming an elemental soul. After much deliberation, Han Shuo gave up on merging with the crystals.

Origin Crystal of Death, Destruction and Darkness. Han Shuo could not use any of the three. He placed the three orbs in front of him and began to think about how to maximise the utility of the three objects he had gone to so much trouble to obtain.

After some thought, a light bulb lit up above his head. He summoned a little skeleton from the netherworld.

"This is for you. Take it and merge your soul with the energy it contains. That way, you can better utilise the element of death in the netherworld." Han Shuo handed the Origin Crystal of Death to the little skeleton as he appeared and informed him of the process to fuse it with his soul.

"Thank you, thank you father. I can sense that this thing will bring me unimaginable benefits. It must be the most precious treasure for an undead creature. I don't know what it will turn me into, but I'm sure it will make me stronger. That is for sure!" The little skeleton held the Origin Crystal in his hand, emitting a pure aura of death as blinding light exploded from his purple demon eyes. Han Shuo could feel his immense excitement and joy.

"Good then. I believe you will be stronger!" Han Shuo said with a faint smile as he felt the little skeleton's barely contained excitement.

"Father, with this, I will be able to subdue the bone dragons. In my world, I expect to become stronger and stronger. My influence will increase a hundredfold!" said the little skeleton with exuberant ambition.

"Alright, go ahead. Immediately merge with the Origin Crystal of Death as I have taught you!" Han Shuo said smiling and when the little skeleton nodded, he sent it back to the netherworld with another necromancy spell.

As for the Origin Crystal of Darkness, of all the people besides Han Shuo, only Emily could demonstrate its use to the greatest extent, since no one else practised dark magic. It seemed that this time, Emily would surely go mad with joy. After fusing her soul with the Origin Crystal of Darkness, her power would undoubtedly increase by leaps and bounds.

All that remained was the Crystal of Destruction. After racking his brain, Han Shuo still couldn't figure out what to do with it. As he stared at the Crystal of Destruction, he realized that the Crystal of Destruction was somewhat different from other Elemental Origin Crystals. Once one's soul fused with this boundless energy of destruction, one would become deranged, knowing only how to wreak havoc.

He held the Crystal of Destruction in his hand, gazed at it for ages, and still had no idea what to do with it.

Suddenly, a boundless desire for ruthless massacre surged from Han Shuo's body. With a thought, the Demonslayer Edge suddenly flew out of Han Shuo's neck and landed on his palm. Inexhaustible resentment and murderous intent poured out of the Demonslayer Edge, flooding the entire Cemetery of Death.

A stream of blood, glistening with bloody rays, flowed from the Demonslayer's Edge as if it were alive.

Han Shuo understood that the murder weapon that was the Demonslayer Edge had evolved and formed a true master soul! From this day on, the Demonslayer's Edge would truly be an incomparable demonic weapon!

As Han Shuo looked at the Demonslayer's Edge with excitement, the Demonslayer's Edge suddenly flew out of his right hand. Before Han Shuo could react, its edges had pierced through the orb containing the energy of destruction.

While Han Shuo was stunned - the main soul that had just formed within the Demonslayer Edge had begun to fuse with the terrifying energy of destruction within the crystal!
