Chapter 375 - CHAPTER 375: The Sculpture

Ossen City of the Lancelot Empire. Headquarters of the Boozt Merchant Guild.

Phoebe and Lawrence sat upright sipping tea in an elegant back courtyard. Lawrence wore a sombre expression. Although his identity as a prince had already been recognised by the king, he was still living miserably.

In contrast, Phoebe, sitting opposite him, had a charming appearance that was becoming increasingly natural and elegant. But because she also held that divine weapon, the Starry Sky, she even had a slightly icy, arrogant charm. As Phoebe fondled the Starry Sky in her hands, not wanting to part with it, her mind began to float uncontrollably towards the distant Brettel City.

"Junior sister, your current Boozt Merchant Guild is becoming more and more influential thanks to your work. Bryan is also like a fish in water in Brettel City. But my days aren't so good. I will probably be killed by Charles as soon as the royal father dies. Did you really help me deliver my letter to Bryan or not?" Lawrence looked at the Phoebe in front of him and asked somewhat helplessly.

"Elder brother, it's not like there aren't any of your people in Brettel City. You should be even clearer than me whether Bryan is in Brettel City or not. But what you're saying is true. It's been so many months. Why isn't there any trace of him? Could it be that he's gone off to do another evil deed?" Phoebe's long lashes fluttered as her pupils sparkled with doubt.

Lawrence had sent a few people to Brettel City before, Faulke being one of them. After that, Lawrence had also arranged for a number of talented politicians to arrive in Brettel City. Even though these people currently held suitable positions in Brettel City, they would continue to send information to Lawrence as before. From the information they had sent, it seemed that Han Shuo was indeed not in Brettel City.

Lawrence sighed before he suddenly said to Phoebe, "I also have the Dark Mantle agents helping me inquire for any information on him. But so far there has not been the slightest trace of him. What do you think? Could something have happened to him?"

Phoebe laughed proudly as she immediately pulled out the divine weapon 'Starry Sky', which emitted a bright and sparkling starlight. She gave Lawrence a scornful look and said, "He could even kill Celt, the number one Redbud Knight commander among the ten great knight troops on the continent. Celt was also a very powerful dragon rider. What kind of misfortune do you think he will face?

This fellow is extremely cunning and sinister, while his sensitivity is frighteningly sharp. Even if he found himself in a dangerous situation, he would still be able to escape. He's definitely not going to have any mishaps. Instead, he will surely do some evil deeds in secret again. These words were not spoken to Lawrence, of course, but pondered in her own heart.

Lawrence thought about it carefully and found it reasonable. It wasn't the first day that he knew Han Shuo, so he naturally understood that with Han Shuo's personality and strength, he would definitely not indulge in foolish and reckless acts of bravery. The moment he realised that he was in a helpless situation, he would always leave immediately in a regretful manner. After all, he shouldn't have had any accidents.

As his hands massaged his temples, Lawrence said somewhat exhausted, "Junior sister, I must have been too anxious lately, causing my thoughts to become a bit chaotic lately."

"Don't worry. As for your relationship with Bryan, as long as he knows about the current circumstances in Ossen City, he should come back and help you. Hm, I heard that not long ago, the seven grand duchies tried to unite and defeat Brettel City. I think Bryan may have gone to the seven grand duchies to do some evil secret things. Don't worry about it. He will definitely come find you after he finishes his business. Phoebe said, comforting Lawrence. She knew that Lawrence had really been pushed to the brink by the princes and of course she understood Lawrence's current feelings.

"Hopefully he will hurry back before my royal father dies. Besides, we have no idea what's going on with our master. The situation has already reached such a state, but he has yet to take a declarative stance. Even I have no idea whether he will support me in the end or not. Lawrence complained with a headache. Then he turned to Phoebe, "Junior sister, you're our Master's most beloved student. Do you have any idea what our Master is planning in the end?"

Phoebe thought for a moment before answering, "Master has always been solely responsible for teaching us different kinds of knowledge. I have a feeling that he wants you to become king and rely on your own strength. You should also know that our Master has always made us work hard for our own goals. He has never once relied on his identity to help us."

"Sigh. If I really only rely on my own strength, it's basically impossible for me to become king based on the current circumstances." Lawrence seemed to know something about his master's personality, because he couldn't help but sigh.

"Although Master won't help you justly and openly, he wouldn't let others bully you either. If Master hadn't let Grandpa Bollands secretly protect you, I'm afraid you would have been secretly killed by others. This proves that Master cares about you too. Phoebe continued to comfort Lawrence.

Hearing this, Lawrence nodded his head and agreed, "That's true. Fortunately, Bollands was there to help me several times, otherwise I really would have been killed long ago.

Phoebe did not speak further as she continued to focus on polishing the 'Starry Sky', which was already shining clearly like a mirror. She treated it as if this sword was Han Shuo.

"When I came over, Master wanted me to tell you that you shouldn't rely too much on the weapons in your hands. Weapons will always be dead objects. They may make you a little stronger, but they won't increase your personal strength." Lawrence stood and said to Phoebe.

"Don't worry, I have an even better understanding of Master's martial arts more than you do. Instead, you should put more effort into thinking about how you can get some additional advantages from your royal father." Phoebe said indifferently before continuing to wipe the divine weapon in her hand. When she thought about the fact that this damned guy had yet to see her after so long, she realised that this long distance relationship was definitely not going to work out in the end!

By the time Phoebe remembered and mentally nagged Han Shuo, he had already arrived in Ossen City. It was only after arriving in Ossen City that Han Shuo realised that three months had already passed while he was unconscious and resisting the power of the Spider Goddess Rose in the Cemetery of Death. During those three months, the Seven Grand Duchies had continued to campaign against each other, while Brettel City and the Duchy of Helon had already made numerous secret deals in the shadows.

Han Shuo did not make another move towards Benedict Sackville of the Narsen Duchy. On the one hand, the opportunity was hard to come by, and on the other hand, there were other more important things waiting to be done. After returning to Brettel City from Narsen Duchy, Han Shuo took the necessary materials to refine an elite metal zombie from Jack, entered Mount Silk, and planted the future elite metal zombie inside. Then, after giving some tasks to Jack and the others, Han Shuo left Brettel City, passed through Seamist City's transportation matrix, and arrived in Ossen City.

Since Faulke and the other former subordinates of Lawrence had already told Han Shuo that he wanted to see him urgently, Han Shuo immediately left for Ossen City. Knowing Han Shuo's destination, Faulke and the others didn't report Han Shuo's appearance to Lawrence because they knew Han Shuo would arrive there first.

After entering Ossen City, Han Shuo hurried to Fanny's laboratory first because the teleportation array was near Babylon Academy. Han Shuo had not seen Fanny for a long time, and he really longed for the bright and beautiful teacher right now.

Han Shuo made his way to Babylon Academy under the cover of the dark night. On the way, Han Shuo avoided some relatively crowded areas and headed towards the Necromancy Major.

The moment Han Shuo reached the long corridor with the sculptures that Jack and he frequently cleaned, he suddenly noticed a very familiar-looking new sculpture. The finished sculpture was made of pure white jade and meticulously carved. This imposingly tall sculpture faced the sky while holding a magic staff and posed as if it was singing a magical chant.

Beneath this new sculpture was a glamorous engraving of small letters: Bryan, a graduate of the Institute of Necromancy of the Babylonian Academy of Magic and Strength. He graduated in two years and three months - the fastest graduation rate in history. He is currently an Archmage Necromancer and has previously defeated the Great Swordmaster Leah Cain....

As Han Shuo looked at his own sculpture, he was suddenly overcome with indescribable emotions. When he and Jack had both wiped those sculptures, they had once been filled with ambition and desire to stand among those sculptures. But after remembering those times, he truly felt a spontaneous pride and satisfaction of accomplishment when he actually saw his own sculpture.

"I... never expected - I really never expected - that one day my own sculpture would be able to stand here and become a motivational model for future generations." Han Shuo muttered to himself as he looked at his own sculpture in front of him.

"Thanks to you, the number of new students in the necromancy major has increased many times over. Hehe, Fanny is even busier now!" A friendly voice sounded from behind Han Shuo. Babylon Academy's Dean Emma gradually walked in front of Han Shuo.

As a Space Grand Magus, Emma possessed the unique ability to walk through space. Within this region, as long as Emma wanted to find someone, she could immediately appear in front of that person's face.

After the space fluctuated, Han Shuo immediately knew that Emma had noticed his arrival. When Emma's voice sounded, Han Shuo was not the least bit surprised as he smiled at the all too familiar Dean Emma and said, "I really never expected that my sculpture would be able to stand here."

"Hehe, you already had the qualifications to stand here when you advanced from a magical apprentice to an archmage in three years. Even more so, after graduating from this academy, your every action has maintained this breathtaking unbelief. Necromancy is the weakest major of this academy, but a character like you could still come out of it! It's only natural that your statue will be erected. Emma smiled kindly as she walked in front of Han Shuo's sculpture and lightly pressed her thumb on the note underneath the sculpture. She had just added another character, changing the symbols of Archmage to Grand Magus. Emma seemed to have already determined that Han Shuo was a Grand Magus Necromancer.
