Prior to Han Shuo's arrival at the Northern Guard, Thunder Archmage Killua had been the leader of the Northern Guard's Magic Corps. However, due to Han Shuo's appearance, he could only take orders from Han Shuo.
Killua had been a little reluctant at first, but after Boris said a few words to him, he immediately understood that Han Shuo had only come to the Northern Guard to gain some military success, and that the Northern Guard's magic corps would only be a stepping stone for Han Shuo. After that, not only would that remove any grievances he might have had, but he would even deliberately curry favour with Han Shuo, hoping for a little help when Han Shuo became successful.
"Be careful, they have over twenty people and they're all quite strong!" Han Shuo said quietly as he returned to Emily's side after giving his orders.
"I see, what do you think we should do?" Emily nodded and then asked for Han Shuo's opinion.
"When the hundred knights surround this area, immediately use magic to destroy any obstacles. Capture the experts if you can, otherwise it's fine to kill them all. As long as we can find the blueprints, we've basically completed this mission!" Han Shuo thought about it and said quietly.
"We'll do as you say. These Northern Guards seem to trust you very much. You have to lead them well so that they don't screw up!" Emily said obediently in front of Han Shuo, she had already gotten used to having him in charge.
"All right then, keep an eye on Yoland, don't let him escape!" Han Shuo replied before slowly floating into the air.
Han Shuo quickly passed through the knights and mages like a ghost. Using the three hundred and sixty degree surveillance of the three Yin Demons, Han Shuo continuously gave orders to the surrounding knights. He ordered them to dismount their horses and hide in the surrounding area. The contingent of knights slowly surrounded the other party, maintaining a buffer of one hundred and fifty metres.
Han Shuo stood proudly in the sky, calmly commanding the knights and mages of the Northern Guard. He made sure that suitable men were placed in each location. Meanwhile, everyone lowered their voices and quietly approached the dirty and dilapidated building.
The distance slowly decreased as the encirclement tightened. When the two parties were only fifty metres apart, Han Shuo waved to Killua and the others. Seeing his action, they immediately began chanting spells in silence, their expressions solemn.
"My lord, we are surrounded. I hear unusual sounds coming from the wind!" A wind mage said anxiously to Yoland, who had a dark and muscular body and was riding a tattooed beast.
"How is that possible?" Yoland suddenly sat up from a pile of straw he'd been resting on. He glanced quickly out of the window, his expression immediately darkening as he shouted softly, "Everyone, gather. Find a way to break through the encirclement!"
The twenty or so people in the room all stood up in silence upon hearing this. They all drew their swords and knives and prepared to charge out.
As the leader, Yoland remained calm in the face of such a terrible situation. His space ring glowed slightly as he took out the blueprints he'd gone to so much trouble to obtain. He carefully dug a hole in the wall and said quietly, "The brothers who have come on this mission are all not afraid to die. I will place the blueprints in the widened gap in the wall. If any of you can leave this place alive, you can wait until Ossan City is not so heavily guarded before you return to bring the blueprints back to the Empire. Do you hear me?"
"Don't worry, my lord. We know what to do!" The wind mage replied seriously. The other people in the room also wore determined expressions, ready to make the sacrifice.
Suddenly, five bolts of lightning fell from the sky. The zigzagging flashes lit up the pitch-black sky. At the same time, several walls of flame appeared around the building, causing the surrounding temperature to rise to dangerous levels. Meanwhile, the ground began to shake as spires began to rise from the ground.
Yoland and the others inside the house realised that the attack had already begun. They all jumped out of the doors and windows and began to charge separately from all directions through the attacks of lightning, fire snakes and rock spikes.
"Kill!" Han Shuo's cold voice rang through the night.
Killua's lightning suddenly struck down. As the houses were struck, each one exploded with a deep rumble. Two men rushed out of the houses. They fell limply to the ground as the lightning struck them.
The hundred knights of the Northern Guard were all elite military men, each with the strength of a companion-at-arms or a sergeant. Under Han Shuo's orders, each one methodically blocked the roads. As soon as they noticed someone running towards them, they would immediately move to block the target mercilessly.
"Send three knights to the north to stop them. Killua, have the Magic Corps attack the four experts who are coming from the south. Yoland is in the west, he is a sky rider, so those in the west must be careful..."
Using the vision of the three Yin Demons, Han Shuo sent out his orders leisurely. Each time, he would accurately mention the strength and numbers of the other party, and then send out the appropriate number of troops to stop the assassins' attack.
Emily and Chester slowly approached the direction in which Yoland was charging under Han Shuo's orders. As a thief, attacking directly wasn't Chester's forte, so he stayed with the group of knights setting up the blockade, leaving it to Emily, who was ready to attack with dark magic at any time.
"Damn it, why is the enemy so aware of our movements?" Yoland had told everyone to split up and attack with the strongest force they could muster. However, he'd noticed a few weaker areas in the beginning that could have been breached. Unfortunately, before they'd even approached them, those places had suddenly become heavily guarded, and those who tried to break through had suffered enormous casualties.
The mages all cast spells in directions they couldn't see at Han Shuo's command. However, the spells always left Yoland's people in dire straits, severely wounding or even killing those waiting in the dark.
"I didn't notice anyone casting the Eye of Heaven. I don't know why the enemy can see our movements so clearly!" The wind Mage voice was desperate as his fear broke through.
"Everyone, if you think you can easily escape after breaking the law in the capital of the Lancelot Empire, think again! Everyone here knows your identities. As long as you lay down your weapons, surrender, and identify yourselves, we can allow you to live and wait for the mediators from your country to negotiate," Han Shuo fired off a series of orders before shouting at them with a smile.
Their actions were fully revealed to Han Shuo by the Yin Demons' surveillance. He would then organise experts with the appropriate skills to stop the would-be escapees. He had successfully killed enough of the assassins, leaving only thirteen. On the other hand, the Northern Guard had only four lightly wounded and one seriously wounded when the other party fought back to the brink of death. Otherwise, no one died.
Still, only fearless attacks were the answer to Han Shuo's announcement. None of the Angel Empire assassins showed the slightest hesitation. After Han Shuo had finished speaking, they viciously tried to break through the encirclement again.
From their reactions and strength, Han Shuo could tell that these people were all sworn to death. They probably hadn't thought about surviving after entering the Lancelot Empire. It was an unrealistic idea to capture these people alive. Therefore, after a bit of hesitation, Han Shuo suddenly ordered, "Everyone, don't hold back any longer, just kill them all!
"Brothers, rush out with all your might. Even if you can't, take several of them down with you!" shouted Yoland after hearing Han Shuo's merciless orders,
"You no longer have a chance!" Emily's cold voice rang out as she glared at Yoland from her black robes, "The technicians in the military factory were all helpless civilians. They were all brutally killed. You really deserve to die today!"
"Haha, since they were not people from my empire, so what if they died!" Yoland laughed maniacally as he raised a huge broadsword and mounted his tattooed beast. He charged directly at Emily. "Woman, are you going to stop me alone?"
"Foolish!" Han Shuo's thick, murderous aura spread at lightning speed before Emily could cast a spell. The Demonslayer's Edge glowed with crimson light as the blood-red sword aura descended from the sky towards Yoland with unprecedented ferocity.
Yoland had been running towards Emily and hadn't thought that Han Shuo would suddenly attack like this, let alone from above. Even though he had the strength of a sky rider, he still found it a bit difficult to face such a sudden attack. The broadsword he was holding horizontally had to be raised quickly to meet the Demonslayer's Edge that was attacking from above.
Clang!
Sparks exploded everywhere and a clear crack appeared in Yoland's broadsword. He snorted as his shoulder shook, while the four short legs of the tattooed beast beneath him snapped, unable to withstand the force. The tattooed beast fell to the ground as its wolf-like head continued to spew blood.
"Haha, don't even think about getting the blueprints if you kill me. All the technicians have been killed, you won't be able to make the war chariots without the blueprints!" Yoland looked tragically at the tattooed beast beneath him before grimacing and laughing savagely. With no way to attack Han Shuo in the sky, he could only sprint quickly towards Emily.
"Isn't it just hiding in the crack in the wall? What's so hard about that?" Han Shuo said with disdain. Ignoring Yoland as his expression changed drastically, Han Shuo dashed towards the room where the targets had originally been hiding in with lightning speed.
