In the Dark Forest, the forest trolls' sacred land.
Under the blazing sun, a rainbow spectrum sliced through the sky. Like an arrow flying against the flow of time, the light landed silently in the centre of the Dark Forest.
After four months, the lush and dense vegetation in the place of the Extreme Forest had once again undergone an earth-shattering change. All of the towering old trees had withered, and the weeds on the ground were without a trace of their original vibrant green. The once lush place of Extreme Forest no longer had a single green leaf.
Plants were no longer growing and the dry, cracked and hard ground was revealed. At a glance, the whole scene was one of desertification. Due to the existence of the formation, the wooden elements that had originally filled the place were now gathered in the body of the wood elite zombie at the centre of the formation. This had caused all the plans to wither as they lost the wood elemental energy they'd originally possessed.
Han Shuo relied on the Yin Demons' reconnaissance when he landed. He could tell from afar that several forest trolls were stationed here, apparently protecting the sacred land.
From the roots of the oldest and largest dried tree, a series of intimate cries rang out. The elite wood zombie had Han Shuo's blood essence flowing through its veins. He had sensed Han Shuo's arrival because of their connection.
"Come out!" A series of black lights converged on the place where the wood elite zombie was hiding as Han Shuo used the secret arts.
Rumbling...
A rumble spread across the ground as the old, dried tree suddenly exploded. Pieces of bark and wood flew in all directions as a dark cavern was revealed at the base. Ancient roots were buried deep underground.
Whoosh! A green shadow leapt out of the dark cave.
A green armour covered the wood elite zombie. This armour looked like it was made of tree trunks, as it shimmered with a green light. The wood elite zombie was tall and thin. At first glance, it really did look like a tree branch. Its bright green eyes were filled with joy at this moment, rolling around as it stared at Han Shuo.
A thick mist of wood elemental energy drifted out with the appearance of the wood elite zombie. The wood elements that had been tightly bound and absorbed by the wood elite zombie were now gradually escaping, bringing a breath of fresh air to this almost deserted land.
Han Shuo understood that after the wood elite zombie left, this area would gradually return to normal. The dead plants would burst back to life, and the whole place should be able to return to its original lush state in less than eighteen months.
The little skeleton and the Earth Elite Zombie appeared together after an incantation. When the little skeleton saw the wood elite zombie, he immediately walked over arrogantly. He jumped up and patted the Wood Elite Zombie's shoulders like a general inspecting one of his soldiers.
This wood elite zombie seemed surprisingly afraid of the little skeleton. Its glowing green eyes shone brightly as it took the initiative to lower its shoulders to allow the little skeleton to pat it.
The earth elite zombie stumbled over to the wood elite zombie's side and mutely touched the wood elite zombie's shoulder, as if to greet the wood elite zombie like the little skeleton. But the green eyes glared at him. The earth elite zombie was stunned and withdrew his right hand that was about to pat the wood elite zombie's shoulder. He ended up patting his own shoulder, his posture rather comical.
"Let's go, let me see what you have mastered." Han Shuo looked at the wood elite zombie and started to walk out.
They left the place of Extreme Wood and arrived at a riverbank in the forest after walking for a while. As soon as they arrived, the green eyes of the wood elite zombie shone brightly without stopping, and the trees around them began to dance in the wind. The towering old trees, which required several people to fully embrace them, twisted their soft, ribbon-like branches like snakes, moving in accordance with the green light emanating from the wood elite zombie's eyes.
The plants around Han Shuo all seemed to be affected. They were all either whipping around or growing rapidly. The wood elite zombie was showing off, and his figure disappeared from view as he leaned against a nearby tree.
Han Shuo knew early on that the Wood Elite Zombie could manipulate plants. His mind spun as he remembered the strange ability of the druid Caspian. Feeling that there were some similarities between the two, his heart couldn't help but feel somewhat strange.
With the Wood Elite Zombie, Han Shuo's strength would be increased once again when he entered the Dark Forest again. The Dark Forest was dense and full of life, while the Wood Elite Zombie was like a ghost that could control the plants within it at will. It could randomly merge with a large tree or launch a surprise attack. No one would be able to catch him if he retreated.
"Not bad, not bad, very good. You three brats can all go back!" Han Shuo watched for a while before nodding his head. As usual, he left a Dark Signet inside the Wood Elite Zombie, then sent the three of them back to the other dimension.
It's been three months. I wonder why the Fire Elite Zombie hasn't been finished yet. Forget it, let's leave this place for now. He'll call me when he's ready. Han Shuo thought for a while and then returned to the cemetery. He had no intention of going to the Place of Extreme Fire to inspect the situation. Who knew if the Lord of Flames would go mad again? It was best not to go if he wasn't extremely confident.
Han Shuo was in no hurry to leave after returning to the Cemetery of Death. Instead, he went into the depths of the building inside.
He'd been stopped at the first level before due to a lack of mental strength. Now that his strength had increased greatly, Han Shuo wanted to try again.
He passed through the first passage with ease. At the second level, Han Shuo rammed straight into the invisible force field. A strange force suddenly pierced through his brain, and an excruciating pain suddenly spread through his mind. It was as if Han Shuo was being torn apart by a tornado of sharp blades - twisted, stabbed and dragged into an endless abyss.
Fortunately, Han Shuo's current state of mind was now extremely resilient. Despite the extreme pain of the thousand cuts inflicted on his body, he gritted his teeth and focused his mental strength to push through the magical boundary. A crunching sound echoed as he fell to the ground.
Suddenly, the Eye of Darkness in Han Shuo's hand emitted a blinding green light. Under the glowing light, he found himself in the centre of an oval altar. The entire altar was suddenly enveloped in a green halo as the green light touched it. An enormous, strange force converged on Han Shuo from the corners of the altar.
These ribbons of green light all poured into the Eye of Darkness in Han Shuo's hand. A mysterious force suddenly entered his palm and flooded his brain like water released from a dam.
"My child, you've proven that you at least have the mental strength of an Archmage by being able to enter the second level. Now let go of everything and accept this mental strength. It will help you reach the power of a Grand Magus!" The shadowy figure from the first layer slowly formed and spoke calmly.
Han Shuo was ecstatic. He immediately sat down and relaxed his soul to receive the mysterious power. As soon as this power entered, it mysteriously merged directly with his mental power, giving Han Shuo a very comfortable, wonderful feeling. The extreme pain from earlier had long since vanished without a trace. At the moment, Han Shuo seemed to be bathed in sun-drenched, warm water. He was enjoying it with complete leisure and comfort.
The green layers of light enveloped the entire altar and slowly merged with the Eye of Darkness at the epicentre. The enormous, pure power merged with Han Shuo's mental strength. His brain, enhanced by the demonic magic, rapidly changed.
This process continued for an unknown amount of time. Han Shuo forgot everything and indulged in the wondrous feeling of having full control over his mental power. He even forgot about his own existence.
"Child, necromancy is the most powerful and wonderful magic on earth, yet some people don't allow it to exist. You, as the rightful heir of the ancient magic of necromancy, have the responsibility to reveal to the world its profound meaning and the glory it once held."
"That the canopy of necromancy should cover the earth, that necromancy should be able to shake every corner of the world, that every place should be bathed in the evil light of necromancy - this is your responsibility. You cannot escape, you cannot refuse...
The voice of the shadowy figure slowly but seductively infiltrated Han Shuo's mind with the strange power. As Han Shuo's mental strength continued to grow, another stream of power suddenly erupted. This power was trying to invade his soul and drown him in evil forever.
This power had the ability to change the soul. When it finished fusing with the soul, it would turn Han Shuo into a most loyal follower, forever subject to the rule of an evil god.
"Aowuuuuu..."
Han Shuo threw his head back and let out a long howl to the heavens, spinning his magical yuan like mad. Another intense force surged out of the demon infant, reaching its brain in a second. It latched onto the force that was trying to enter its soul.
"No, no!" Han Shuo roared, his eyes a deep red as he gasped. His firm mental power kicked into gear as he utilised the magical yuan to the fullest, forming layer upon layer of obstructions in his brain to fight against the evil god's magical brand.
It was like a violent torrential eruption in Han Shuo's mind. It desperately resisted the power that was invading his soul, with the demon child as its main force. During this process, Han Shuo experienced excruciating agony, rolling and screaming on the altar. However, the green light around the Eye of Darkness grew brighter and brighter.
