Han Shuo ducked behind a lush bush as soon as he left the valley. He used his mental power to contact the Earth Elite Zombie and the little skeleton.
Whoosh! A thin white light shimmered under the moonlight, whizzing out of the valley and settling beside Han Shuo. This was obviously the little skeleton holding his bone dagger.
The seven bone spurs had returned to the little skeleton's back. He was holding the bone dagger with the ease of a child visiting a flower garden, completely oblivious to the chaotic events in the valley. What a veteran!
After making contact with his mind, Han Shuo could feel the Earth Elite Zombie swimming towards him from the depths of the valley. Ten seconds later, the ground beneath his feet loosened and the honest Earth Elite Zombie climbed out.
"Where are they?" Han Shuo asked hastily as he saw the Earth Elite Zombie return.
The earth elite zombie was taken aback. He scratched his head mutely in a moment of thought, then sank back to the ground and returned to the valley the same way. However, his speed was a little slower this time. Han Shuo focused his eyes and discovered that the Earth Elite Zombie had dug a tunnel that could fit one person.
It seemed that the Earth Elite Zombie had thrown everything to the wind and returned to Han Shuo when his master had just called him, so he'd completely forgotten about Trunks and the others. It wasn't until Han Shuo asked that the earth elite zombie remembered that he was in charge, so he used his natural talent to dig another tunnel.
The earth elite zombie could swim freely inside the earth, but Trunks and the others didn't have this miraculous talent. So the tunnel was essential. The Earth Elite Zombie was using his talents to create a passage in the valley, so his current speed couldn't be compared to his usual flying through the earth.
The three Yin Demons were far away. One of them was following Laureton, the chief of the Cairo mercenaries. Laureton had returned to his double-berserk state and was fleeing towards the Valley of Sunshine with the rest of the Cairo mercenaries.
The Cairo mercenaries had been badly damaged in the fierce battle in the valley. A dozen experts had been killed, which infuriated Laureton. However, he understood that it was simply impossible for the Cairo Mercenaries to win against the three other forces outside the Valley of Sunshine. He intended to return to the Valley of Sunshine with full force and take revenge at a later time.
Another Yin Demon remained in the valley. Since Han Shuo had beaten Ferguson to death, Florida had suffered a major blow. He was currently holding Ferguson's corpse and letting out earth-shattering wails. He'd simply forgotten to lead the pursuit of Laureton.
Ferguson had pampered his grandson and paved a great and easy way for him to grow up. It was Ferguson's identity, as well as the support of the Church of Light, that gave Florida the confidence to challenge Laureton for power in the Valley of Sunshine. However, since the grandfather who had raised him had been beaten to death by Han Shuo, it was hard to say whether he'd be able to borrow the power of the Church of Light from now on.
For Florida, his grandfather's death was emotionally unbearable, as well as putting a huge dent in his practical benefits. Even the sinister leader of the Rainbow Sickle mercenaries couldn't help but burst into tears at the double blow.
The House of Menlo group wasn't far from Florida. Adam Menlo was covered in wounds. When he had received the sky-shattering blow from Han Shuo, Adam Menlo had first circulated his combat aura for a full-body defence before wrapping himself tightly around the big Roc. As a result, he had narrowly escaped death.
Though he had escaped serious injury, his partner of decades, the golden-winged roc, hadn't been so lucky. He had been nearly shaved bald by the little skeleton's bone dagger, and more than half of the feathers on his golden wings had been torn off. When it'd faced Han Shuo's heaven-shattering blow, the roc had instinctively protected Adam Menlo, using its huge body to withstand the attack. His injuries were extremely severe.
At this moment, even though Adam Menlo's heart was depressed, he was also extremely angry. He trembled as he stroked the bald, bloody wings of the roc and cried out in rage, "I want to kill him! I must kill him!!"
Several minor powers lurking in the valley had witnessed all of the heaven-shattering changes that had taken place so far. Han Shuo's insane atrocities were etched in their minds and made the name of Soul Destroyer famous. Since Han Shuo's performance tonight demonstrated his close relationship with the Soul Destroyer mercenary band, no one would dare to look down on the group's strength again.
Han Shuo used the three Yin Demons to observe their surroundings. After a while, the Earth Elite Zombie jumped out of the ground again. It tugged at Han Shuo's sleeve and pointed its finger at the underground tunnel as if waiting for praise.
As he patted the Earth Elite Zombie's shoulder, Han Shuo said with a smile, "Not bad, you got it right this time!"
"Did what right?" Trunks followed as he jumped out of the tunnel with a loud laugh.
Gilbert also climbed out, carrying a large sack of hemp. Grant and the others followed, each carrying a large sack as well, their faces beaming with excitement.
"How did it go?" Han Shuo asked with a smile, knowing from their expressions that they must have made some generous profits.
"It was hard to get inside. There were rocks as sharp as knives. I'm afraid it would have been impossible without your friend's help. There were several Rainbow Sickle mercenaries, we casually killed them all and took the raw ores they were harvesting. We also mined some more and brought them here. Trunks seemed particularly pleased as he told the story with a carefree laugh.
"Looks like the Rainbow Sickle mercenaries used the geographical advantage to get a head start. Florida actually dared to announce that they would give up the mithril mine after killing Laureton. How shameless! Oh, right, how big was the mine? How much did we harvest?" Han Shuo scoffed at Florida's promise, then continued his questioning.
Shaking his head, Trunks said helplessly, "I am not sure. We only came in contact with a limited area. What we brought back are some raw ores with small amounts of mithril in them. We need someone who knows to confirm what we've harvested today.
If the Metal Elite Zombie were refined, its natural talents could be used to determine the size of the mine. With its ability to control metal and metal ores, the Metal Elite Zombie could easily collect all the resources of the entire silver mine in a short amount of time, leaving not a single piece of mithril behind.
Unfortunately, the Extreme Metal location was the most difficult of the five Extreme Areas to find. He was unable to refine the Metal Elite Zombie before locating it. With the Metal Elite Zombie, Han Shuo wouldn't have to worry about running out of ores. Combined with the dwarves' ability and the Metal Elite Zombie's natural ability to sense metal, a steady supply of weapons would be a simple matter.
Sighing a little, Han Shuo suddenly noticed movement from Janet's bandit group. He immediately cursed, "Alright, let's go first. The valley is in chaos, so we shouldn't stay here for now."
"You put the ores down, I'll put them in my space ring." Han Shuo urged Gilbert and the others.
Only Trunks wore a space ring among this group, even Grant and the mercenaries used bags tied around their waists. Space rings were notoriously expensive. These mercenaries, of course, didn't have enough gold coins to buy one.
However, Grant and the mercenaries didn't immediately act on Han Shuo's instructions. They looked at Trunks as if waiting for him to express his opinion.
"Listen to him. From now on, his orders are my orders. You should remember that well!" Trunks had a stern face as he instructed carefully.
"Understood!" Grant's people were relieved of a great burden after they had put down their sacks. They hastily removed the large sacks from their backs and placed them in front of Han Shuo.
The weight of these large sacks filled with large and small pieces of broken stone was too much for an ordinary person to bear. Even for these mercenaries, the way back to the Soul Destroyer mercenary base would be an unfortunate, painful errand.
One white light flashed after another. All the large and small bags disappeared into Han Shuo's space ring. After everything was done, Han Shuo waved his hand and said, "Follow me, we'll block Janet's escape route. This time we will be the bandits and capture Janet.
Then let's do it that way. I need some clear answers!" Trunks immediately remembered Annie's business when Han Shuo mentioned Janet. His happy mood turned sad as he shouted with a darkened face.
Two of the three Yin Demons had returned, while the last one was closely following Janet's group of bandits, paying close attention to their every move. The Soul Destroyers were taking a shortcut to block Janet's path under Han Shuo's orders, but suddenly they spotted some suspicious behaviour from these people. Unexpectedly, Janet's gang laid an ambush where the House of Menlo would pass.
It seemed that Janet wanted to take advantage of the House of Menlo's heavy losses and make out like bandits!
