Chapter 194 - CHAPTER 194: Fighting The Blood Water Demons

The round pool was deep enough to hide a person's body. The green-coloured stones that formed it were cold to the touch, the biting chill penetrating deep into his bones.

Han Shuo could feel the abundant water qi within the well as he stood beside it. The two sinister presences within also stirred to action, possibly because they sensed the presence of living beings.

Han Shuo was overjoyed to discover that there was a place of extreme water at the bottom of a deep well in such a place. If he could refine all the zombies of the five elements, then the 'Great Formation of Divine Zombies and Five Elements' could be formed and unleash devastating power. Han Shuo had already found places of extreme earth and wood. If he added this extreme water place, he'd be one step closer to successfully achieving his goal.

As Han Shuo rejoiced, Phoebe suddenly frowned, "It seems to have gotten colder. You said this was a place of extreme water, what did you mean by that?"

Two bone-chilling waves of cold suddenly crawled out of the deep well. The well had been calm before the water became agitated and splashed everywhere. Clouds of white mist rose from the well and covered the courtyard.

"They're coming!" Han Shuo snorted coldly and grabbed Phoebe. He said seriously, "The water demons are coming out to cause trouble, be careful!"

The qi in the place of extreme water was extremely concentrated. If someone drowned here, their soul wouldn't disperse immediately. With the water qi supporting them, they would only need to absorb a small amount before they would become a water demon.

When water demons absorbed water qi, the strength of the soul would greatly increase and it could then use special powers to manipulate the water qi and attack living creatures that approached.

Han Shuo understood all of this when he was researching the ways to refine the elite zombies. Therefore, when he sensed the two sinister presences in the well, he immediately understood that two water demons had somehow been created.

What he didn't understand was how the little skeleton could sense this. What was it that attracted him?

The little skeleton wielded his bone dagger and stood beside the deep well, his eyes staring into it. Han Shuo didn't know what he was waiting for and what he wanted to buy.

The water qi crept through the courtyard in the form of a thick, dense mist. The surrounding scenery was also affected, becoming increasingly blurred and indistinct. The water qi was enveloped in the same eerie presence. It had been cold to begin with, and now the temperature was dropping even faster.

"I can't see anything!" Phoebe exclaimed in surprise.

"Those are the water demons, manipulating the water qi to form a water curtain. They're going to attack us through the curtain's cover!" Han Shuo said calmly from the side, calming Phoebe's wildly pounding heart.

Phoebe's vision was only at the level of an ordinary person. Even though she'd trained her combat aura, her eyes were barely sharper than an ordinary person's. There was a world of difference between her and a demon practitioner like Han Shuo.

That's why even though her vision was blurred, Han Shuo's eyes weren't affected at all. Silver lightning seemed to flash through his eyes as he calmly peered through the white mist.

Suddenly, the bubbling water inside the well shot out like a fountain. The clear droplets of water seemed to have a life of their own as they formed columns that churned towards Han Shuo and Phoebe.

A sinister and cold presence emanated from the well. Even with Han Shuo's resilient body, he too began to feel a chill. The columns of water were in a state between liquid and solid, reaching for Han Shuo and Phoebe's bodies like a pliable eel.

"Seeking death!" Han Shuo grinned rather ruthlessly.

Red spellfire suddenly burst into life in his hands like an evil fire that wanted to consume everything in its path, standing at attention in front of Han Shuo and Phoebe's bodies. The surrounding frosty presence immediately began to crack and crackle as the red spellfire appeared, its fiery heat spreading throughout the area and immediately warming Phoebe's body.

The hundreds of eel-like columns vaporised as they approached Han Shuo's red spellfire.

Two hideous, low roars sounded from within the well, like the last cries for help of a drowning person. Two red shapes shot out of it, seemingly made of red blood, constantly distorting in the air. Eventually, they settled into the shape of a man and a woman, but a shadow was still a shadow, and they had no visible features.

"Water blood demons!" Han Shuo began, looking at the two shadows questioningly.

Water demons dwelled in places with extreme amounts of water. If they harmed too many life forms, they would also absorb the blood.

Blood was also a liquid and had the same properties as water. The boiling blood of a lifeform near death held another kind of miraculous power. The Water Demons would absorb this blood, and when enough blood was absorbed, they would be able to evolve into the more powerful and cruel water Blood Demon.

When the water demons became blood water demons, they would not only be able to manipulate the water qi in places with extreme water, but they would even be able to manipulate the blood of living beings. They were very difficult to deal with, and Han Shuo was quite surprised to see two Water Blood Demons appear in front of him.

Unlike other bloodthirsty creatures, the Water Blood Demon could cover the smell of blood on their bodies with the power of water. That was why Han Shou could not smell the blood even with his sensitive nose.

The two Blood Water Demons emerged from the well and swayed in the air, lunging at Han Shuo and Phoebe like two bloody clouds. The evil power suddenly permeated the area around Han Shuo and Phoebe. Han Shuo immediately felt the blood in his body boil and seem to want to break free of his control.

He turned around to see that Phoebe was in even worse shape. Two streams of blood were already flowing from her nose and her charming face was quite dirty.

Cursing under his breath, Han Shuo grabbed Phoebe and threw her out with all his strength, yelling, "Go now!"

Phoebe had been thrown out whether she'd wanted to or not. As a swordmaster, Phoebe had incredible strength and Han Shuo wasn't worried that she would be injured when she landed. He was more worried that she wouldn't even have a chance to make a move against the two Blood Water Demons before she died of blood loss.

The blood in his body raged out of control and surged towards his orifices. Han Shuo pulled out the Demonslayer's Edge, but as it howled and stabbed into their bodies, it did them no harm.

The blood water demons were made of liquid, and no matter how sharp the Demonslayer Edge was, they would easily reform after he hacked them into different segments.

The two water demons continued to advance towards Han Shuo after reuniting. With the Blood Water Demon's abilities, once they covered his body, they would be able to drain his blood in an instant, turning him into a dry husk.

As a demon cultivator, the power in Han Shuo's blood wasn't something that any ordinary person or expert in this world could match.

The blood water demons seemed to have sensed this as well, and had set their sights on Han Shuo as their greatest source of nourishment, completely ignoring Phoebe. Not a single iota of their attention was given to her as they all focused completely on Han Shuo, proving the importance they placed on him.

His blood churned madly, the magical yuan doing its best to prevent the blood from flowing out of his body. The two forces restrained Han Shuo's body as his blood frothed, preventing Han Shuo from moving too much.

However, the power of the magical yuan was also demonstrated at this moment. As a swordsmaster, Phoebe had no defence whatsoever and her blood was already flowing freely out of her. However, Han Shuo was able to use his magical cultivation to firmly prevent his blood from flowing out. Although the defence was a bit difficult, he'd managed to prevent any of his blood from flowing out of his body so far.

The greedy blood water demons were finally about to cover Han Shuo. Trapped and unable to use his magical cultivation, he could only rely on his necromancy magic. The bone spear, the arrows, and the corpse explosion spell were unleashed one after the other, but they had no effect on the demons.

Han Shuo suddenly understood that the two Blood Water Demons could only be harmed by high-temperature flames. However, his magical yuan was completely occupied with preventing his blood from gushing out, and none of it could be spared for the Mystical Glacial Spellfire.

Damn it! Am I going to die at the hands of two Blood Water Demons? I really don't want that! Forget it, I should be able to use Mystical Glacial Spellfire even if I bleed to death. Since I've formed the Demon Infant, even if I lose all my blood and my body, I can still be reborn with it. I'll only be seriously injured, but it's much better than dying.

These thoughts ran through Han Shuo's mind as he made up his mind and decided that he would kill the two Blood Water Demons even if he was seriously injured.

Suddenly, a mysterious message was transmitted from the little skeleton, as if it understood Han Shuo's intentions. The little skeleton sent over a conscious feeling, anxiously begging Han Shuo to stop.

There were no specific words or language, just a message for Han Shuo to stop that he could clearly sense. He'd planned to make a move immediately, but he actually froze, thinking furiously.

There was only five or six metres between him and the Blood Water Demons. He couldn't move and could only stare ahead, unable to see a trace of the little skeleton.

If he didn't act now, he could be covered by his two enemies at any moment and have his blood sucked out in an instant. His body would instantly cease to exist, and the demon infant would probably not be able to escape either. His entire being would vanish without a trace.

The little skeleton anxiously begged Han Shuo to stop, making him unsure whether or not to proceed with his plan. As he saw the two Blood Water Demons closing in on him, he sighed lightly and made a decision that he didn't know if it was right or not - he would trust the little skeleton!

His eyes suddenly became determined as he threw away his previous plans. Han Shuo stood where he was, not making a move, just waiting for the little skeleton and risking his life.

The two Blood Water Demons finally enveloped him and Han Shuo could no longer control his blood from gushing out of his orifices like tidal waters.

A deep wave of despair suddenly rose in Han Shuo's heart, but he didn't hate the little skeleton, he trusted it. He had no regrets even if he really did die here.

Suddenly, Han Shuo's rapid blood loss stopped, as if someone had stepped on the brakes. The mysterious force controlling his blood suddenly vanished without a trace, and Han Shuo's magical yuan once again flowed smoothly throughout his body. Everything returned to normal as his blood calmed down.

The two blood water demons began to thrash violently in front of him. Han Shuo could read the expression they wanted to express from their violent twists and turns - fear!

Han Shuo's body could move freely now that his blood had returned to normal. He looked up and saw some bone spurs sticking out of the two bloodstained bodies. The little skeleton stared at him with empty eye sockets as its body crouched slightly, two leg bones stomping firmly on the blood water demons as all seven bone spurs were firmly embedded in them.

Streaks of bloody splendour quickly flowed through the seven bone spurs into the little skeleton's body. The seven bone spurs that had appeared to be dull flickered with an enchanting red light as the broken ribs in front of the little skeleton rearranged themselves with a speed that Han Shuo could see, also glowing with a bloody light.

In contrast, the two blood water demons that had been a vibrant blood red suddenly faded as their colour quickly surged towards where the bone spurs were stuck in their bodies. The two blood water demons slowly turned a ghastly white, and Han Shuo could feel all of the qi they'd been collecting for who knew how long flowing rapidly into the little skeleton's body, along with its life force and blood.

This situation didn't last long. When the blood water demons had turned a ghastly white, their bodies turned into two puddles of water with a splashing sound and fell to the ground.

The fog that had enveloped the courtyard was swept away by the wind, and the waning moon cast a red light over the courtyard, giving it a hint of desolate beauty.

A crash. The little skeleton fell out of the air, having lost its support after the two Bloodwater Demons disappeared.

As he reached out to rub his head, the little skeleton's empty eye sockets met Han Shuo's. A wave of joy travelled from the little skeleton to Han Shuo's heart, and his originally bright red body began to change again. Every bone had glistened with blood red splendour, but now it'd returned to its original pure white colour.

Since the little skeleton had been summoned and refined as a magical treasure, its skeleton had gone from inky black to blood red. Now he'd changed back, but the stark white of the little skeleton's bones was obviously very different from that of a normal skeleton warrior.

His bones were translucent and as pure as beautiful jade. It even seemed to glow with a dazzling light, causing Han Shuo's mind to race with different thoughts.

Han Shuo finally understood why the little skeleton had stopped in front of the shop and hadn't moved. It must have been attracted by the energy of the Blood Water Demon!

Han Shuo remembered that the last time the Calamity Church necromancer Clarendon had used fresh blood to summon the Three-Eyed Demon God in Bob Ascher's slave trading house. The blood had ended up being absorbed by the little skeleton. Perhaps that was why the blood water demons could hide the scent of blood from Han Shuo, but they couldn't do the same to the little skeleton, and that was why he had stopped in front of the shop.

As Han Shuo thought in silence, another glimmer of consciousness came from the little skeleton. In fact, it was urging him to return to the other side and Han Shuo could clearly sense his ardent desire for revenge.

After absorbing the power of the two Blood Water Demons, the little skeleton had undergone a significant transformation. Not only had his injuries from the previous battle healed, but his abilities seemed to have increased as well. That was why he was so confident now.

The little skeleton's fighting spirit and desires were quite strong. Han Shuo hesitated for a moment, feeling that no particular problems would arise if he kept some of his mind on the situation. He then used the necromancy spell to send the little skeleton back to the mysterious plane once again.
