Chapter 121 - Chapter 121: Turns Out It Was Our Own People

Duke used a levitation spell to get to where the two of them were hiding and inspected the four surroundings for any sign of anything out of the ordinary. Erick, the senior swordsman, also rushed in from a distance and carefully poked his head through the bushes. He raised his head towards Duke in the sky, "Mister Duke, nothing unusual here!"

The Wind Archmage Duke closed his eyes and said nothing, concentrating and listening to the wind as if trying to get some clues.

In the thick growth of branches and leaves, Han Shuo and Emily were completely hidden. Their surroundings were also covered by a grey magical wall of the dark major arts. The Dark Major Magics were shrouded in mystery and adept at hiding traces of movement. As a fellow Archmage, it would be difficult for Duke to detect the dark magical wall she had erected.

After a low exclamation, Emily looked at Han Shuo in utter amazement. "How did you do that?"

With a grave expression on his face, Han Shuo looked at Duke hovering in the distance and made a cautious gesture, indicating to Emily not to speak and to alert Duke and Erick.

Reaching out with a finger to touch Han Shuo's forehead, Emily smiled. "What are you hiding and afraid of? There are thick branches and leaves hiding our whereabouts. The wall I just put up is sound-insulating. Even if Duke is a wind archmage, he won't be able to hear a thing we say. What are you worried about?"

Emily had spoken several times, but Duke, standing in the distance, was still listening with his eyes closed. It looked as if he really hadn't discovered anything. With a sigh of relief, Han Shuo grabbed Emily's outstretched finger and bit it, causing her to roll her eyes at him with a flushed face.

"Speak, how did you do that?" Emily, her face bright red, stared at Han Shou as she asked.

At that moment, Emily was leaning against Han Shuo's left side, half of her body pressed against him. Her full breast rested on Han Shuo's left arm and her long, smooth thigh pressed tightly against his waist. Emily, with an extremely amorous expression on her face, was an uncontrollable temptation for Han Shuo, who had just gotten his first taste of the pleasures between man and woman.

With a low chuckle, Han Shuo said, "So there's a soundproofing effect. Heh heh, we haven't done it on a tree yet!

Han Shuo grabbed Emily as soon as he'd finished speaking and moved to position her behind his waist. He immediately began to ravage her with his hands as Emily's face and neck immediately turned red from Han Shuo's actions and the finger he'd just bitten. She said, "Duke is downstairs and Erick is watching from downstairs as well. We can't do this! It's too embarrassing!"

"Don't worry, that's what makes it exciting. Heh heh!" When Han Shuo had torn off Emily's shirt, his mouth came close to her earlobes and he kissed her tenderly as he chuckled wickedly in a low voice.

After this series of teases, Emily couldn't hold back any longer and let out a tantalising moan from her sweet lips. She forgot everything they'd been talking about and didn't care that they were in a large tree with two enemies watching them. Voluntarily, she put a hand inside Han Shuo's shirt as her well-rounded bottom searched for the right position.

"Ah... " Both of them let out a pleasant cry as he entered.

After a while, when Emily's body had gone completely soft and she'd screamed herself hoarse, everything began to calm down. Maintaining her position, Emily stretched out on Han Shuo's chest, tracing small circles with her index finger. She asked again, "How did you do that?"

By this time, the Wind Archmage Duke and Erick had long since left. An original demon followed far behind them, relaying everything it reacted to into Han Shuo's mind. Since the two of them had come with the intention of finding the Cemetery , their speed wasn't that fast. It would be difficult for them to escape the original demon's surveillance in such a short time, so Han Shuo was in no hurry.

His large hand unconsciously roamed over Emily's naked back, Han Shuo asked, "How did I do what?"

"I'm a dark grand archmage and I didn't notice when the Duke approached us. You're only a minor necromancer, how could you detect this disturbance? Besides, you're a mage, but your dexterity and skill in climbing that tree was more ridiculous than an ordinary swordsman. I've also seen you adjust your breathing and heartbeat. What's going on?" Emily let out a light exhalation of pleasure after she'd calmed down from Han Shuo's movements and asked him sideways.

After remaining silent for a while, Han Shuo said, "Apart from training in necromancy magic, I'm also training in a miraculous martial arts technique. This miraculous technique is different from ordinary martial aura. Therefore, I can be considered a mage swordsman. All the special points you just saw are due to this martial arts technique."

Her body slightly straightened, Emily looked at Han Shuo in astonishment, "Such a miraculous martial arts technique exists? Then you can fight like a swordsman?"

Nodding, Han Shuo said in the affirmative, "Of course." His forehead then wrinkled as he looked at Emily in confusion. "How do you know these two?"

It was Emily's turn to be silent after his question. She hesitated, then said slowly, "I haven't told you everything about me because I was afraid I'd get you in trouble. I'm actually someone from the Lancelot Empire, and this time I was escorting the McGrady Guild's contraband from the Brut Merchant Alliance because I was investigating something. I wanted to get to the bottom of who was receiving this batch of resources to be used in the war.

"Truth be told, I belong to a secret organisation. Duke and Erick have come to the Empire this time with an unspeakable secret, and their actions threaten the very existence of the Empire. Therefore, our organisation is taking action against them. Although I wasn't in the Empire, I have the clearance level to know everything that happens.

"I also saw the head shots of Duke and Erick in the organisation's files. The Organisation sends people to shadow their movements. The Organisation said that they might show up at the borders of the Empire, so they wanted me to return to the Empire through the border. I've paid a lot of attention, that's why I know so much. Even though our organisation gives everyone their own space and doesn't usually interfere in the lives of its members, there's still no advantage to knowing too much.

The soft and gentle voice emanated from Emily's mouth as she calmly revealed the whole matter and her identity. After all this, Han Shuo suddenly showed a strange smile that scared Emily. She wondered if something was wrong with him.

"What is it? Are you scared? Don't worry, our organisation answers to His Majesty the King and exists solely for the security of the Empire. We don't interfere in the lives of our members, and I don't think they pose any threat to you. Oh, are you afraid of me? Are you ready to throw me away?" Emily explained at first, but then felt a bit scared when she saw Han Shuo's strange smile. This man had gotten everything from her and was quite cute when he acted bad. He had helped her heart enjoy the past few days in peace, so she wasn't going to let him go, no matter what. Emily's heart raced.

Beneath Emily's worry and anxiety, her previously reddened and flushed face appeared full of fear and trepidation. By the time she got to the end, her voice was choking. No matter how strong or mature a woman was, when she gave her body and heart to a man, she would show weakness and timidity before the man who had given her everything. Emily was no exception, of course.

After a while, Han Shuo said with a shadow of a smile, "Your organisation is called the Dark Mantle, right?"

Her heart pounding with fear, Emily's body stiffened as she looked at Han Shuo in astonishment and shock. She asked, "How do you know that?"

His space ring lit up, the iron medallion that represented his identity as a member of the Dark Mantle suddenly appeared in Han Shuo's hand. Han Shuo said to Emily, "Because I'm also a member of the Dark Mantle!"

Emily, "..."

"Heh heh, who would have thought that we would be colleagues? Hurry up and let me see your medallion and let me know what rank you are?" Han Shuo chuckled strangely as he took Emily's small hand and caressed her space ring with his finger.

"You wicked little brat!" Emily blanked for a moment and suddenly began to giggle happily, sprawling on Han Shuo's chest with tears of joy. She reached out and ran her hand over Han Shuo's chest. As Han Shuo breathed out comfortably, her teeth suddenly snapped and she began to squeal at Han Shuo.

"See if you dare to bully me again, humph!" Emily chuckled with pride as she saw Han Shuo scream in fright. She glared at Han Shuo fiercely before retreating.

Feeling that the distance between them and the original demon following Duke was growing, Han Shuo suddenly pulled down his shirt and also looked at Emily before saying, "Let's follow Duke and see what he's up to?"

As Han Shuo finished speaking, Emily recited an incantation in a low voice and the grey air that had surrounded them suddenly disappeared without a trace. As Han Shuo poked his head out of the leaves and grabbed Emily, he leapt straight down from the tree amidst her screams. He landed firmly in the bushes at the back, causing no damage to Emily's body.

Han Shuo and Emily exchanged some information with the help of the original demon Duke. Han Shuo also told Emily about his recent experiences in the Dark Forest. However, he chose what he could say and still concealed what he needed to conceal.

"A minion of the Third Dark Star, you must listen to me in the future or I can punish you directly!" When she knew that Han Shuo was just a lowly Third Dark Star, Emily continued to lightly tease Han Shuo along the way. Candide, one of the three heavyweights of the Dark Mantle, was at the highest level of the Fifth Dark Sun. Emily was already a Third Dark Sun, so her status within the Dark Mantle would surely be very high. No wonder she had the authority to know so much.

"Who would have thought that you were a Third Dark Sun! Heh heh, so what if you are? You're still conquered by my power! You live when I want you to live, you die when I want you to die." Han Shuo slapped Emily's bottom with the palm of his hand and laughed happily.

"You rude, despicable little brat! I'm going to tame you completely and make you answer to me sooner or later!" Emily's hand, which had been wrapped around Han Shuo's arm, suddenly pinched him hard, and she wasn't the least bit angry at Han Shuo's rudeness.

His body suddenly froze as Han Shuo discovered through the original demon that Duke and Erick had indeed discovered traces of the cemetery. Duke kept circling the area around the cemetery with a frown on his face as if he'd discovered something.

Emily stopped when Han Shuo stopped and looked at him questioningly, opening her mouth to ask, "What now? Are you angry with me because I said I would tame you? You know I'm joking!"

Han Shuo shook his head and said quietly, "Should we kill Duke and the other one?"

"Let's not for now. If I'm guessing correctly, the old fox Candide must be planning to thoroughly understand Duke's intentions. That's why he's still alive. Otherwise, there's no way the two of them could leave Lancelot's realm alive. You've just joined the Dark Mantle, so you don't know how strong the organisation is. It's impossible for a wind archmage and a senior swordsman to escape the hand of that cunning fox Candide. Emily thought deeply and then opened her mouth to explain to Han Shuo.

"I actually understand, because I answer directly to Candide!" Han Shuo said in a low voice.

Covering her surprise and looking at Han Shuo, Emily said lightly, "You're joking! You're only a Third Dark Star! You don't even have the right to be led by him?"

Shrugging his shoulders, Han Shuo said, "If you don't believe me, you can check the internal information of the Dark Mantle. I was trained directly by Candide, and he said that I would be under his command in the future. That's how it is."

Emily believed Han Shuo after his words. She stroked his cheek as she said, "You are quite something. How did the old fox fall for you?"

"Let's not talk about that, we should hurry and follow them. I think Duke and them are planning something." Han Shuo said suddenly and pulled Emily in the direction of Duke and Erick.

Using the original demon's vision, Han Shuo discovered that Duke and Erick were circling the outside of the cemetery. It looked as if Duke had actually discovered something. He changed the magic incantations and unleashed several Grim Wind spells. They howled around the edge of the cemetery, trying to discover something.

Just at that moment, the hidden original demon spotted someone crouching in the bushes. This man was dressed in dark brown clothing, the colour of which blended into the trees. He lay motionless, and it would be difficult to spot him if you didn't look closely.

His clothing and actions clearly indicated that he was after Duke and Erick. From the information he'd just received from Emily, Han Shuo's thoughts raced and he immediately understood that this man was probably someone the Dark Mantle had sent to keep an eye on Duke and Erick.

The Grim Wind spells blew randomly, tearing through everything around them. When one of the Grim Wind spells blew over, it happened to hit him. Even though the man was crouched on the ground and didn't move, a bloody gash was carved into his body and he involuntarily screamed in pain.

"Who is it?" The sensitivity of Duke's ears was beyond belief as he heard a cry of pain from so far away. He'd been standing in the bushes, but suddenly he used the levitation spell again to float through the air and head straight for where the person was.

Seeing that he'd been made, the person immediately stood up and planned to leave the area in a hurry. However, as a Wind Archmage, Duke's speed was obviously faster than this person's. He'd arrived behind the person with a whoosh as soon as he'd activated the levitation spell.

"You Dark Mantle people again, you really linger and refuse to leave. You've found me even in the Dark Forest! I must say, you Dark Mantle people are truly infinitely resourceful!" Duke said with a slight smile and chanted an incantation.

A great wind suddenly appeared in front of the Dark Mantle member who was trying to leave, blocking his path. The howling wind formed blades of wind and crisscrossed as they shot towards the Dark Mantle member.

As his body hit the obstacle, a dagger appeared in his hand as he nimbly dodged in the bushes, avoiding most of the attacks from the wind blades. He then waved the dagger in defence against the other blades. Explosions rang out, and although his dagger deflected some of the blades, two deep gashes of blood appeared on his legs.

"Oh no, the observer from our organisation who was keeping an eye on their movements seems to have been caught. We should hurry over there. You take care of Duke and I'll take care of Senior Swordsman Erick." Han Shuo was deathly afraid that the Cemetery of Death would be revealed, so he planned to use Emily's power to kill Duke and Erick once and for all. He immediately screamed as he saw this situation developing.

Emily's expression immediately changed when she heard Han Shuo's words. A grey robe suddenly appeared, covering her entire body. She also cast the levitation spell and flew out after muttering "be careful" to Han Shuo.

Apart from serving within the Dark Mantle, many within the organisation had other identities. Therefore, they would not show their true faces to others unless there was no other way. This was the basic modus operandi of all Dark Mantle members.

When Emily left, Han Shuo also took out a grey robe to cover his entire body as two of the original demons flew towards Duke, while the other one closely followed Erick. Han Shuo was quite familiar with this area as he had swooped down from another path and planned to intercept Erick and get rid of him halfway.

Han Shuo's injuries had mostly healed by now and his Magical Yuan had increased greatly after his last experience of entering a demonic trance. With his magical yuan now circulating, it gave Han Shuo a feeling of being free of inhibitions.

When Erick heard the Duke's voice, he grabbed his long sword and quickly but cautiously approached the same spot. As he reached an uneven hill, Han Shuo, who'd been lying in wait, suddenly chanted a magical incantation. A bone spear suddenly shot towards Erick, and a crossbow twanged as the bone spear materialised.

As the crossbow bolt shot out, Han Shuo's body also shot out like lightning. Seeing these two attacks coming towards him, Erick completely lost his composure as he panicked and used a very practical yet extremely ugly roll to move out of the way, not caring about how he looked.

The ugly method was quite useful as he dodged Han Shuo's two waves of attacks. Erick then appeared directly in front of Han Shuo and lunged forward with a sword imbued with dark green combat aura. Han Shuo hastily pulled out the Demonslayer Edge, but his hand shook slightly from the impact.

Erick also grunted, but didn't really take the opportunity to follow up. He stood up and ran in Duke's direction.

Snorting slightly, Han Shuo grabbed his Demonslayer Edge and quickly followed. Another Original Demon watching Duke noticed that Emily had already exchanged blows with Duke and it appeared that she had the upper hand. Unfortunately, she seemed to be a few steps too late, as the member of the Dark Mantle already had multiple lacerations all over his body. He appeared to be dead.

"Master Duke, I'm going!" Erick shouted loudly, charging over with his sword raised. Duke's facial expression flickered rapidly in the midst of his battle with Emily, but when he saw Han Shuo chasing after Erick, the staff in his hand suddenly shook as he unleashed a hurricane spell, lifting Han Shuo's charging body and hurling it into the distance.

At that moment, the Eye of Darkness that had been stored in Han Shuo's space ring actually flew out of the ring automatically, flashing green light and opening the boundary that protected the Cemetery of death. Han Shuo's body also landed inside the cemetery with a thud.

"Oh my god, it really is the cemetery of death!" Duke was about to turn around and deal with Emily when he saw the green light explode in the air, revealing the bizarre view of the cemetery. He instantly screamed with joy and rushed over, paying no attention to anything else.

Erick and Emily were both incredulous. They stared at first, stunned, then sprinted forward with all their might before the boundary to the cemetery closed again.
