Chapter 104 - Chapter 104: Creating A Team For An Adventure

"We are not too hopeful about finding the Fruit of Dagmar, so we are just going to try our luck in the depths of the southern parts of the Dark Forest. All we know is that someone once saw this fruit somewhere, but we're not sure if it was the Fruit of Dagmar, or if it has already been taken by others. Have you really decided to join us on this expedition in search of the unknown?" Odysseus looked at Han Shuo and explained seriously before asking him.

Han Shuo knew that this group of people didn't have much security after hearing Odysseus' words, but he thought about it and felt that he didn't seem to have much to do at the moment and would just return to the cemetery of death to engage in endless rounds of training to improve himself. If he was lucky enough to obtain the 'Divine Brain Fruit', then Han Shuo's 'Moulded Spirit' realm would be greatly increased.

Increasing his realm meant that it would also benefit Han Shuo's mental strength. Therefore, Han Shuo thought seriously and felt that it was worth taking the risk.

Nodding, Han Shuo looked at Odysseus and said firmly, "Yes, I would like to go with you into the depths of the southern part of the Dark Forest, but if we are indeed able to discover the 'Fruit of Dagmar', I would like to receive one as well."

"Since you insist, we're very happy to have you with us. I'm just trying my luck for the 'Fruit of Dagmar', so don't get your hopes up. Our main goal is to venture into the Dark Forest, because it's said that there are even more tempting items hidden in its depths. Heh heh, if we find the 'Fruit of Dagmar', we only need one to fulfil our mission, you can take the rest, no problem". Odysseus smiled.

The deeper one went into the Dark Forest, the greater the danger. The real danger would only reveal itself slowly. There were even stronger magical creatures, some mystical races and all kinds of deadly plants.

But amidst the danger, there were also various enticing riches and fortunes to be found. Some exotic plants would only grow in the deeper parts, and many would fetch high prices. There were also many things that could be sold from the bodies of level one, two and three magical creatures, but the caveat was that you had to kill them first.

The two sides came to an agreement and didn't linger any longer. Odysseus introduced Han Shuo to his other companions and the group of seven made their way deeper into the area.

The sacred ground protected by the forest trolls was not far ahead. The forest troll warriors stood guard over the area. Although there were still some riches inside the holy ground, Han Shuo already considered it his personal property. So, under Han Shuo's direction, the group avoided the area and continued on after a small detour.

They didn't run into much danger after a day's walk, and they all set up camp on the banks of a river as night fell. They shoveled out some of the lush bushes in the area and Aphrodite took some tents from the space ring she wore on her hand, similar to Han Shuo's. Everyone set up their tents, made a fire and started cooking food.

Fat fish were swimming in the clear water of the river. As a water mage, Aphrodite cast a small water magic and caught about ten fish. Everyone used their homemade wooden forks to spear the fat fish and began to fry them.

After everyone had eaten the fully cooked fish and talked for a while around the campfire, everyone went to their own tents to sleep. The female elven archer and the water mage Aphrodite slept in one tent, while the four males slept two to a tent. Han Shuo eagerly volunteered to take the watch and found a secluded place to train his magical yuan once everyone had entered the tents and settled down.

With three original demons by his side, Han Shuo didn't need to pay much attention, but training his magical yuan was the foundation of Han Shuo's future development, so he couldn't let up for a second. He withstood the onslaught of sudden pain and pleasure in his mind and silently sank into his training.

It wasn't until the second half of the night that a sudden, strange noise startled Han Shuo out of his training. He raised his hand to wipe the sweat from his brow as everything his three original demons had been watching fell into his vision. One of the original demons left its post and flew towards the source of the sound, quickly approaching the source in the night.

A twin-headed dragon staggered in from the distance. Fresh green blood flowed from one of its necks, and it appeared to have been badly injured. It flew swiftly towards them, regardless of direction. Although a twin-headed dragon wasn't a true dragon, it was still a powerful level two magical beast. Han Shuo didn't know why it was so bedraggled and had to flee for its life.

One of the original demons kept an eye on the twin-headed dragon's movements, another split off and raced back in the direction the twin-headed dragon had come from, trying to see what was out there that had caused the injured twin-headed dragon to flee. It was a pity that Han Shuo hadn't discovered anything after the original demon had flown a certain distance.

When he saw that the disoriented twin-headed dragon was heading their way, Han Shuo immediately got up and ran quickly towards the people's tents, shaking their tent poles and shouting loudly, "Wake up, something's happening!

Deeply asleep, the adventurers all groggily heard Han Shuo's shouts and quickly put on their clothes and left the tents within ten seconds. Winter was about to set in, and the night temperature was freezing. The six adventurers were tightly wrapped, with only their faces peeking out.

Since Han Shuo's surveillance had been conducted by the original demons, the six people still couldn't see anything out of the ordinary, even though the two-headed dragon was rapidly approaching. Odysseus looked around in confusion and then back at Han Shuo, "Everything seems very orderly, what's the situation?"

"A two-headed dragon is five hundred metres north of our position and approaching quickly. I believe it will be a danger to us and we must prepare immediately." Han Shuo didn't have time to explain much to them and immediately spoke the truth.

Gordon didn't seem to believe Han Shuo's words and was about to open his mouth in doubt when Odysseus suddenly said in a low voice, "If that's the case, we'll make preparations immediately. The temper of a twin-headed dragon is violent and not kind to humans. I think it will bring us trouble if it discovers our presence.

The female archer took out two arrows and said with some concern, "A twin-headed dragon is a level two magical creature. Not only can it spray poison, but the two heads can attack directly with sharp teeth. It will be a tough fight for us!"

Han Shuo took out his crossbow and climbed onto a nearby large tree, saying quickly, "Don't worry, this twin-headed dragon has already been injured. It can't even fly now. If we prepare ourselves properly, it won't be able to escape at all.

The group of people looked at each other in the eyes after Han Shuo had spoken, all of them showing an expression of surprise. If the twin-headed dragon hadn't been injured, it would have been difficult for the team of adventurers to fight against it, but if it couldn't even fly after being injured, it meant that the twin-headed dragon was quite badly injured. This was an opportunity they couldn't afford to miss.

Full of overjoyed surprise, some of them climbed into tall trees like Han Shuo, while others hid in the shadows of the trees. They all drew their weapons or concentrated their mental strength to prepare themselves to deal with the two-headed dragon with a terrible sense of direction.

A rustling sound came from the bushes it passed, and the injured twin-headed dragon finally appeared in everyone's vision to great anticipation.

Gordon, who had previously doubted Han Shuo's judgement, gave him an admiring look in the distance and grabbed his longsword with excitement, intending to strike the twin-headed dragon with a swift attack.

The twin-headed dragon, with its poor sense of direction, finally crashed headlong into the wall of water that Aphrodite had erected. The enormous impact caused Aphrodite's wall of water to turn into numerous drops in the air.

At the same time, Han Shuo and Nia (the female elf archer) attacked almost simultaneously. Han Shuo could not fire the crossbow in quick succession, so the bolt he fired landed on the back of the twin-headed dragon's neck. Nia sent out three arrows, and apart from dodging the first one, the other two were all pinned to its forehead.

The journeyman thundermage in the group shot out a ring of lightning to strike at the twin-headed dragon's back. The three warriors who'd been lying in wait for a while seized the opportunity to rush out and charge at the twin-headed dragon, unleashing their combat aura to attack ferociously.

Up ahead, Aphrodite created two more water creatures to attract the Twin-Headed Dragon's attention and give Han Shuo and the archer Nia more opportunities to attack.

This way, the level two magical creature, the twin-headed dragon, didn't even have time to spray poison under the heavy barrage. He'd already been wounded and finally fell listlessly in his blood.

The adventurers were incredibly excited when they saw that they'd killed the twin-headed dragon, and they came out of their hiding places cheering and preparing to remove the trophies from the twin-headed dragon's body.

At this moment, Han Shuo's face suddenly changed drastically and he suddenly shouted fiercely, "Hurry up and leave this place! The person who was pursuing the twin-headed dragon is heading this way, and we have no chance of winning a fight against him!"
