Fitch was completely destroyed this time. He was mercilessly dragged away under everyone's curses and scornful looks as he kept shouting, "This is an evil plot! I have been framed!" Vida said to Fanny before he left, "That filthy piece of scum will never be seen at the Academy again!"
Everyone continued to discuss Fitch's despicable actions long after he'd been dragged away. The anger of some of the female students hadn't subsided yet, as they chattered and cursed at Fitch. No one felt sorry for him.
Fanny was a little taken aback. She hadn't expected Fitch to be such a person. She even suspected the truth a little, but the truth was right in front of her and she had nothing to say. All she could do was shake her head and sigh.
Of course, with the thief caught, Han Shuo didn't have to worry about his space ring being searched. He laughed coldly inside as he watched Fitch fall into his own trap. He had asked for it and couldn't blame Han Shuo for being ruthless. If Han Shuo hadn't discovered this earlier, he would most likely be the one now facing the jeers and taunts of the crowd.
This matter had the students buzzing with excitement and discussion all day long, but Han Shuo didn't get involved. He didn't attend any classes in the morning, instead he went to the training grounds alone and practised summoning zombie warriors over and over again.
Since his direction was correct, all he needed was time. After a morning of repeated practice, he finally successfully summoned a zombie warrior. This meant that Han Shuo had added another powerful spell to his arsenal. Manipulating zombies was much more difficult than manipulating skeletal warriors. In order to fully exploit the extraordinary offensive capabilities of the buff and clumsy zombies, the technique and familiarity of the manipulator was even more critical.
For the next three days, Han Shuo stayed within the training grounds and practised controlling the zombies with more familiarity. Standing in the middle of the various obstacles within the training ground, Han Shuo summoned a zombie that wielded a heavy iron club. Under the control of Han Shuo's mental power, the zombie twisted its body and dodged some of the obstacles. The iron club in its hand crashed down on a target under Han Shuo's guidance.
Han Shuo carefully watched the Dark Major's old witch, Camilla. During these two days, the old witch had visited the headmaster's office once, but strong magical impulses were present in the headmaster's office. Han Shuo was certain that there was a magical boundary within the principal's office.
As a Grand Magus of Space Magic, the principal possessed extraordinary magic. Han Shuo didn't dare send his original demons into her office to eavesdrop. Therefore, he had no way of knowing what Camilla had discussed with the Headmaster, and he didn't know if Camilla had already visited the secret library or not.
However, judging by the amount of time Camilla had spent in the Headmaster's office, Han Shuo felt that Camilla hadn't paid a visit yet, as she walked out a few minutes after entering the office.
"You're in the training grounds, I knew I'd find you here." Han Shuo had stayed on the training grounds this morning while the others listened to the lecture in the classroom. Fanny suddenly walked in and spoke to him.
"What are you doing here? Don't you only have classes in the afternoon?" Han Shuo didn't stop practicing after Fanny walked in and just answered carelessly, continuing to manipulate the zombie to move around another obstacle.
"I was looking for you. Eh, you've caught on pretty quick. Heh heh, judging by the speed of your improvement, I think you'll be able to move on to the next level soon." Fanny smiled faintly and complimented him when she saw that Han Shuo could already skilfully control zombies.
She paused, knitted her thin eyebrows, and then asked confusedly, "Bryan, although your potential is quite good, the speed at which you concentrate your mental power shouldn't be so fast. Meditating on Mental Strength doesn't have much to do with the quality of your potential, especially when you're just starting out. Mental power increases slowly through accumulation over many months and years. How is it that you can have the mental power of a beginner magician after only a few months? This is quite queer, just how are you doing it?"
It was natural for Fanny to be perplexed. Han Shuo's mental strength had increased rapidly, mainly due to the effects of the 'Eye of Darkness'. Han Shuo would improve at a rapid pace without rhyme or reason whenever his mind was about to split open from pain. Now that his magical yuan had reached the 'moulded Spirit' stage, the potential of his brain had been unlocked and the speed at which he gathered mental strength increased even further when he meditated. With the overlapping effects of his training, it would have been difficult for his mental strength not to increase in concentration speed.
Shrugging his shoulders, Han Shuo said, "How should I know? My body is quite strange to begin with. Not only am I much stronger than ordinary mages, but the speed at which I gather mental energy when I meditate is also quite fast."
"Could it be that you possess the legendary body of divine favour?" At first, Fanny was stunned, a look of extreme joy appearing on her face as she spoke with excitement.
Han Shuo was also taken aback by her words. He asked blankly, "What is a divine favour body?"
"There are extremely few people in this world who are born with bodies that are different from others. It's rare for even one of them to appear out of ten thousand people. Their bodies are different from those of ordinary people. Some of them have a natural aptitude for training martial aura, and some of them are born to be magicians".
"When these people can find the right realm for themselves, their achievements are often incredibly brilliant. Because these people's bodies are different from those of ordinary people, legends say that they've attracted the favour of the gods. Some of the continent's most outstanding personalities now possess these divinely favoured bodies. Could it be that you're one of them?" An inexplicable light of excitement danced in Fanny's eyes as she stared at Han Shuo and exclaimed in surprise.
"Perhaps!" Han Shuo knew that the peculiarities of his body were entirely due to the training of magical yuan. It probably had nothing to do with a body of divine favour. Of course, Han Shuo couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation. If he was tagged with such a label as a divine favour body, that would be a reasonable excuse.
After Fanny finished being excited, her face suddenly became solemn and she said, "If this is true, then you can't tell anyone until you are strong enough. This body of divine favour may bring you untold riches and glory, but it may also lead to your murder by those with evil intentions before you're fully mature."
Han Shuo understood Fanny's words completely. If it was as she said, this kind of person would be a priceless treasure for any country, and would be a target for seizure between countries. Some would also try to destroy this kind of potential at any cost. Therefore, people with such bodies were actually quite dangerous.
Nodding to indicate his understanding, Han Shuo avoided the subject and asked Fanny, "You said you were looking for me earlier, is something wrong?"
"I mentioned a test to you last time. It's conducted to understand the true strength of all students and to record the current level of the students from mage apprentice to mage adept. Our academy has the authority to confirm the levels and these levels will be recorded in the files of the Magic Association and will follow you for the rest of your life. It's also a symbol of your strength and identity.
"You will be considered a graduate of the Academy when you have passed the Adept level. In the future, if you wish to confirm your strength after increasing it, you will have to pass the specialised exams of the Magic Association. For a mage, a verified and defined level is the certificate for your future development, so it's quite useful. Fanny explained with a smile when she saw Han Shuo inquiring about this.
"So this is the case, when will the test begin?"
"Tomorrow morning. When the students feel that their strength has increased, they will voluntarily participate in this test. You've never taken the test before, so I think it won't be too difficult for you to pass the test for beginners. I've already enrolled you. The test will take place early tomorrow morning on the dark main training track. I'll be there too, so don't forget." Fanny reminded Han Shuo.
"No problem."
"Oh, right, Bryan, the 'Corpse Reanimation' and 'Canopy of Necromancy' magics you mentioned to me last time, never, ever tell anyone about them, no matter how you obtained them, and don't use them in front of anyone. These magics can bring you a lot of trouble before your strength is strong enough, do you understand?" Fanny suddenly gravely reminded Han Shuo before when she was about to leave.
Han Shuo understood even without Fanny's reminder. He nodded and said, "Master Fanny, rest easy. I haven't mentioned it to anyone but you. I know you're quite good to me, so I told you without reservation. No one else can even think of gaining my confidence!"
"Who's good to you, you only know how to talk nonsense!" Fanny's face blushed as she looked a little happy. She walked out with a small smile after rolling her eyes at Han Shuo.
"Our beautiful and kind Master Fanny, with a perfect body of course!" Han Shuo said flirtatiously as he watched Fanny's departing figure, chuckling as he spoke.
However, Fanny paid no further attention to Han Shuo and finally said in a low voice just before she disappeared through the door, "You brat! You're getting more and more out of control."
Han Shuo didn't continue practicing zombie manipulation after Fanny left. He thought for a moment and left the training grounds, using the original demons to scout out the four corners, then moved to the hidden corner in the mountain tomb at the back of the academy grounds and returned to the Cemetery of death.
Since he had promised Lawrence that he would get him a piece of black iron ore, Han Shuo wouldn't go back on his word, even if it was just for the five thousand gold coins. He took the little skeleton down to the mine and spent the entire afternoon roaring and banging before he managed to extract a small piece of black iron ore. It looked like it would satisfy Lawrence's request.
The supply of black iron ore in the mining cave was not inexhaustible. As the mining progressed, Han Shuo discovered that he had to go deeper and deeper into the mine, and had to dig for quite some time before he found some black iron ore. Black iron ore was an extremely rare metal and this seemed to prove it. They'd only been digging for a short while and were already using up the supply.
He trained his magical Yuan for a while under the raging waterfall and suddenly remembered something on his way back to the Cemetery . There was something about zombies left behind in Chu Cang Lan's memories, and Han Shuo had also heard about the former existence of zombies in his original world.
As he carefully went through Chu Cang Lan's memories, Han Shuo suddenly felt a little uneasy. According to Chu Cang Lan's memories, zombies were only a lower form of existence. They were usually created when someone died in a place with a higher concentration of Yin Qi, and were formed after absorbing some of the Yin Qi of Heaven and Earth.
Low-level zombies were also a special kind of herd creature. If they happened to be buried in a place with a dense concentration of Yin Qi, and that place happened to be an extreme place of the five elements, there was a very small chance that they would turn into a very powerful zombie after absorbing the Yin Qi and rare resources of the extreme place of the five elements for many months and years.
According to the elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, the Five Extreme Places were divided into - Extreme Place of Metal, Extreme Place of Wood, Extreme Place of Water, Extreme Place of Fire, and Extreme Place of Earth. Once enough yin qi and power of the five elements were absorbed, there was a small chance that it would become an elite metal zombie, elite wood zombie, elite water zombie, elite fire zombie, and elite earth zombie.
When the five types of zombies were formed, their bodies were much stronger than ordinary zombies. The most miraculous thing was that after absorbing enough Yin Qi and the five elements, these zombies could use the powers of the five elements of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. When the five types of zombies gathered together, they would form the "Great Formation of Divine Zombies and the Five Elements", and their power would be incredibly terrifying.
However, these zombies were rare to begin with, and historically, they couldn't be controlled by anyone. In fact, they were hostile to each other and were hunted down by practitioners. Therefore, it was extremely difficult to create a scene where all five elemental zombies gathered together.
In Chu Cang Lan's memories, there were detailed descriptions of the five elemental zombies, including his secret methods to promote the birth of these zombies. He seemed to have researched the subject. When Han Shuo received all this, he felt like he'd received a priceless treasure and immediately wanted to refine these five types of elemental zombies.
With the restrictions of necromancy, once created, these zombies would obey Han Shuo without question. Han Shuo had long since discovered that the location of the Graveyard of Death was an extreme place on Earth. The other four extremes could be searched for slowly, he only lacked a few of the materials needed in Chu Cang Lan's secret methods to speed up the development of these zombies before he'd be able to refine the earth's elite zombies.
Han Shuo made up his mind immediately after this thought appeared, and he planned to try to see if he could refine these five unique zombies to create the 'Great Formation of Divine Zombies and the Five Elements'.
