Using Methods Used to Refine Demonic Treasures to Refine Skeletons.
"Bryan, I didn't believe them when they said you were crazy, but now even I'm a believer. You - are - really - crazy!" Jack twisted his fat neck, shook his head and sighed when he saw Han Shuo wearing a zealous expression and declaring his desire to get Fanny.
"Eh? These are the snacks that Bach used to seduce Lisa. Haha, what a stroke of luck! I've never tasted the delicacies that nobles always snack on!" Han Shuo spotted the snacks that Bach had forgotten in his haste to leave and immediately sprinted over. He picked up the intricately designed snack box without saying a word and began to munch on the contents without thinking twice.
He tutted in surprise as he ate, "Tsk tsk. These are delicious. The fight wasn't in vain. Here, I borrowed half a loaf of bread earlier, and now I'm returning a box of delicious snacks. You made out like a bandit!"
"But this is Bach's? "I beat up that punk, so it's mine now!"
Jack, "..."
Han Shuo also felt a bit strange about this development. He felt that ever since he'd arrived on the Profound Continent and started training his magic power, his appetite had grown and his personality had become bolder. He was doing things he hadn't dared to do before, and his desires were growing as well.
"Bryan and Jack! You're supposed to be cleaning the labs right now, but you haven't even finished cleaning the statues! If you get us into trouble, you'll be in trouble too!"
As Han Shuo and Jack were cooing over the wonderful taste of the exquisite snacks, two older errand boys came up behind them. The two were holding mops in their hands and began to harass Han Shuo and Jack, warning them to hurry to the labs and start cleaning.
These two errand boys were about twenty years old and over 170 cm tall. Their names were Borg and Carey, and they had gotten into the habit of bullying Han Shuo and Jack in recent years because the older boys were stronger. They even went so far as to shift some of their own responsibilities onto Bryan and Jack. Case in point? Cleaning the labs.
"Don't go!" Han Shou didn't pay any attention to them as he had wanted to get out of this for a long time. He felt stronger now and his confidence had soared since he hadn't lost any ground in his fight with Bach. In fact, he thought he felt a little too full and another fight would be just the thing to help with the digestion if the two of them kept it up.
"Hah, not going? Bryan, you've really gone mad, daring to talk back to me, the mighty Borg. Do you want me to knock some sense into you?" Borg clenched his right hand into a fist and gave a cold laugh as he stared at Han Shuo.
"Ah, my head hurts!" Han Shuo's body shook as he squatted on the ground and clutched his head. Jack was about to go to the labs to start cleaning up, but he stopped and stood motionless when he saw Han Shuo pulling the same trick again. He looked at Han Shuo expectantly.
"I don't care if you're really crazy or fake crazy, I'm going to beat you until you obey!" Carey's temper was even worse. He took three big steps forward and kicked in Han Shuo's direction.
It was then that Han Shuo let out a big "Aiya!" as he suddenly jumped up and hit Carey's right foot with his chest. Han Shuo let out a great cry of pain and wrapped his hands around Carey's foot, lifting it up and out of the way. It was Carey's turn to scream in pain as he stumbled to the side. His lips parted in a silent howl as he crashed into a statue.
Borg smiled faintly as he saw Carey rush towards Han Shuo, thinking that Han Shuo was in for it now. Who knew that although Han Shuo had taken a foot to the chest, Carey seemed to be even worse off.
"Huh? How dare you defend yourself, Bryan! Borg, let's get him together, we'll teach him a lesson today!" Carey climbed to his feet in considerable pain as he lunged at Han Shuo again, calling for Borg to join him.
Han Shuo continued to clutch his head and scream in pain as he thought, "I dared to hit even Bach, much less you two idiots. He flailed his arms and legs wildly, and even though he took a few hits, Carey and Borg weren't much better off.
Han Shuo was already used to being beaten, and had improved his body by circulating the magic yuan according to the laws of the solid realm. He had no problem at all with the fists of Carey and Borg. On the other hand, Carey and Borg's faces were already bruised in places. They looked worse, partly due to Han Shuo's improved strength.
The three messengers fought fiercely and wildly at the side of the road. Carey's and Borg's bodies began to ache more and more as the fight progressed, and their strength slowly diminished, while Han Shuo only felt a little pain and actually felt quite comfortable. It was as if he had endless strength, and he even began to fight more smoothly. In the end, it was Han Shuo who chased after Carey and Borg, pelting them with blows as they ran away with their tails between their legs.
"Hah! What a sweet fight! Jack, we won't be doing Carey and Borg's chores anymore. Tell me if they bother you again, I'll use them as a punching bag!"
Little Fatty Jack looked at Han Shuo admiringly as he tugged on Han Shuo's arm. Jack laughed out loud and said, "Bryan, you're amazing. You beat Carey and Borg all by yourself, how did you do it?"
Han Shuo pointed at himself and said cockily, "I have a brave heart!"
Han Shuo's head did not hurt even once over the next few days. For some unknown reason, Bach did not immediately take revenge on Han Shuo. Han Shuo and Jack refused to do Carey and Borg's work, but the two had nothing to say since they couldn't even win a fight where the odds were in their favour. Silently, they did what they were supposed to do.
With Carey and Borg taking over, Han Shuo suddenly had a lot more free time on his hands. During this time, he didn't ask Jack to 'borrow' any more magic books, but turned his attention to studying 'The Foundations of Necromancy' thoroughly in order to build up a solid knowledge base.
Han Shuo came to realise that his mental strength was quite weak after studying 'The Foundations of Necromancy' for so long. He began to concentrate and meditate every night after returning to the camp. The small skeleton was the weakest dark creature from the other dimension, and its intelligence was so low that it could only function according to the summoner's commands. Han Shuo had given it the order to stay in the warehouse during the day and only take out the garbage late at night.
Han Shuo was about to settle into his regular meditation that night when he suddenly recalled the memories that the old fart, Chu Can Lang, had left in his mind. Some of them had to do with mysterious records of the refining of demonic treasures. Han Shuo thought that although the demon magic he was training in was from a different world to the necromancy he was learning now, they were both dark magic and seemed to have a lot in common. Would it be possible to fuse the two?
As Han Shuo furrowed his brow and began to seriously search through the memories, he discovered that while Chu Cang Lan had left behind a treasure trove of memories, many of them were hazy and vague. It was like looking through a thin piece of marbled paper, and not everything was clear.
After a while of remembering, he suddenly remembered a method to refine demonic treasures. Han Shuo could only summon a weak skeleton due to his short study of necromancy. Since this was the case, he decided to experiment with the small skeleton.
First of all, refining materials were needed to refine demonic treasures. Since he was just experimenting for fun, Han Shuo decided to use the small skeleton as the main ingredient. There were some worthless fresh blood of low-level magical creatures in the warehouse, along with other trash such as bone powder, salamander tails, and so on. All of these became auxiliary materials for the demon treasure.
Some unique demonic treasures required very complex materials that required arduous trials to obtain. It wasn't even a sure thing that they existed in this world. Han Shuo ignored all this and instead grabbed random items to satisfy his sudden impulse. He returned to the lab and grabbed a small bucket that no one was using, as well as various necromancy ingredients that were left over from the students' use. He had no idea what they were.
Han Shuo sneaked back to the warehouse under the cover of night and carefully closed the door. He first placed the skeleton in the bucket, then randomly poured in all the low-level monster blood, bone powder, salamander tail and other materials, followed by a solid bucket of water. There was now an ugly
Now that the little skeleton was taking out the rubbish in the mornings, and no longer had to take over Carey and Borg's duties, Han Shuo suddenly had a lot more free time on his hands. He didn't ask Jack to 'borrow' any more magic books during this time, but instead turned his attention to studying the 'Fundamentals of Necromancy' thoroughly in order to build a solid foundation of knowledge.

Han Shuo sneaked back to the warehouse under the cover of night and carefully closed the door. He first placed the skeleton in the bucket, and then just randomly poured in all the low-level monster blood, bone powder, salamander goo, and other ingredients followed by a solid bucket of water. There was now an ugly riot of colour in a bucket filled with an assortment of... things. Only the skeleton's head was above the water, completely unaware of what was happening.
Han Shuo thought for a moment as he closed his eyes and slowly ran through Chu Cang Lan's knowledge of refining demonic treasures. Aside from the various ingredients, the refining of demonic treasures also required the establishment of a special matrix. The practitioner would also need to train his magic yuan for several days or months according to a special method. Some particularly powerful demon treasures even required years of training.
Of course, the current Han Shuo could not accomplish any of this. He found the simplest refinement method and dug out seven bright white bone spurs from a who-knew-what kind of magical creature. He glued the spurs together according to the instructions on the 'Magical Yin Concentration Matrix'.
The 'Magical Yin Concentration Matrix' was a type of demon refining matrix in Chu Cang Lan's memories. The correct method was to first refine seven natal 'Yin Demons' and use the seven Yin Demons to form the matrix. Once the refiner poured in his own magical yuan, the seven yin demons would concentrate the magical yuan in the matrix according to the matrix's instructions. The refining ingredients would slowly dissolve and seep into the main ingredient. After 36 days of refining with the magical yuan, the demonic treasure would finally be complete.
In order to refine a Yin Demon, one must first have a ghoul. A ghoul was an innocent person who'd died unjustly and was then buried in a deserted piece of land. Only if the soul was unwilling to leave could a ghoul be created. Special methods were required to refine ghouls into Yin Demons, and that was obviously something Han Shuo could not do at the moment.
He stuck the seven bone spurs into the bucket as a substitute for the yin demons, and then crouched down beside the bucket to try and circulate magic yuan to his right middle fingertip. He then quickly stuck his finger into the middle of the seven erected bone spurs. Although the bone spurs were a poor substitute, they were properly arranged and could absorb a bit of magic yuan.
After who knew how long, seven small swirls suddenly formed on the surface of the water, with the seven bone spurs as the centre.
Han Shuo relaxed inwardly as he watched the seven swirls form. He knew that despite his random messing around, he had somehow succeeded. Although he couldn't imagine what the little skeleton would eventually become, he felt at ease and after a short meditation, he fell into a deep sleep.
