When Kerren could see again he was already outside the dungeon. Around him were healers who ran up to him as soon as they noticed that he emerged, some guards and that's basically all.
As he noticed someone running up to him, he immediately raised his hand...
- I dont need you here, f*kk off
It was blunt, rude and hateful, he cursed at healers that wanted to help him in case he needed such help!
He, however, didn't care. He hated healers ever since his previous life. There were cases of them ignoring him completely, even though he was barely alive after emerging, his resentment carried on.
Did something change? No. He was still Kerren, but now they rushed to him as soon as they saw him? F*kking hypocrites. Either you heal everybody who needs it or you dont at all.
If he was still a trashy porter who couldn't hold a candle to the greatest people, would they rush to help him? As if. They would rush to whoever is stronger in hopes of getting some benefits!
Thus, from his perspective, he did everything right.
After hypocrites some people from the government tried to approach him to get a "Mandatory Dungeon Report" which was... well, what the name implied.
Every raider is supposed to report what he got from the dungeon, what the dungeon is and of course... pay taxes from his rewards. Up to 40%, mind you.
Will Kerren do that? Yeah, of course he will... Kill them if they tried robbing him for f*kking nothing!
Kerren didn't care about others around him, much less about that government. He knew many of its dark secrets even from previous life.
Cases of experiments on people were popping here and there from different reporters... who then went missing and the post mysteriously got deleted...
Trusting those people was the same as digging your own grave.
It's not like Kerren would trust anybody at all, he used them if they were useful... if they weren't? Good luck trying to get me to do something.
He called healers, who did the same thing, hypocrites... Wasn't he one aswell? Yep, he was. So what?
Some time later, as those useless people who held "authority" ganged up on him, trying to scare him into writing a report and paying taxes, saying things like...
- Do you understand what u're doing right now!?
- Are you going against the law!? It's not hard for us to report you to the higher-ups!
And many more useless threats that only weak people would react to. Who cared if they reported him?
First of all, Kerren didn't lie when he said that he's in top 10 of strongest people on the planet, he indeed was.
Second, after using those books he would be in top 3, no less! After implementing that knowledge into his spells? Top 1, no doubt.
That, of course, was his dream. It would be the case only if those people didn't do anything and just waited for him to get stronger...
Would such a thing happen? Nope. At best he would be in top 5 after implementing everything, still, it was an insane amount of power and barely anybody would dare to even approach him.
That is if they knew his real power, Kerren wouldn't bother revealing it, it'll only bring trouble.
After some time and some curses towards people around him Kerren finally left. Those parasites working for the government and god knows what else promised him trouble, Kerren promised to wipe them out if they dare bother him, just a usual day.
He didn't call the guildmaster or an... oh, right, the guildmaster was his only contact. He simply walked back on his own.
It wasn't THAT far from his apartment, thus he used a chance to walk and think about some nice things.
About why the patriarch in that dungeon didn't say anything about Kerren not looking like his son at all.
Did he really not see that or did he not mention it? Maybe it was just a different perspective on things, and both of them saw what they needed to see?
After some thinking Kerren thought that it's too hard to get an answer and it was practically useless even if he got it.
Thus, he shifted his attention to rewards he got from the dungeon. They weren't small at all.
He got a mana-increasing potion from it! Sadly, it wasn't of a good grade and it'll only give him 25% of what it should've given normally...
He also got many pieces of armor, a sword-aura technique and some crystals of B class, those were useful to him, but all that was trash compared to books he got.
All in all his profits from completing the dungeon itself were somewhat small, he expected more. If not for those books he might've filed a report somewhere, crying about such a miniscule reward!
Some time later Kerren got back to his apartment, a few hours passed after he completed the dungeon.
To his surprise the building was surrounded by black cars and many men in black tuxedos! The hell is that, some stupid movie?
He didn't bother thinking about it too much as he saw them carry some items and pieces of furniture he saw in his apartment...
They were robbing him!
As such, he approached one of the men who just stood there and watched.
- What are you guys doing? -- he pretended to be a student or something, maybe they dont really know how he looked like?
- Huh? Get lost kid, it's a goverment operation. -- his voice was strict and he sounded like he was some army-brained guy, his tone was awful and was immediately hated by Kerren.
- Man, just tell me, it's not like i can do anything, can i? -- Yeah, no, he will do something about it.
- A report was filled, the owner of this apartment didn't go through government procedures, he will be captured and put to jail soon. As for those items... they will be auctioned as illegal posessions. -- another man explained what's going on, he too wore a tuxedo but was more relaxed.
- Oh, so that's why you all going to die, because u're obedient dogs who think too highly of themselves...
As Kerren was saying the line two men closest to him instantly reacted to it and tried to draw their weapons... to no avail.
They were too weak, gosh, even if all people here combined into one Kerren would easily beat him!
As such, he didn't bother too much. He casted to mana-waves decapitating or slicing in half people who carried his stuff.
He didn't bother caring for his sutff eiher, if it was in the way - he sliced it too. He could get some more if he wanted to.
After a minute or so that would break any normal human's mind because of how gory it was Kerren finally calmed himself down.
There were bodies everywhere1 Of course, Kerren didn't care. He simply examined some of them to see if they had any valuable things on them and them moved on to carrying his stuff back.
That scene horrified some onlookers and people who didn't know the situation.
Blood was everywhere, and this guy just carried his stuff somewhere!? What a f*kking lunatic he was!
Of course, that whole thing didn't go unnoticed and many awakened started gathering around to see what the hell happened.
Soon, even more black cars appeared out of nowhere. This time, however, those people were much stronger than those who stole Kerren's stuff...
Of course, it's not like they pose any danger to him, they are trash, after all.
As such, 10 or so minutes later this whole place was blocked. Many people in different attires surronded Kerren.
If one looked from above it would resemble the start of a bossfight in some dungeon!
Who the boss was?... Kerren, of course!
