Beings around Kerren were silent. How could this be!? Even if he used magic to do it... didn't he throw it a little bit too far?.. What if he hit someone it that hand instead?...
Kerren, however, wasn't satisfied with it.
- A bit too shallow. -- he seemed dissapointed -- Well, since i know you orcs dont really trust magic like mine, i will show you some more. -- saying that, he "dispersed" spells that he just used.
Then, he came closer to the next rock and tried picking it up with his own strength!
That, however, only made orcs around him laugh!
- Magic strong, body weak! -- some of them said such things. It didn't surprise Kerren as he was just testing his own capabilities now.
Even if he couldn't lift it now - it didn't matter as he already made some of the orcs respect him. So what if he used magic? Could he not use it to kill and destroy everything around him? He could, so why care about how he did that? He was capable of doing so anyway!
But, when the old orc wanted to stop Kerren, since there's no point in continuing anymore... Kerren lifted the rick with ease!
Of course, Kerren's body wasn't strong at all, he modified it along the way and found out that doing so wasn't worth it. It wasted too much mana, using spells was way easier!
However, he already started lifting and giving up now would only make him a coward who didn't have enough will to continue what he started!
Thus, he expended even more mana and threw it as hard as he can!
It didn't fly as far as he first rock he threw, but it surpassed the orc's rock by a few meters!
It shocked all of the orc and human who saw it! How could this be?! He was gifted in magic and was incredibly strong physically!? Is that a joke!?
- That'll do. -- he shacked his hands a little -- So, do you believe in my strength now!? -- he proclaimed loudly, that wasn't even a question at this point.
After a moment of silence orcs started cheering for Kerren, praising his strength!
For then magical strength was one thing, they respected it for it's power... Physical strength, however, was something that they revered!
- You are indeed strong, amusing human! -- the old orc didn't hold his praises. -- I accept you as a part of my tribe! We will kill weak humans together! -- he screamed, telling other orcs that this human had his respect!
Soon after that they started preparing attack plans. Many orcs didn't care about such things and simply waited, but shamans and scouts of the tribe had to join the conversation. Without their information and wisdom it would be hard to make a decent strategy!
- My group will attack their main camp. They wont expect that a group of humans will be on orcs side -- Kerren said calmly -- I will attack their most vulnerable points. Mages, healers and anything that i deem weak and important at the same time. Any objections? -- obviously he wont bother listening to complains anyway.
- Good. -- the old orc praised -- If we do that, their vanguard will lose no matter what! -- he chuckled as he said it -- However, what if they're stronger than you expect? -- he wasn't stupid at alL!
- This is war, of course we cant fight without sacrifices. -- he didn't really care about those -- However, i will target mages first so that the fight will be easier for both my and your groups. Without them there wont be any mass spells or barriers to defend the weakened point. Also, many people will be distracted because of my groups attack on the main camp, when they start retreating i hope you will follow them!
Kerren's tactic couldn't even be called one, he simply would target their weak points, it wasn't anything grand and the only reason it will work is that they dont expect it to happen at all!
After some more planning they came up with an agreement! Kerren and his group will get 75% of spoils from the main camp and 25% from the main battle, those percentages will be reversed for the orc tribe, they will get 25% from the main camp and 75% from the battle.
Why, you might ask? As it turned out Kerren was wrong, orcs did have a use for armor and weapons human carried with them, they repurposed them to build shacks or simply made armor with them, which looked crude but was way better than having to armor at all.
That surprised Kerren, since he didn't meet orcs that would do that in his previous life. Those he met were barbarians and didn't care about armor at all! Much less about using something their prey dropped after death...
Next morning came. Kerren instructed his group, he shared some information about the enemy layout and gave them a map to follow if they got lost. After all, using investigative spells took time and it was too crucial now.
He wanted to give such a map to orcs as well, but the old orc refused, saying that his people already know where's what. Also, it's not like they're smart enough to understand them, only shamans and scouts could do so, even the old orc didn't understand the map...
After a few minutes the attack started! Orcs rushed towards the frontlines which was 3km away from the orc camp, seemingly eager to battle!
Kerren's group left long before that, since they needed more time to prepare their attack! They would, obviously, scout the human camp themselves to see if there was anything they could use to their advantage! Maybe some gunpowder barrels or bombs they had?
Kerren himself, however, didn't care to think so much about it. He already knew the exact numbers due to his spell. He chose orcs because human side was far weaker in the first place!
Even if orcs attacked without Kerren's group they would win somewhat easily! Kerren didn't know why the human side didn't have any manpower left since there were no bodies anywhere in the vicinity...
Could it be that they had some sort of a plan? Maybe they were elites or something like that? Kerren could only guess.
Instead of guessing, however, he finally moved. He started walking towards the battlefield, to the place where he spotted a mage hiding. The mage wasn't strong at all, at best a "B" rank, which was nothing in Kerren's eyes.
After an hour or so Kerren finally arrived. The battle had long since started. He didn't participate in it since he didn't want to waste any resources of his own. So what if some orcs died? They weren't important to him at all!
Thus, Kerren didn't bother attacking, he simply observed the battlefield incase he found something he could use or steal. He didn't find anything that would interest him even a little, the best thing he saw on the whole battlefield was a sword on the human camp leader.
It was a B rank sword! "S" class in current times measurements! Kerren, of course, didn't even need such a sword, its quality was too bad for him... Metals it's made from, however...
He finally made a move!
