Chapter 36 - Drank too much!; Ores?;

Kerren woke up in an unknown room. He didn't understand where he was, but soon remembered what actually happened.

The guildmaster gave him too much alcohol! He wasn't in his old body now, which could allow him to in lots of it!

That, however, wasn't the thing he didn't expect. Main problem was him getting drunk at all! He had a new body that wasn't even human in the first place, it was almost pure mana!

How could he get drunk!? He didn't understand it even a bit. He didn't have a liver or even a proper digestive system... So how is that even possible?

After some thinking Kerren decided to drink some more to test it out. Thankfully, as he looked around the house he found several bottles of the drink he had yesterday!

He didn't remember why it was there, since he was in his new apartment and not in guildmasters mansion... he assumed that he simply asked to take some with him, not bothering about it anymore.

Some time and around 4 bottles of said drink later he didn't feel even a bit drunk!

-* Did he poison me or something? -- Kerren thought while drinking.

It was entirely possible, maybe he wanted to study his body or make him a slave? After all, such a thing wasn't impossible in his eyes...

But, as he was thinking about it and him being drunk after drinking so much... He started feeling drunk!

At first, he couldn't understand why that happened, what was the reason?.. But, as he thought some more he got to the crucial part...

-* So it's mana! I cant get drunk, but since i feel like i should - i do! -- mana simply fulfilled his "wish"!

-* It's... strange for it to work like that, what if i wish to be sober again? -- he wanted to experiment! After all, any knowledge regarding his new body would be of use!

Kerren immediately thought about it... He became sober again! That led him to thinking about poisons, drugs and whatever he could ingest that would affect his mind and body... could he also nullify their effects like that?

That was possible! He wasn't human after all, his whole body was obeying his mind! That, of course, had it's own problems, like not being able to regenerate unless he made an automatic spell-system that would do it.

Of course, he could regenerate, it's just that if he didn't think about it - it wouldn't happen. All happened due to his wish, after all.

He experemented some more with various things he had found in the house. He ingested lots of salt, water, he even tried eating some plastic bags he found in the drawer!

None of it affected him in any way! More than that, it even gave him some mana in return!

That made him think that he could eat anything! That, however, was a bad idea since he could still feel that plastic bag in his primitive digestive system...

But it was a valid idea he would be able to make happen later! Why not, after all? If he could get mana from eating dirt he would do so!

As the time passed he inspected his body if anything wrong had happened due to him eating lots of trash.

Nothing bad did... He gained some mana, but 99.9% of it were from the drink he had before! Of course, such drink wont rise the total amount by much. He gained around 7% from the total amount he had before.

It wasn't small but wasn't big either. He couldn't even make proper calculations since he had no way of putting his total amount of mana in words! It wasn't big, it's just that some of it was constantly used, some couldn't be used at all!

He even had something else fly around in his body, he didn't know what it was but it felt like something he saw before and didn't have any conflict with mana, thus he didn't get rid of it for the sake of experimenting later.

Some more thinking later he finally started doing something that actually mattered... More thinking! Yeah, what else could he do? Go and wander around? Doesn't work like that...

As such, an hour or so later he called the guildmaster...

- Sup, do you have any raids coming up? I'd like to participate, i need some crystals and mana-increasers. -- he wasn't respectful at all!

- Hello, Kerren, how's your head? -- the guildmaster didn't answer his question but asked his own!

- Fine, answer my question now. -- he didn't want to wander around the topic!

- So rude... -- the guildmaster said quietly -- We do have one, it's an "A" rank dungeon, around 40 minutes away from you. The raid, however, will start in 3 days. -- he lazily answered.

- 3 days... Mind giving me some crystals? I will give it back from my earning in that raid. -- he immediately asked -- Or simply give me ores, i need Behrillium and Kholione to get used to my forge... -- that's right! Yesterday he got a forge and some others things with it from the guildmaster!

- I... -- he said as if he could barely speak now -- ...will send some to your apartment, they'll arrive soon. Dont waste too much of it though, they're expensive. -- he advised him to not try to leech too much.

- Are you in your toilet right now or something? What's wrong with your voice? -- Kerren couldn't help but ask!

- What toilet! -- the guildmaster barked back -- It's my head! I drank too much! I actually wonder why you dont have any, you drank twice of what i did! -- he wasn't happy with whatever happened yesterday, but it was his choice after all!

- Another secret method of mine. -- he answered without any thought -- Also, if i make something good will you buy it from me? -- back to business!

- Only if it's decent enough, i'm not planning to be your trashbin -- he said in an even heavier voice.

- Good enough -- Kerren said happily -- Tell your men to dump it somewhere in my house, i will leave the door open. I'll be away for some time. Will call you in 3 days when the raid starts so you'll pick me up -- he said and wanted to stop the call but...

- Am i your personal taxi service or something!? -- the guildmaster couldn't help but cry out!

- No, you're my delivery service -- he said as stopped the call, leaving the guildmaster angry!

-* What insolent piece of crap he is -- the guildmaster thought -- But he's insanely talented... that's a given for him, i guess... -- he had to admit that he guy had insane talent which was proved by him yesterday!

They talked about lots of things, such as mana theory and Kerren's personal theory of spellcrafting, which, of course, wasn't his at all. It left a deep impression on the guildmaster!

...

Some time later Kerren was back in the university, standing before the entrance to the dungeon room!
