Under the myriad of suns high in the desert sky, Kaito and his mount, Aria, finally reach the end of their brief journey towards the mountains to the north.
The glare of the two suns, which had been so relentless all the way, now gave way to the cool shade provided by the mountains.
After descending from Sand, Kaito looks back and contemplates the sand dunes stretching as far as the eye can see, a rippling golden ocean.
Kaito adjusts his linen tunic to protect himself from the night breeze which, although less scorching than in the rest of the desert, still brings with it a touch of aridity. He also immediately takes his sword out of its sheath, because he knows that although the sun is no longer a problem, the creatures that protect themselves from it in this region will be.
