The heat of the fire envelops Kaito as he recovers from the intense confrontation. His eyes move across the scene, observing the still bodies of the creatures he has shrewdly confronted. Satisfaction and relief mingle on his features, but he knows he cannot let himself be carried away by the momentary victory. His heart beats strongly, pushing him to keep going, even as exhaustion pulls him back. He doesn't know why he's feeling so exhausted, he's not even badly hurt.
Maybe using his claws took too high a toll? That doesn't make much sense though, considering he's much stronger than when he fought the Specters, which was a longer fight than this one.
