Su Jiyai teleported to the Black Ray base again. Just like the previous nights, she didn't meet Qin Feng at all.
"Where are you..." Su Jiyai muttered in a small voice and returned to her base.
Just when she left, Qin Feng returned to his room. He sat in his usual spot and held Su Jiyai's photo, in a soft voice he said,
"Jiyai, very soon, all those who harmed you will suffer. Once I take the revenge on your behalf I will return to your side."
"Just a little longer," he whispered to the photo as if Su Jiyai could hear him through the distance. "I won't let anyone stand in our way."
His thoughts drifted back to the day everything had fallen apart, the day Su Jiyai was betrayed, and he swore he would never forgive those responsible.
The guilt of not being there for her, of not protecting her when she needed him most, haunted him every night.
But now, he had power, influence, and the means to make them pay.
