As soon as Pei Meng left Su Yun's room, he glanced around cautiously to ensure no one was watching.
Satisfied that Su Yun hadn't followed him, he headed straight for the reception desk where Yuan Xin stood reviewing tenant records.
Pei Meng approached quietly and said in a low voice,
"Yuan Xin, I've gathered all the information Boss Su requested."
Yuan Xin didn't look up immediately but pressed a button on the console in front of him.
A faint chime sounded, and after a moment, he nodded and gestured for Pei Meng to follow.
"Come with me," Yuan Xin said curtly, leading him down a narrow corridor to a secure conference room.
When they reached the door, Yuan Xin opened it and motioned for Pei Meng to enter.
"Go inside. Boss Su will speak to you shortly."
Pei Meng stepped in without hesitation.
The room was plain, with a single long table and a few chairs.
