Olivia hurriedly made her way through the corridors of the company headquarters, her footsteps echoing against the polished marble floors. With a sense of urgency, she approached Sebastian's office, knowing that time was of the essence. Knocking gently on the door, she waited for his acknowledgment before stepping inside.
Sebastian, engrossed in a stack of documents on his desk, looked up as Olivia entered. His gaze softened as it met hers, the intensity of their previous encounter momentarily forgotten.
" Sir, I have an important update. The meeting with Starlight Industries-the merger negotiation-is about to begin. We need to leave promptly."
"I already sent the presentation to your E-mail" Sebastian said, picking up his suit jacket and putting it on.
wait what I thought he was the one doing the presentation.
"I know what you're thinking, I am meant to do the presentation, but I'm assigning this to you, so take as a test"
what sort of fucking test is this Olivia thought
"Of course." I said through a forced smile "I'll ensure everything is prepared and ready. We can't afford any delays."
Sebastian smirked at her reaction. this is so gonna be fun he thought.
~Star Light Industries.
Sebastian and Olivia stepped into the grand lobby of Starlight Industries, greeted by the opulence that surrounded them. The air buzzed with anticipation as they made their way toward the reception desk. A distinguished-looking elderly man, the CEO of Starlight Industries, approached them with a smile that did little to mask the predatory gleam in his eyes.
"Ah, Sebastian Westwood! Welcome to Starlight Industries. And who is this lovely lady accompanying you?" Harrington asked
His gaze lingered on Olivia, his eyes shamelessly devouring her figure. Sebastian's jaw clenched, a surge of protectiveness coursing through his veins. He wrapped his arm around Olivia's waist, subtly but intentionally claiming her presence which left and Olivia in shock
"This is Olivia, my secretary and a key member of our team. Olivia, meet Mr. Harrington, the CEO of Starlight Industries." Sebastian introduced.
Olivia extended a polite smile, her eyes glinting with professionalism despite the uncomfortable attention she was receiving.
"Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Harrington."
Sebastian's tone turned icy, his voice carrying a hint of warning as he spoke.
"Mr. Harrington, I trust we can focus on the matter at hand-the merger negotiation-rather than personal interests."
The CEO's eyes widened momentarily, caught off guard by Sebastian's assertiveness. He quickly composed himself, though his gaze still held a hint of fascination as he glanced back at Olivia.
"Of course, Mr. Westwood. Business is our priority. Shall we proceed to the meeting room?" Harrington suggested.
Sebastian's grip on Olivia tightened imperceptibly, his gaze unwavering as he stared down the CEO.
"Yes, let's proceed. But remember, Mr. Harrington, my focus is on the success of this merger, not on any distractions." Sebastian reprimanded.
CEO Harrington's smile faltered slightly, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. He quickly regained his composure, leading the way towards the meeting room, with Sebastian and Olivia following close behind.
As they walked, Olivia glanced up at Sebastian, a mix of gratitude and admiration shining in her eyes. She appreciated his protectiveness and the way he stood up for her.
~In The Meeting Room.
"So tell me Sebastian why do you want this merger negotiation?" Harrington interrogates.
Sebastian only looked at Olivia and She got the hint, stood up and walked towards the front of the meeting room where the smart board was.
She took in a deep breath and started her presentation.
"Well first and foremost, I managed to put up a financial analysis of the merger negotiation. "
"The first factor is the Cost Synergies. Combining the operations of Westwood Enterprises and Starlight Industries presents an opportunity for cost synergies, particularly in procurement, production, and shared resources, estimated at approximately $25 million annually. Also Market expansion.
The merger allows for access to new markets and diversified customer bases, enhancing revenue growth potential and reducing market risks." Olivia presented with a whole lot of confidence.
Harrington just looked at her and said.
" meh, that's not enough reason"
this bastard he's just too confident. Olivia thought.
Olivia took a glance at Sebastian and he gave her the go ahead
it's show time she thought.
"You do have some nerve don't you?"
Olivia starts off looking at Harrington dead straight in the eyes with a cold face.
"How dare you?,you come to my turf and you still have the audacity to speak to me like that?" Harrington fired back in anger.
Olivia just smirked at him. Gosh he's so stupid she thought.
"Well according to what you said at your recent business conference your company has experienced robust revenue growth, with a CAGR of 12% over the last three fiscal years, which, well, is a lie".
As Olivia dropped the bomb you could clearly see the shock on Harrington's face,he was literally sweating bullets.
All Sebastian did was to watch, he just couldn't stop thinking about how sexy she looked in her red well-fitted, just above the knee dress, with multiple flared hands, not to forget her black hair was tied in what he supposed as a neat bun pinned with a silver hair clip that already had few strands framing her face. His eyes travels to her lipstick and then and there, his thoughts went wild.
How would it feel, my lips against hers
wtf are you thinking about geez Sebastian you have to stop. he thought as he shook his head trying to push those thoughts away and focus on the meeting.
"Your company is going bankrupt and you know it, that's why you accepted the offer with The formal CEO, so you can mess with the contract papers and exploit Westwood Enterprise, I'm a right?"
"It wasn't my fault ,III was owi g my workers I just wanted to pay them"
"And you think we'll believe that, anyways let me leave you a deal, we merge both companies then turn your company to a branch and then you get 5% of our revenue, how does that sound"
"Fine. That'll be fine by me" Harrington said without hesitation.
greedy bastard Olivia thought
"Mr. Westwood?" Olivia looked at Sebastian waiting to see what he would do next, meanwhile he was so lost in her eyes he didn't realize he was staring. Then he got up making his way to the meeting room's door.
why was he only quiet today Olivia thought.
"You did a great job Ms. Peterson"
Sebastian's comment caught her off guard .
"oh... it was nothing, besides it was your idea"
Sebastian just smiled and continued walking towards the Elevator.
