*The Night that Alex Left*
After everyone received their letters, Kaede returned to her room.
She was confused by his actions, and whenever she thought about them, her chest started to hurt more and more.
Kaede sat on her bed and looked at the envelope that had her personal letter inside of it.
After taking a deep breath, she opened the envelope and unfolded her letter.
She was scared of what it said but felt as if she needed to read it, no matter what.
She proceeded to open the letter and begin reading it:
"Dear Kaede,
I know you're more than likely confused and asking yourself why I left. I stated the reason I left in the main envelope, so if you read that, then more than likely you are angry at me. Please allow me to explain.
I need to get stronger, and while you have taught me many things that I appreciate, it isn't enough. That special power I have can't be taught with normal magic or combat. I needed another person with that power to help me. The girl who came to help me said she and her brother would teach me how to use it.
I will be fine, but I know you'll still worry about me. There's something about you that I adore, if Im being honest. While we don't share blood, you and Eve are still my family, and I love both of you. All of you mean the world to me, so I ask of you, Kaede, the only thing I want you to do. Take care of all of them. Help Anna and Raven; I assume that they've been a mess since I left and are taking it hard.
Now there's something you should know: when I was young, you were always my childhood crush, if I'm being honest. I know that sounds nerdy as hell. I always saw you as the beautiful woman you were; that's why, for my entire life, all I wanted was to get you to smile. I always thought you would have a beautiful smile, and I hope to see that again once I return. So you better start getting used to smiling while Im gone.
There were more reasons but I'd rather tell you those in person.
I plan to return when I feel strong enough; there's no timed plan, but I'll be back, and I promise when I am to answer any questions you may have as best I can.
I may be different; I won't pretend I'll be the same Alex, you know, but I hope you still continue to support me and my family. Please protect them; I'll be forever in your debt.
- Love, Alex"
Kaede was blushing profusely. "What was that part about having a crush on me?"
Kaede knew he was more attached to her than the other maids but didn't think anything of it.
"Does he still have those feelings? "My smile is beautiful?" These thoughts crossed her mind, as they were all she could think about.
A tear went down Kaede's cheek as her eyes filled with water.
"Alex...you idiot...I... please return to us, to me!"
Kaede's chest tightened as she thought about that. She didn't know he felt that way, and she didn't even realize she felt the same way.
Kaede was older, but he always acted more mature than his age.
Kaede's feelings told her everything. Age didn't matter anymore; she wanted nothing but to be with him now. However, that wasn't possible, which hurt her even more.
Kaede cried deep into the night as she finally let her feelings about him out.

AN: Hey everyone so you're probably wondering why this chapter is so short. Basically these are mini-chapters that will tell every letter Alex left behind, their kind of filler but not really. Each of his family members and the maids received one.
