Chloe is a twenty six years old independent woman living in the city and owning a huge marketing business. She's an entrepreneur and has everything a woman her age would dream of. Life wasn't soft on her from birth, her parents lost everything when her mother got pregnant and her father eloped on the day of her birth. Brought up as the only child of her mother, Chloe's mother Miss Adele Hayford did everything in her power to make sure Chloe had a better education even if it meant working eighteen hours in a day to make a living.
Chloe's success shocked everyone around her as she became the youngest richest woman at the age of twenty four right after college with her magnificent business ideas but the origins of her massive success still remained a mystery.
" Why do I need a man when I've got everything a woman would need?" Chloe asked Kisiwaa, her friend.
" You might not need a man but in life, a woman must have a man in order to start a family. Or you plan on not having a family?" Kisiwaa asked.
" After what my father did to my mother and I...?"
" I understand your resentment for your father but you need to settle down one day. You need a family so that one day when you're no more, your children will take over where you left. Consider Alex's proposal, you two are famous in the world of entrepreneurship. He's a young rich entrepreneur and so are you so there will be no gold digging in this relationship like your previous ones. " Kisiwaa suggested as she stood from the chair she sat in.
" I don't like him. His arrogance is unacceptable and on the contrary, he's not my type." Chloe replied pouring herself a glass of wine.
Chloe's life might seem perfect on the outside but she had nightmares of her own.
On the day of her big business breakthrough, she began having nightmares and things that looked like illusions. She sees herself in her dreams but they are two in them and her other self always tries murdering her in the nightmares. Things got worse when she began having a hunch that she was being stalked by an unknown being.
" I think I'm being chased by someone." Chloe cried to Kisiwaa.
" it might just be an illusion." Kisiwaa replied.
" Does this look like an illusion?" Chloe said revealing the scar left from being strangled to Kisiwaa by taking off the scarf around her neck.
" I feel as if she's coming for me and this time, she's real, not just in my dreams but in real life."
" I think you need to see your therapist Chloe." Kisiwaa advised.
" You think I'm crazy don't you?"
" No, I think you need help."
" No one can help me Kiswiwaa, she's coming for me!"
Sometimes she sees a double reflection in her mirror but when she turns around, there was no one behind her. Things got worse when bizarre incidents starts occurring around her. One evening, she receives a call from a friend asking to meet on a bridge. Upon her arrival she is shot and thrown into a dam.
Weeks after her report of being missing, Chloe returns but as a totally different person, unrecognizable even by her mother. Same face, same features but with a darker motive.
Mysterious murders and thefts kept upraising around her yet no one could identify the cause and the culprit.
Suspicions filled the air when she sparked an intimate sexual relationship with Alex, the man she detested before going missing.
