Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

—FLASHBACK—

I couldn't believe it, i knew it! He's still alive! He's just somewhere that no one knows where! I can still find him! And his book will be my guide!

"Allison, what are you doing?" Mom asked in a very confused manner, i know that Dad also wanted to ask the same thing but choose not to because he doesn't like repeated words.

I looked up to them and smiled in despration. "Mom, Dad.. I think i know a way to find Ezra.." I happily announced to them, even my eyes were begining to water.

Their faces screamed confusion, asking me what in the world i was talking about. I know that they are confused, i mean— Ezra was announced dead and his funeral was held not too long ago.

"I know how to find him! I just need to go to the places that's mention in this book right here!" I showed them Ezra's book with full of determination expecting for them to have positive reactions.

Mom sighed and massaged the bridge of her nose. "Allison— look.. I know you have been through a hard time this past few weeks— but isn't it time to let go of the past? We don't even know if he's out there or not." Mom calmly explained to me.

I shaked my head. "No.. I know he's out there!" I protested and insisted on showing them Ezra's book. "The answer will be here! I believe that he's still alive!" I followed with a huge smile but it only led to a disappointed expression as i see my parent's reactions.

I lowered the book and looked down on the floor. "Y-you won't let me...?" I asked with drained expectations.

"You're saying that you'll travel around the world? Collage has just started Allison!" Mom fired.

Oh right... I still have my education being my priority and my goal to reach my dream— but what's the point of them all when i reach it without Ezra by my side? He was my sole supporter, my sheild, my sweet talker, my salvation... I'd rather give up on that dream than reaching it without Ezra by my side.

I took the moment of silence as a chance to speak up and look up to them with a determined expression. "I won't continue collage..." I finally mustered up all my courage.

I could see how parents were shocked by my sudden announcement, i know that they're shocked but i don't care.. I love them and i too want to achieve my dream— but not without Ezra.. Without him, all things will remain meaningless... Without him i won't seem to be able to move on with life, call me selfish— but that's the truth and nothing but the truth.

"You don't get to choose young lady!" My Dad finally burst out a shout. "You'll continue collage and move on with life! Ezra, that boy is just part of your past! He's nothing but a memory now! How could you utter those meaningless words!?" He followed, but this time, he was really angry.

It was fine if he just scold me because of my stupid decision, but saying Ezra is now part of my past? He's nothing but a memory now? How can he spout those words when he knows that it will hurt me more than physical scars? How could he utter those words so easily like breathing air? He knows how much i love Ezra, he knows it but still choose to utter those words!

I slowly went to stand on my feet and leveled Dad's gaze. "You don't understand, how can you spout those cruel words without even feeling guilty about it!?" I fired back to him.

I know that i'm being disrespectful to my Dad but his words hurt so much.. It hurts to the point i'd rather want a bullet being fired at me rather than hearing those cruel words!

"Go to your room, NOW!" Dad shouted angrily while pointing at the stairs that lead to the second floor, i know that he had nothing more to say to change my mind and just choose to ground me to my room.

"Why can't you just hear me out, Dad!" I shouted back. "I don't care about my dreams and goals in life anymore! because he's g-gone! M-my sole supporter... M-my salvation is gone.." I slowly went on my knees covering my face knowing that my tears were started to flow down through my cheeks not giving mercy.

I tried to calm myself down but failed. "You can't understand.. H-he was my everything.. H-he was the one who made me change.. My salvation.." I cried.

Mom went on her knees and quickly hugged me tightly. "I'm sorry.. We're sorry.. Please understand.. We're just doing this for your future.." Mom comforted but it didn't help, it only added more fuel to the fire.

"You still don't understand Mom!" I suddenly screamed and followed with a small voice. "He change m-me.. He was the one who made me realize that being rebellious is nonesense! He was the one who made me what i am now! You should be thankful to him for making me change! But instead, you just utter that he's now only a m-memory!" Or atleast the first sentence was in a soft manner, i just couldn't control my voice anymore...

"You're just confused." Dad calmly uttered.

"I'm not confused." I fired back.

I could hear how he sighed hard sounding like he surrendered. "Let's say that you'll give up collage— but only until you realize he's dea—" Mom pinched his sides. "Ehem.. I mean, until you find him.. You'll continue what you have left off." He changed his words.

"Y-you're really going to agree..?" I asked them, ofcourse i didn't have any other expectations because i know they would want something big in return..

"But in one condition..." i knew it! "If you ever have a destination where you'll go to Standheill, visit your grandparents, okay?" Mom added.

—END OF FLASHBACK—

I could only laugh at myself as i remember what happened just a few days ago, my parents doesn't know i left without any permission. I know that they have been panicking right now, but they'll figure it out in the end. I secretly hid a note inside the marble pot that was still designed on the side of the widow.

Well for Tiffany... She doesn't go to school anymore because she says that she found it useless to waste another four years just to get a decent job, well.. Maybe she can say that because her parents are hella rich, while mine is on the second level of being rich, rich but simple that's what my parents always say, very different my my grandma's words..

"Allison, do you think this outfit is a bit too much?" Tiffany asked as she twirl around for me to have a better judge of her outfit.

I shaked my head. "It seems decent enough, but for adventuring? I have no comment." I answered honestly.

Her face frowned as soon as she heared my answer and quickly dashed back to the bathroom to change into another outfit, we have been like this for an hour. Does Tiffany only have outfits not fit for adventuring? Or did she just only pack dresses due to the hot weather here in Lumsberg lately?

Tiffany popped up with another outfit, i was rather surprised when i realized it wasn't a dress anymore but an outfit suited for adventires!

"I know right!?" Tiffany happily exclaimed like she already know what i was about to say. "I was going to surprise you that's why i showed you my other dresses." She added.

Our conversation went on for an hour until we finally decided to go outside and solve the riddle that was written on Ezra's book. Though i doub we'll ever be finding it anytime soon due to the fact that this place was big and wide!

Tiffany pulled me to where Hotler was standing, greeting other guests that had just arrived. On our way, i kept telling Tiffany that Hotler was busy with his work and we can't afford to interrupt but she kept insisting to come closer.

"Goodmorning, how was your first night here?" Hotler flashed a big smile at us which was blinding. I get it that he's handsome and all but how could he let us interrupt his work and just smile so widely?

"Great! Does this place have a five star review or something? Because their service is out of this world! Totaly deserve a five star review!" Tiffany responded to Hotler with a very energetic voice and then followed. "It's too bad that we'll only be here until noon.." Her face showed disappointment.

"If you don't want to leave, then, why don't you just stay behind?" I suggested.

Her face quickly showed a funny expression which made me laugh a little. "Ofcourse i won't! I won't stay behind!" She complained.

"What do you mean by until noon? Are you leaving so soon?" Hotler asked us which made Tiffany turn to him.

"Well.. We only just came here because we are trying to find someone and the first clue is here." Tiffany replied.

Hotler's face formed confusion as Tiffany uttered those words, maybe he's trying to absorb what Tiffany just said— i mean, who would come to a place and spend a lot of money only for staying a day just for finding someone? Well.. That's us, that's for sure.
