Chapter 6: "A Fragile Proposal"
As Claude read Luna's message on his screen, his initial fear turned into anger. The words she had written didn't match his expectations. How could she have asked him such a question? He felt pushed into a well from which he was struggling to emerge, still caught up in his past. It had only been a week since they had met, and now Luna was proposing something more. Claude wondered what Luna's intentions were and what
she expected from him.
Driven by his anger, Claude decided
to call Luna immediately. He knew she wouldn't be expecting his call at this
hour, but he couldn't contain his
emotions any longer. The call
connected, and Luna's voice filled his
ears. He could sense the surprise in
her tone as she greeted him.
Without wasting any time, Claude unleashed his anger. He accused Luna of prying into his emotions, of pushing him into a well he was trying to escape. He reminded her that they had only known each other for a week and that her proposal felt like a sudden push, a disregard for his past struggles. He wanted to move on, but
Luna's proposal made him feel
trapped once again.
Luna, taken aback by Claude's
sudden outburst, struggled to find
words. She tried to explain that her proposal came from a place of love and belief in their connection. She wanted to take their relationship to the next level, to offer Claude her support and companionship. But Claude's anger had shut her down, leaving her hesitant and unable to express herself fully.
After a few moments of silence, Luna managed to gather her thoughts and finally spoke up. She apologized if her proposal had hurt him and explained that she didn't intend to disregard his past or rush their relationship. She had hoped that together they could heal each other's wounds and find happiness.
Claude, now realizing the impact of his anger, felt a pang of guilt. He hadn't meant to hurt Luna with his harsh words, and he regretted the way
he had lashed out at her. He asked her to forgive him for his anger and for not understanding her intentions.Luna, after a moment of
contemplation, accepted Claude's apology. She admitted that his
reaction had hurt her, but she understood that he was still carrying
the weight of his past. She suggested taking some time apart to reflect on their feelings and to decide what they truly wanted.
Claude agreed, feeling a mix of relief and uncertainty. He knew he needed time to process his emotions and to understand the depth of his
connection with Luna. As they ended
the call, both of them felt a sense of unease and confusion about what the future held for their fragile proposal of love.
Claude lay back on his bed, replaying the conversation in his mind. He realized that his anger had clouded his judgment, preventing him from truly understanding Luna's intentions. He felt a deep sense of regret for hurting her, and he resolved to make amends.
As the night passed, Claude's room
embraced him with its serene
ambiance. The paintings on the walls
seemed to reflect the whirlwind of
emotions within him. He reached for a
pen and paper, determined to write Luna a heartfelt apology, expressing his true feelings and the fear that had gripped him. He poured his emotions onto the paper, hoping that his word
would convey the depth of his
remorse and his desire to give their
connection a chance.
With the letter in hand, Claude made a
silent promise to himself that he
would be honest with Luna, no matter
the outcome. He knew that it was time to reflect on his own fears and make a decision that would shape their future.
