Suddenly, she heard a loud explosion that got her and the dog alarmed. Petal didn't have the time to process what was happening as another strong wave of pain took over her body and she just lay there, in pain, hoping that this would end soon.
She tried to catch her breath as she reset the watch to count down for the next contraction. By now she was too weak to get up from the bed, her hair was sticking to her face wet from the sweating, and her dress was two. She didn't have the energy to even wipe her face.
Six hours later, Petal was moving in and out of consciousness. She was struggling to keep her eyes open. The contractions became closer and stronger and she was becoming weaker.
She was thirty but she couldn't get up.
Petal looked at the dog then she pointed to bottles of water that were on the table, hoping that he would understand her and to her luck, he did. He ran towards the table bringing the bottle of water to her.
