Once again, she used a public transit to reach at her workplace. She reached 15 mins earlier than she was supposed to. It was 07:45 AM and she was standing in front of the buzzer call. She hesitated for a moment before she decided to try her luck and give a call, the buzzer call was answered right away by Chris.
Chris welcomed me by saying, " Good Morning, Chris here. How can I help you?
Ziya smiled listening to his words and replied, " Good Morning Chris. I am Ziya. Can I come in? "
Chris: " Of course you can my dear. Please come on in. "
Listening the beep sound, Ziya came in and Greeted Chris and Leslie, Good morning guys, how are you doing this morning? "
Leslie smiled and greeted back, " Good morning girl. I am doing great now that I see you. "
Chris also greeted Ziya and said, " Good morning Ziya, I am fine today, how are you doing this morning? Had your breakfast yet or do you want me to grab a coffee from the Tim Hortons for you? "
Ziya replied back to Chris, " That's very sweet of you but I had my breakfast already before I came in. Thank you for asking me. "
Chris replied playfully, " Alrighty my dear. It's your loss on missing out an offer for the timmies. I am heading out to grab a cup of Coffee to keep me going for the day. "
With this, Chris headed towards the tim hortons which was located right besides the building. The resident's in the building can have access to the Tim hortons as well since it's inside the building.
Ziya looked at Leslie and said that, she is going to head back to leave her back pack and will be back in a jiffy. With this Ziya headed for the back room and left her stuff just like yesterday.
Today while leaving the back room and closing the door, she was more than ever cautious to not bump into anyone while exiting the room as she didn't want a replay of what happened yesterday.
Finally, she came out safely and didn't bump into anyone safely making her way back at the desk where Leslie is seated.
Leslie smiled at Ziya and asked her to take a seat beside her and said, " So, I didn't get a chance to ask you yesterday but how did your meeting go with Aziel? Were you able to safely hand him his car keys? "
Ziya frowned a bit at the mention of Aziel but despite the frown, she replied back to Leslie and said, " I Did end up giving him the keys back eventually but he was very rude and harsh to me. He thought that I am the type of girl who wants his attention by throwing myself at his feet and he was very harsh with his words before even listening to what I had to say. "
Leslie laughed a bit when Ziya mentioned this to her which made Ziya frowned even more and Ziya retorted back at her saying, " You already knew about his behaviour, despite that you sent me upstairs. Why did you want me to get humiliated by him Leslie? I thought we were bonding really well. "
Leslie apologized to Ziya and said, " I am sorry for laughing but I didn't mean for you to be humiliated by him. Trust me on this girl. It's just that it reminded me of what had happened in the past. "
Ziya asked curiously to Leslie, " What exactly happened in the past? "
Leslie sighed before she answered to Ziya and said, " Aziel used to be a very kind person. He used to sympathize with people and was very friendly with everyone. "
" He was the type of person who never even once cared about what status you belonged to. He didn't even cared if you were rich or poor. "
" He changed drastically after the incident which nearly ruined him and his company. He got so much backlash that his company even lost some shares overnight. It was a very tough time for him. "
" It was an incident 4 years ago where he helped a girl who was young and in college, she took advantage of Aziel's kindness and would always stalk him and be near him. "
" She started invading his privacy by clicking pictures of him, who he meets and what he does. One day, she even threatened another lady who was seen with him and asked her to stay away from him or else it won't be good for her. "
" Later on, Aziel came to know about this situation and tried to resolve the issue but the girl was paranoid and obsessed with him that she didn't even listen to what he was saying. "
" Later she exposed all the pictures of Aziel to Paparazzi and the outcome was not good. The girl blamed that, Aziel was romantically involved with him and now he refuses to acknowledge their relationship. "
" The girl acted pitifully infront of the cameras and after days of looking into evidence and collecting the information on his innocence it was a week. "
" At the end a conference was held and she was exposed infront of everyone where she was found guilty and Aziel was claimed innocent but by the time this all happened a lot of damage has already been happened. "
" From that day onwards, he started to isolate himself from the rest of the world and never showed his kindness anymore. He thinks everyone is similar to that girl and has never been same as before. "
" He finally showed some kindness when he grabbed you and saved you from falling. I was hoping to bring him back to his usual self by you. That's why I had that condition for you. "
Leslie sincerely apologized and said, " I am so sorry. I never meant for you to be humiliated. It's just that I feel bad for him as he blamed himself for what happened 4 years ago when he was still 21 years old himself. "
" I still believe that boy still has hope left for him. Maybe he just needed a right person who can guide him appropriately. That's why I was rooting for you to have him come back to his usual self but since you don't want to do that, never mind. "
Ziya looked guiltily at Leslie and said, " I can understand your point of view and I completely understand now why he reacted like a jerk yesterday towards me. I cannot promise anything but I will try and see what I can do for him but don't expect any results from me. "
Leslie's eyes sparkled and said to Ziya enthusiastically , " Really? You will try for me?? "
Ziya laughed a bit at Leslie's dramatic action and said, " Yes but no promises. "
Leslie sighed in relief and said, " Then how about you start from the beginning today? I mean he has already made reservation for the meeting room and we are required to do the pre inspection and post inspection. "
Ziya looked skeptically at Leslie and asked, " Is that the reason why you shared that incident with me so that I would go up and help him out by striking a conversation first? "
Leslie laughed dryly before she replied, " That as well and you know I wanted to clear up the bad air between you too. "
Ziya replied stoically to Leslie, " Wow, you did a great job there in making me feel guilty and sympathize with him. "
Leslie smiled a bit and said, " Oh come on! it's not as if it's the end of the world and you will be working here, so you might have to start talking with him one day. So why not now? I personally think this is a great opportunity. "
