Gabriel
"You are seriously not going to sleep right now," I breathe out as he pulls the covers over his head. Slowly he pulls it back, just revealing his face.
"What should I do? I am fucking tired and there is no way to get out of this room, even if I wanted to."
I sigh. Brandon has always had this nonchalance to him. He didn't care about anything and I know it stems from his mother. Emily was in her world and what mattered to her. She didn't ever give him attention. She didn't show him what it was to have responsibilities and have people depend on him.
"I need your help," I manage, hoping it will at least get his attention.
"Gabriel, I am exhausted. Nathanial is going to come here tomorrow and he will want to speed up the ritual. The least I can do is get some fucking shut-eye.
I roll my eyes.
"Sleep is not important. When your mother died, I found this," I pull out the locket from my pocket and he raises a brow, slowly sitting up.
