A long moment of silence follows her declaration. I stare at her deep in thought, my eyes darting from hers to Lucas. Lucas is confused but I am not.
I know what she is talking about.
I met Brandon before I met Emily. Brandon and I became fast friends until I met his mother. "Brandon and I are not friends anymore."
I take a deep breath as I wait for her to say something. Lucas is quiet and I know he is because he doesn't know what is happening.
"I know but he looked up to you a long time ago. Maybe if you talk to him, he will listen again."
I don't like to think about my past with Emily and Brandon because I am the one who made a mess of things. Emily had Brandon with a lone wolf. A man that she believed could change the life she was living. Mikel Price was a good man and he died in a fight with other rogue wolves. He died before he could ever meet his son.
