Chapter 36 - Tearing Off The Mask Of Hypocrisy

Chu Yunyao stretched out her hand to check her breathing. Seeing that she was still breathing and had just fainted, she took off the mask on her face and threw it aside, "Why are you so scared? I haven't used the most powerful action yet."

Chu Yunyao walked back to her room, picked up a brush, dipped it in chicken blood, and drew bright red skulls on Nanny Rong's face, bedsheets, and clothes. When she was done, she threw the brush into the toilet bowl in Nanny Rong's room.

After returning to the room, she hid her painted face and white clothes under the bed, crawled back under the blanket, and fell asleep.

In the courtyard, Duan Changyu was crouching on a branch of a banyan tree, watching everything happening in the bedroom. After Chu Yunyao fell asleep, he jumped from the tree and entered the Star Storage Building.

In the study, Mo Lingyuan was flipping through the documents in his hands.

Duan Changyu pushed the door open and reported everything he saw to Mo Lingyuan.

Mo Lingyuan laughed angrily and threw away the document in his hand, "I thought she was no match for Nanny Rong. After all, Nanny Rong is cunning. I didn't expect that she knew what kind of person Nanny Rong is from when she stepped into the Moon Pavilion and thought of a counterattack.

The butler said the cook discovered that she had hidden chicken blood, so I began to suspect her.

Chu Qingze, that old fox, arranged for a sly little fox to stay by my side.

Watch how I treat her tomorrow."

Early the following day, Chu Yunyao was still asleep when a terrified scream awakened her. She had just poked her head out from under the blanket when Nanny Rong, who had disheveled hair, rushed in and hugged her. Nanny Rong's eyes were red, and she was in madness. She cried incoherently, "There's a ghost, there's a ghost, there's a ghost, help!"

Her loud voice attracted all the servants in the backyard. A few bold nannies pushed open the door of the Moon Pavilion and poked their heads in to ask, "Madam, Nanny Rong, what happened?"

Chu Yunyao pushed Nanny Rong away and replied, "It's fine. Nanny had a nightmare and was scared."

Those people retracted their heads from behind the curtain.

Nanny Rong wanted to say something, but Chu Yunyao covered her mouth with her hand.

"Nanny, this is the Young Marshal's Mansion. Aren't you afraid the Young Marshal will hear your words and say you're trying to scare people? Think about it, what if the young marshal said a ghost possessed you and went crazy?"

Chu Yunyao made a gesture of cutting her throat. Nanny Rong's eyes were dull momentarily, and then she cried. Her old body trembled.

After a while, Chu Yunyao smelled the stench of urine.

Chu Yunyao lifted the blanket and got up. She saw that the back of Nanny Rong's skirt was wet.

Nanny Rong was ashamed. She dared not return to the side room, so she could only order Chu Yunyao to help her get a clean dress.

Chu Yunyao walked to the side room door and pretended to be afraid, "Nanny, let's go in together. What if..."

"There are no ifs." The panic-stricken Nanny Rong finally tore off her hypocritical mask. She did not know where the strength came from, but she grabbed Chu Yunyao's arm and pushed her into the side room, threatening her fiercely, "The Military Governor's wife sent me to guide you. I represent the Military Governor's wife, so it's your duty to serve me."

Chu Yunyao's defenseless and thin body staggered a few steps. Her forehead almost hit the corner of the table. Her arm was also in great pain as if a piece of flesh had been pinched.

She rolled up her sleeves and saw a few bruised finger marks on her fair arm. She was instantly furious.
