Chereads / Sir, Madam Has Escaped the Marriage Again / Chapter 9 - The Bride Is Missing

Chapter 9 - The Bride Is Missing

"Oh, how can a girl who hasn't married say such things? Aren't you ashamed? In any case, she won't be alive for more than three days if she marries him. She will die. However, her life is miserable. It can be considered her blessing to block this kind of disaster for the few of us."

Chu Yunlan poked Chu Yunyan's forehead, her face flushed with embarrassment.

Only the Third Miss, Chu Yunxi, did not say a word from the beginning to the end. Her gaze was fixed on Chu Yunyao's back as she sat in the bridal sedan chair. Hatred surged in her eyes.

Along the way, Chu Yunyao sat in the swaying bridal sedan chair and listened to the whispers of the people around her.

She felt that she had been able to live in peace in the Chu family these days, not because her scumbag father, Chu Qingze, wanted to protect her but because her existence did not threaten anyone in the Chu family.

The young ladies of the Chu family completely ignored her because she was not at their level to vent and bully her.

Throughout the entire wedding, the groom did not appear at all. The white horse in front wore a big red flower, and a rooster was tied to its back.

Duan Changyu was holding the rooster in place of the wedding ceremony.

When she returned to her room, she was left alone. Chu Yunyao removed her veil, took off her crown, and picked up a few snacks.

Since the Young Marshal did not even have time to attend the wedding, he was not at home now.

What if he came back in the middle of the night?

Chu Yunyao lowered her head and looked at her body. Then, she imagined the Young Marshal's tall and strong body. She shivered.

She just wanted to experience what the ancient marriage customs were like.

Sitting in the bridal sedan chair was both interesting and fun, but she had no intention of spending the night with the Young Marshal.

Chu Yunyao rummaged through the closet and changed into a few clothes. She covered her face with a handkerchief, opened the window silently, and jumped out.

The first person to discover that the bride was missing was the chaperone. She searched the room several times and even searched under the bed. Guards were guarding the door. How could such a big living person disappear?

The bridesmaid was scared to death. The guard immediately informed the butler.

The butler secretly sent people to search the entire manor, except for the Young Marshal's bedroom, but he did not find the bride.

When the rooster crowed, everyone was exhausted. The butler stood at the door of the Young Marshal's bedroom, his hesitation preventing him from taking another step forward. After thinking about it, he finally decided to go back to sleep.

No one seemed to care about the bride's absence. However, the butler discovered they were cheated because the Chu family had sent an unappealing and unintelligent daughter they did not want. Duan Changyu, who was hugging the rooster, was so angry that he almost shot someone to death.

The Young Marshal had been looking for the woman who had saved him these few days even though his wounds had yet to heal. He had just returned to rest, so it was better not to disturb him.

In the entire manor, only two people slept soundly.

Mo Lingyuan finally found some clues last night. The woman who almost crippled him had entered Jin City. Since she was in his territory, he would find her sooner or later. So, after returning in the middle of the night, he went to bed and slept soundly. He had a dreamless night.

Chu Yunyao had never slept in such a comfortable bed since she transmigrated, and she guessed that the Young Marshal was not back home. Even if he came back in the middle of the night, he would go to their bridal chamber. She boldly rolled around on the big bed a few times and fell asleep while hugging the thin blanket.

The next day, Mo Lingyuan slowly opened his eyes.

There was someone beside him.

Mo Lingyuan turned his head and met Chu Yunyao's sleepy eyes.
