"Brother? Dad? What happened? Why do you look so worried?" Tanya tilted her head as she asked.
Jin and Leo glanced at each other before asking worriedly.
"Don't you feel anything, Tanya?"
"Sister there were flames that shot to your forehead."
"Are you hurt anywhere, daughter?"
"Sister, don't you feel anything off?"
…
Looking at her brother and father who both had worried expressions on their faces, Tanya giggled softly, "I'm fine, you don't have to make those funny looks with your faces anymore."
Then she caressed her forehead, resulting in both Jin and Leo reacting again.
"Why sister, is there something wrong with your forehead?"
"Daughter, you can tell us if something's wrong!"
…
Laughing softly at their silliness, Tanya shook her head and said with a cute voice, "Mhm, I'm really fine though. It just feels a little warm."
Hearing her saying that there wasn't anything wrong, both Jin and Leo heaved a sigh of relief.
"But why did flames suddenly shoot out of the sculpture?" Jin asked his father.
Leo shook his head helplessly and said, "I don't know either. I'm really in the dark about these things."
"Did mom also know about this?"
"Yes, I also showed her the contents of the book. However, she said that she felt dizzy trying to comprehend what was in it."
While the father and son conversed, Tanya adorably listened to the side. She still didn't understand what they were saying, though.
"Well, I guess there's only one way to find out." Jin looked at the book at the altar and said, "It must be in the book, dad."
Leo nodded, it was also what he thought. "The book only contains rubbish words and rituals of worshipping the sun. Though if it's you, you might find something in it."
Jin nodded and before turning confused, "Rubbish words? Dad, have you read the book?"
Leo blushed and answered, "No, w-well I don't really like reading books…"
He noticed his son who was only looking at him with a blank expression and faltered, "Alright, I can't understand the book. Although I can read the words, I can't comprehend what it means. Not even my mother nor the generations before her could understand the words in the book."
"What?" Jin's eyes widened in surprise.
Then, Leo seemed to have thought of something and said, "However, I knew one thing."
Both Jin and Tanya curiously listened with their ears perked up.
Leo cleared his throat and continued, "I've shown you my aura technique, right? It's a very powerful technique capable of coating my weapon in flames that has been passed down in the family. However, it was also a known fact that it came from the book."
Jin's eyes lit up with interest while Tanya could be seen playing with her brother's hair.
However, upon hearing what their father told them, Tanya reacted and said, "Dad! Can I learn it too? I have fire affinity like you so it should be fine, right?"
Leo looked at his daughter and smiled, "Yes, yes, of course you can! I'll teach you all the things you want."
Jin smiled, looking proud of his little sister.
"Dad, can I bring the book with me to read?" He asked while pointing at the book.
Leo nodded and said, "Yes, just be careful, okay?"
Jin smiled in delight, but then turned serious again, "About the officials asking for my sister to be taken to the capital… it won't be easy to refuse them, right? After all, if sister is really the best talent of the kingdom, they wouldn't give up easily."
Leo smiled and reassured his son, "Don't worry, your mother and I have been planning on sending both of you to the Training Center of the fortress after your Awakening Ceremony, so I'll just use that couple with other excuses to at least mitigate the problem."
Jin looked strangely at their father, he didn't expect him to really be able to think of a solution given how their mother had always been in charge of everything in the past.
Then, he realized something and said, "Wait, Training Center?"
"Yes, it will start a week after the Awakening Ceremony so prepare accordingly." Leo answered his son.
"Huh?" Jin was startled.
'Isn't this a little too sudden? Why did he only say this now?' He thought, thinking that their father was really a little less responsible than their mother.
* * *
A few days later…
Jin was sitting in their backyard with a thick book in hand. He looked at the cover of the book, seeing it filled with ancient drawings.
However, what was really eye-catching about it was the drawing of the sun with a silhouette of a woman at the center.
"Book of the Sun…" Jin read the title of the book in a whisper.
He had been studying the book in these few days and had been repeatedly amazed by it.
'Just who wrote this thing…' He wondered.
All that was in it were general knowledge and various rituals to worship the sun. However, Jin knows that it was only on the surface.
There were five rituals called The Five Solar Sacraments recorded in the book. He could see how profound each of the Solar Sacraments recorded in it were, as it could be converted into various techniques.
Other than that, what caught Jin's attention was the energy surrounding the book.
It felt like the holy energy he saw and felt back in the Awakening Ceremony.
However, it felt purer and more powerful. There were also times when it felt warm and times when it felt scorching hot.
At the present, Jin had only figured out one Solar Sacrament with a corresponding technique. It was the technique that their father uses, the Burning Sword Style.
Jin had figured through studying the Book of the Sun that the powerful technique his father uses came from the First Solar Sacrament called Sunfire Offering.
It was a ritual where believers would offer some things which would then get burned in the middle of sunlight, believing that the Sun Goddess Solana had received them.
Through some tweaking, it became a powerful offensive technique which can cover the user's weapons with burning flames.
"Woah! Tanya, you really are a genius!"
Leo's loud voice could be heard some distance away.
This caught Jin's attention as he looked to where his father and sister where training.
