Crackle~ Crackle~
Orange flames burned brightly, covering Leo's greatsword.
'Damn it, I'm almost out of aura.' He thought as he continued slashing.
It had been a day or so since the battle started, meaning that they had been continuously fighting for at least a day straight.
On the other side of the battlefield, two figures could be seen exchanging blows.
A middle aged man with gray beard and messy gray hair, and a man with pale skin and blood red eyes.
The middle aged man was Lord Axton, who was holding a silver spear in his hand.
"Human! Die!" The man with pale skin and blood red eyes brandished the spear made of blood in his hand and lunged at Lord Axton.
Brrrr!
The spear in Lord Axton's hand began to vibrate as waves of aura came out of it. He then pointed his spear at the vampire, welcoming its attack.
Boom—
Their clash shook the battlefield.

It had been a day since Jin's mother told him about the condition of his body.
It was 4 in the morning and he was currently doing his morning exercise.
Although becoming a warrior who excels in physical strength was not possible, he still deemed it necessary to have a healthy body.
Yesterday, Jin had asked his mother more questions about supernatural powers and espers to learn more about them.
Currently, he only knew that supernatural powers were commonly awakened when an individual tried to intake worldly energy for the first time.
His mother also told him about the Awakening Ceremony where children at the age of 10 would undergo a test where they will discover their talent in Aura, Mana, and Holy Energy, as well as their affinity.
After reading more books related to worldly energies, Jin found out the different traits of a certain worldly energy.
For example, warriors who have affinity with flames could coat their weapons with flames and whatnot. On the other hand, while mages aren't limited by their affinity, they would have an easier time in learning magic related to their affinity.
For example, a mage with fire affinity would have an easier time learning and casting fire magic than ice magic. However, they could also learn ice magic.
Meanwhile, priests were a profession largely dependent on their faith in a god. The strength of their faith would increase their intake of holy energy.
However, the case was different for espers. Since the supernatural powers they wield couldn't be explained, they didn't have a system for it.
A powerful esper could only be described as "comparable to a Master Class or not".
Jin even read about some outstanding people in history with the supernatural power of anti-energy. Of course, there were also unlucky people with the supernatural power of farting out flames from their butt.
Thinking about this, Jin unconsciously touched his butt.
'Anything but that.' He thought.
After exercising until he plopped down to the ground, he got up and headed to their mini library to read some books.

A week later…
Knock~ Knock~
It was around 12 noon when knocks sounded from the door.
Tiana held her children's hands as they excitedly went to the door.
Creak~
"Hon!" Standing there was Leo, who excitedly spread his arms and rushed towards his family to hug them the moment the door opened.
However, he was met with a stop gesture from his wife.
"Wash first!" Said Tiana as.
Leo turned his head towards his children only to see them hiding behind Tiana while holding their nose.
"Yoo stwink, Dad!" Said Tanya as she poked her head from behind her mother.
Jin didn't say anything but disgust could be seen in his eyes.
Seeing their expressions, Leo feigned a crestfallen expression on his face, showing them that he felt hurt.
"Ugh, come on take a bath first!" Leo did nothing as he let his wife take him to the bath.
The siblings played by themselves while waiting for their parents to come out of the bathroom.

3 hours later…
Both Leo and Tiana's place were blushing as they sat beside their children.
"Haa~ It's good to be back home!" Leo said with a relieved expression on his face.
"Honey, how did the expedition go?" Tiana asked with a soft voice.
Jin and Tanya also looked at their father with curious expressions.
Nonchalantly, Leo said, "It's nothing, but only when we were assembled did they say that the vampire sighted was, in fact, a Master Class…"
Tiana and Jin, knowing what it meant, widened their eyes in shock. Tanya, on the other hand, also widened her eyes. Although she didn't know what was going on, she just copied her brother.
Seeing their expressions, Leo felt bad because he knew that they were worried about him.
So, in an attempt to change the topic, he pulled up his bag and opened it briefly showing the items inside, "Don't worry, it's all worth it in the end! I got 20 taels of gold in addition to being able to keep anything we looted from the vampire's lair to ourselves!"
Jin and Tanya didn't know what it meant so they had neutral expressions. Tiana, on the other hand, widened her eyes in shock once again.
"20 tales of gold…??" Tiana muttered blankly, as if unable to believe what she heard.
Leo grinned and said, "I know right!"
After a long while of chatting with each other, Tiana noticed that the sun had already set. She hurriedly got up to prepare dinner.
"Hon, let me help—" Leo was about to get up when he got shot down by Tiana.
"No, I know you're tired so just let me."
"Dad, we want to heaw mowe of yoow stowies!" Tanya adorably asked.
Jin stared at him with curious eyes too.
Unable to resist the cuteness of his children, Leo gave in and told him stories about the expedition.
Of course, he left out the bloody parts and focused more on his heroic moments.
Jin and Tanya's expressions changed between awe, fear and cheering for their father.
Tiana, who was preparing dinner in the kitchen, smiled softly as she heard her family's chatter.
