"AHHH! "Her voice scares the swans who, in a hurry lead their cygnets in the reeds growing on the edge of the lake.
"Old man! "She glares at the elder with resentful eyes. She glances at the swans that vanished, her face saddening.
"Your enjoyment is over. We come here to train after all." Stefan is sitting on the stone and looks down on her. The girl pouted.
"If you say so …" She stands up and looks at the ring she has on her finger.
"Look at the sun …. Soon it will be night. You have to go back to the castle. "The man is glancing at the sun.
Dina analyses his words and then she says, "We are going to the castle." She looks at the grandpa who smirks." Nope. Today you will learn to teleport by yourself."
".... I should learn that …and more …We have few days till the wedding." Her serious face is looking towards Stefan who nods.
After they depart from the lake a few meters, they are situated in a big field.
"Lesson number 1. Naming your blood is a practice that will ensure a stronger connection to it. Only a few vampires know this secret. I don't think you named it .." The grandpa's words are cut by Dina.
"Crimson, you shall show yourself in your full form!" Her voice is thundering.
Stefan blinks and raises his eyebrows.
//Yes, master. // Crimson's voice is echoing in the woods as it forms a big mirror-like circle, that moves circular.
Dina looks seriously at the man who watches her amazed.
"I think we can skip the first three lessons." He laughs shortly and continues, "Your blood, seems pretty high rank. Who bit you?" The man inspects Crimson.
"Angelo de Laire." Her voice has a hint of sadness.
"Hmmm…. then you're lucky. He has a similar quality of blood as Sebastian." His last words are making Dina surprised.
"Moving on …. Teleportation is a rather simple spell. What is important is the way you teach your blood to do it. For example: If I thought my blood to teleport me just by the simple fact that I think of a specific address is better than snapping my fingers or cutting my wrist. In a situation of danger, you can take action faster. "Stefan explains some more stuff and she listens carefully.
"I think I got it." In the end, the girl claps her hands and wants to try to teleport herself.
They planned to make her use her thoughts as a center of command. Since her blood had the potential to be trained this way.
Dina closes her eyes and as Stefan tells her, "Try sit on that stone, "she thinks in order to teleport.
'I have to sit on that stone …hmmm…. I just have to use the command word 'shall' and add stone …..'
Her thoughts are formulating the command but nothing happens.
"Is not working." The girl is opening her eyes and she looks disappointed at the man who frowns.
"Have you tried to formulate the command?" Stefan is staring at her.
"Yea …why asking?" She seems utterly confused.
"Didn't I tell you to picture the place? To feel the place! To sense it! Formulating commands is only when you talk ...Sigh …Try again."
The man gesticulates with his hand pointing at his brain." Try again using your imagination."
Dina breathes heavily and closing her eyes, she imagines the castle, her room.
She never had any feelings associated with the stone, where she is supposed to sit, but she remembers the feelings she has in the room. The girl can picture in her mind the bed, the chair, and the table. In her mind, everything seemed so vivid.
For a second she wishes to be there.
Stefan looks at the girl and as he blinks, she vanishes.
"Where did she imagined to be …. Still is good she managed to do it …. And that speed is similar to mine. She is a fine vessel."
He mumbles to himself.
When Dina opens her eyes, she is sitting in the middle of her room. Her face lightens and she feels like she accomplished something great.
Her excitement is interrupted by the knock on her door. With fast steps, she opens the door.
August was smiling tilting his head." What's up, Queen?" His behavior is making Dina confused but she lets him in.
"Why are you dressed like this?" The boy points at the pants and the large shirt.
She scratches her head remembering that she changed in her grandma's clothes before going out of the house. Stefan was pleased with her choice. The dress she had on her was left where now Stefan is.
"Hmmm…is more comfortable. What brings you here? I heard from Mary that you left the castle."
She asks the boy as she sits on the bed.
"I have good news …and bad news. "His forehead frowns but she loses up as he smiles." Which one do you want to hear first?"
Dina says without thinking much, "The good ones."
August sits on the chair and nods." As expected …. One of the good news is that the majority of the lords and high-class vampire families are with us. Also, Fang is our right hand. "
Dina raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Who is Fang?"
"They are vampires ..somewhat stray …. but you don't have to worry the leader is my best friend. They are an assassin organization used to work for vampires. As long as we have the same goal, they will be loyal."
August looks at the girl who seems pleased with his reasoning.
"And …." August looks intently at the girl who copies him and says, "And?"
"I freed Angelo." His words make her heart sink. She gulps.
What did he do? Despite him catching Angelo, now he is letting him go?
"Why?" Her face was dead serious. August is confused by her reaction. He thought that maybe she would be slightly happy.
"Well, I wanted to do something for you too. You still considered me as a friend even after all that happened. Should I have not let him go? "The boy observes her reaction.
She smiles shortly, "Thanks …. Can I meet him?" She missed the boy and she knows that only August knew where the boy went.
"I thought the same …but …. he vanished as soon as I ended my proposal. I proposed him to help us but he refused. He says that it was not his problem anymore." Dina listens to him and drops her head looking at the rug.
'He is lying …Angelo …..would never let me alone.' She glances at the boy and with a low tone she says," What is the bad news?"
"One of them was this …and the other is that my father caught one of the Lords. We are watching over our Lords and higher-ups to see if he is making other moves." August sighs.
Dina sighs and seems caught in thought.
"Are you thinking about Angelo?" The boy knows that she is not in her waters. The news did affect her.
He knows that she likes the boy despite her aggressive attitude towards him. To think that she let the boy bite her, makes August feel more jealous than he thought he would.
"...No." She flinches and her absent look is observing the surroundings.
"You know …. I was rooting for you. He seemed like a good guy. Guess he wasn't really what he looked like. "The boy makes Dina look at him.
She is refraining from being obvious that she didn't like him talking that bullshit about Angelo. After all, she still kept August near her because she had to see her plan, catching Sebastian, through. In addition, she must really see for herself if he should be sealed in the end or not.
After the talk with Mary, she started to see that the boy was really after her. It seemed like a good move to use him catching Sebastian. Not to mention that he wanted to do that by his own will.
Despite all her thoughts, August could redeem himself if he was really an honest person. She would let him go free.
Though, his words seemed to be a big balloon of lies.
"Angelo …. He should go live his life. Maybe is for the better. If he was a bad guy he would try to kidnap me or whatever." She still can't refrain from straightening Angelo's reputation. August sees that and his eyes darken.
"Indeed …. but how can he let you here without helping you? That is cowardice." August feels his blood boiling. But he maintained his composure, continuing, "I decided to not involve you in the plan. My and the guys will take care of everything. I can protect you this way."
Dina frowns, and for a second she feels disgusted. How can he be so openly arrogant? He will take care of everything while Angelo leaves? He just wanted to make himself look better in front of her.
'Bastard …. he has ego problems …. sigh ….' She frowns, '…and Angelo is somewhere watching over me …. I feel it …' Dina smirks.
"If you say so …I will leave it in your hand, Sir August!" She says this almost mockingly.
